In 2018 the US government, seeing the swell of the popularity of Airsoft, paintball, and 3 gun shooting competitions chose to undertake cross training between its army and the civilian community. What resulted was a national competition in the form of regional military exercises.

This is a RP game depicting the events that occurred in one such joint military exercise. Despite this games name weapons will infact use blank firing adaptors and various hit sensors placed about the body.

In this game you will create a 'Team' of 60 individuals each distinct by their own training regimes, doctrines and weapons. You will be competing with other 'Teams', and given certain military objectives within a wargame. You will recive 2 actions per turn for which rolls will be required.

There are three teams you can use as templates:

Team Green

Team Recruitment: US National Guard as well as survivalists and people from other backgrounds.
Doctrines (x2): Green team are known for their use of green camoflague BDUs, which makes them particularly hard to spot in bushes and tall grass. They are also known for being extremely zealous when taking or defending a position.
Primary Weapons (x3): Ar15 & M16 types heavily customised. M14 socom and Mini 14.
Secondary Weapons (x2): 1911 .45, Glock 21
Personality Bonus: Rage
Personality Flaw: Inaccuracte

Team Black

Team Recruitment: Various police/sheriff agencies, civilians, paintballers.
Doctrines (x2): Black team are known for being extremely stealthy and agile. Able to take a position early on in the game and strike from an undefended corner.
Primary Weapons (x3): Ar15 customised, Tavor rifle, MP5SD6 smg.
Secondary Weapons (x2): Glock 22, Beretta Px4 Storm .45
Personality Bonus: Strategist
Personality Flaw: Incompetent

Team Red

Team Recruitment: Various Milita organisations, gun clubs and airsoft communities.
Doctrines (x2): Red team are known for their use of Adderall, provigil and caffine tablets to keep their attention up. Despite this they have no real doctrines than any of them can agree on but they are known for their relentless frontal assaults which are only added to by their use of red uniforms. They are sponsored by DEES energy drink.
Primary Weapons (x3): Desert Tech MDR, P90 SMG, PTR91,
Secondary Weapons (x2) Steyer M .357sig, Sig P220
Personality Bonus: Accurate
Personality Flaw: Inadequet

You will also generate a character to act as your Lieutenant upon the battlefield. They will have their own set of Personality bonus / flaws each. Every character starts with 3 lives, this includes the 'Team' members. Once they lose a life they have to return to the HQ zone for that Team, which takes time. When creating a Team you must post pictures of the weapons they use aswell as their team uniform.
If you use a anime pic i reserve the right to imagine your character as a real person. Sorry, i dont go for anime characters.
Ive wanted to play in a TSW game for a while now, even have 2 characters made up. One aspect i always wanted to introduce was an illuminati phone. Some next-gen phone that communicates with ultra low frequency or laylines or something. I'll drop a few more ideas if they come to me.

One of them was; in all seriousness, a blank cheque budget. The only thing that was affected was subtlety. So rather than having a budget in dollars, you'd have a budget in subtlety. (If youve watched the Zeitgeist movie you'll know that the Federal reserve has a loophole where they can pretty much print as much money as they want. Obviously an illuminati front!)
Oh man i loved in TSW, the illuminatis depiction as people who were pathologically addicted to puzzles.

Thats the kind of character i want to play!
Is there still space for another player?

I think i want to play a smaller corporation.

Company name: Free Radical Sports Bionics.
A way to tackle the problem of everyone having advanced weapons is having the setting somewhere guns are illegal or uncommon which would sort out the problem fairly easily.

Boring. Everyone needs their steel fix.

Ammo should be the rarity. Like rolled randomly. Rare calibers should actually have a bonus rather than a minus because they wont be immediatly consumed the way that the others will.
Well, if you want to make regular shamblers a threat you have to introduce environmental threats. Like a twisted ankel due to jumping off a building slows you down and suddenly makes you feel like the slowest anemal in a herd on a nature documentary. Also barbed wire, electricity, other peoples makeshift defences. Even those spinning blades made from engines like in half-life 2.

Also, if you want to make it interesting, special infected. Not like L4D, but maybe like runners from 28 Days later or half life 2, combined with a few that are still wearing riot armour or bullet proof vests.

Combine that with the ever present danger of infection and an extreme lack of advanced weaponry. Also lack of vehicles due to highways being clogged with empty cars. Also objectives should take them into the city more than just scavenging, like a vaccine or a member thats trapped. I quite like Resident Evils take on this with the Umbrella mercs being another threat...

Just some thoughts that come to mind.
Oh man, i wish i could join another RP...

If i did i'd bust out my old character idea for a street cop called Kurt Chu, hes Chinease-American and has had fibre optic upgrade to his nervouse system giving him peak reflexes. He can dodge out of peoples aim (not bullets) and use martial arts at blink speed. His martial arts of choice is Krav Maga, the most ruthless style comprising moves from several other styles.
Beyond that he approaches policing like a 1930s gumshoe plucked out of its era. Following footprints and working out who knows what are his stock and trade. He also carries a regular handcannon known as "Cool it." from the inscription on the side.

So im guessing Martial? But i am not reserving a spot, not yet anyway.
Ok so something just came to my mind. There seems to be a difference between the players of this game. Some of them are more inclined to a good motive. Some are more inclined towards a darker motive. As there are two Capos, should we form two teams? One made of the good Mafiosi, and one of the dark? We can call them White Horse and Black Horse? Howsabout it?

What does the GM think?
