Still around! Tomorrow's my last day on the road, so I'll be able to post again soon~
Time skip definitely works for me. I'm driving across the country with a kid and a dog right now, so it's been tough finding the time and energy to make a good post. I'll get one last pre-skip post up tomorrow, then it's probably best if I don't make any promises until my trip is over (4-5 days from now).

I really appreciate y'all being patient with me, I know I'm not exactly being reliable. Once I get settled, things will be way more solid.
I pretty much want everything you listed, Whiskey. I'm a little more interested in exploration/discovery and some tasty drama (more BSG than Days of Our Lives), but I would love to do some funny mini-arcs too, with character development throughout.

I definitely think the mission-based post mechanics set us up perfectly to plan out plots ahead of time. So generally speaking, I guess that's what I would like to see most: intricate, story-driven, collaborative plots.
omg
so
excited

A heads up - starting Wednesday, I'll be embarking on a cross-country roadtrip, but I'll still be around. For some manly man reason I don't quite understand, my other half has insisted he drive the whole way, so I should have plenty of time to write.
Since we don't have a scientist onboard, who will Teige be assisting?
Oh my gosh awesome.

All right, Google Docs are a little clunky, so I decided to make a PiratePad instead. I don't know if anyone's familiar with these (I've never actually worked on one myself), but as far as I can tell, it makes one big, collaborative document that anyone can edit, with a specific color for each author, basic formatting tools, and a nifty little chatbox.

Have at it, folks!

Edit: if you guys prefer separate pages, I can still set up a shared Google Docs folder, but while everyone with the link could edit documents, it looks like I (or whoever "owns" the folder) would be the only one who could create them. The best solution I can think of is just to make a ton of blank documents that people could pick up and work on as they were needed. Anybody have a preference?
Would anybody be interested in doing some world(universe?)building, maybe in a joint Google docs folder? We could have separate pages for each species/world, flesh out existing interspecies relations, go into more depth about the various major points in history and how the different societies feel about them, etc. It could be kind of like an in-progress encyclopedia, with new info added whenever the team discovers something. Would that sort of thing be okay with you, Whiskey?

I am aware that I'm geeking out hardcore, btw. C:
Sorry guys, I probably won't be posting too much in the OOC for a little bit. I've got movers coming on Monday, and I've been procrastinating.. like, a lot.. so I'm gonna be busting my ass this weekend trying to get everything in order. I should be able to get an IC post up, though! I just won't be checking in very often over the next few days.
Yayyy, more people! Welcome welcome~
For what it's worth, dnd, I didn't use a picture for mine - I would've gone crazy trying to find something that matched the image in my head. So you shouldn't feel constrained to one race just 'cause you can't find a picture. c:
