Varrus was less then impress3d with the medical bay on board. The equipment there was looking mistreated. He was glad he brought his own equipment to help make up for the trash he would be working with. The facility wasn't in the worst of conditions and comparatively, was actually well stocked and up to date. However, it was nothing compared to what Varrus worked with in his service. He held a data pad and went over the equipment. He noted inventory and even placed several orders for evaluation by a tech. "I suppose I could use my funds to help get this medical bay in order." He looked through market logs to mark down equipment he would want to purchase, though it was strictly from his home worlds design and origin. He stopped his work when he heard a voice speak up behind him.

Varrus turned his head. His pale white eyes looking into Wilhelm. Wilhelm would then be able to hear a voice in his head, it was clearly alien. "Are you familiar with telepathic communication or would you prefer I use my suits audio function? Personally, I prefer telepathic. It allows a private conversation."

Working on a post. Having difficulty thinking of dialogue and what Tobi would do after. He could blow stuff up but that wouldn't work on the ship.

I didn't skim through. It just didn't make sense to send in a doctor with no combat training into a hostile area. Especially when he doesn't have any weapon.

So when he said 'get into positions', my character went to the medical bay.

If you told me you wanted him to join the boarding party then I would have had him do so. It didn't make sense to me to have him do so because he has no weapons and as a doctor, he had an oath not to harm others unless it was a mercy kill. I didn't believe he had a real reason to go on to the hostile ship.

I can still post something but it would hardly involve anyone.

I could post, but technically have nothing nor anyone to react or interact with. As the doctor, I'm kinda stuck in the medical bay of the ship until someone gets hurt ot i have some reason to leave. At the moment, there isn't much of a reason.

The introduction to the captain didn't impress Varrus in any manner, nor did the 'dramatic' reveal of the ships appearance. Varrus simply waiting for the captain's speech to be over during the meet at the bar. He looked back on it. The boys speech was long and drawn out. Half the crew probably figured the boy was nothing short of arrogant. The ship was decent considering it was in the hands of a pirate. However, it wasn't anything Varrus was impressed with. Varrus was a doctor on planets torn by wat. The juggernaut class ships there would probably tear this ship a new asshole if it got into range of the guns. During the interview, Varrus noticed several things of interest. One, the boys lie detector functioned for species that relied on vocal communication and while it did scan his brain, it couldn't scan psionic communication. Even if the captain scanned his own brain receiving the message, the machine most likely would have difficulty considering it was scanning thoughts that didn't belong to his own brain. Though Varrus had no intention to lie as nothing was brought up concerning his past. Varrus simply told the captain that he needed work and his name was Varrus. Those answers were vague enough to hide ones true intention but did not qualify as lies in any regard since Varrus did not seek to be unemployed. Varrus stood on the bridge when he was briefed about the merchant ship that they were to 'escort'. Noting the engine problem and fight to take place were nothing that Varrus cared for as he did not meet the requirements. This lead him to be confused when the captain told him to move into position. He was a doctor and his position had little to do with combat AS it was in a medical facility. Thus he did not join the boarding party and simply grabbed his bags of equipment and began to search for the medical facility aboard the Typhon. If anyone would yo need medical treatment then they knew where Varrus would be.

It wouldn't be long before Stryker would hear metal footsteps rapidly approaching. The door to the room Stryker was in would them be kicked open revealing Tobi. What are we killing? I can't wait to rip off its arm and beat them with it. Hope they like the taste of metal and gunpowder cuz that's what a grenade tastes like. A short pause overcame Tobi as he locked up. I told you he was just filling us in the situation. He doesn't need you for that. Tobis' visor turned red. It's not fun just sitting around. That's all I've had to do all week. It's significantly boring. Tobi we need to run tests on this, Tobi get that out of your pocket, Tobi blowing a hole through a wall and calling it an emergency exit during training doesn't qualify you as a hacker. I want to shoot something real. The visor color faded and changed back to blue. My apologies. Won't happen again till the next combat situation. Anyway, how are the others? I wasn't currently operational at the time but I heard some members were incapacitated during the event. I almost forgot. Tobi then handed Stryker a data pad. That data pad contains the reports and results on my routine diagnostics tests. Results show you that coding of the hostile hunter droid still hasn't put you as targets. I will continue to run the tests daily however.

I'm cool with whatever, doesn't matter to me. It's your character so you decide. Personally, I think the crews getting to the size that the surgeon may need an assistant. I'm assuming there are npc crew as well.

Race: Uldrian
While the Uldrian are physically feeble species, their intellect is regarded as among the greatest. They are considered one of the most advanced races and thus hold a lot of power. Despite their power with tech, they require to wear special suits to help filter out chemicals and even the air they breathe. Their suits are top tier in regards to hazardous weather and atmospheric conditions but certainly would hold up the heavy gun fire.

Job: Surgeon
Weapons: None, due to be a surgeon, he has taken an oath to not harm another person. Though he will perform a mercy kill as he believes dieing this way is much better than a slow painful death.

Abilities: Extremely intelligent, photographic memory, can perform surgery and understands the anatomy of over 100 species. He also possesses extremely steady hands, and works well under pressure due to the fact that if he fails, someone dies.
He also, like the rest of his race, has telepathy that is used to communicate as his anatomy does not allow for complex vocal patterns.

Psionics:

Mental fortification: can boost mental capacity to allow others to achieve greater intelligence and state of peace. Used to help gems off mental illness and diseases that effect the function of the brain. In normal circumstances, this ability can only help the brain ignore these symptoms for short periods of time but continuous therapy sessions of this treatment can actually cure the ilness. Primarily used in therapy sessions. Also allows him to shield others from mental invasion.

Projection: can send his mind to observe other areas for limited time, leaves his body vulnerable.

Shield: can manifest psionic energy into a shield to help protect him against small arms fire.

Stasis: can put willing people or simple organic tissue into a stasis to preserve bodily function and keep from decaying, it also boost physical capabilities and can allow one to ignore physical discomfort or pain. This is used primarily in physical therapy sessions. This ability helps negate the effects of things like arthritis, bone marrow disease, muscle spasms and other similar conditions. Simple therapy sessions can negate this issues for short periods of time though continuous sessions could lead to an eventual cure.

Personality: Varrus is a cold and calculating individual who always looks at things in a logical manner. He has no room for emotion though he cares for the lives he tends to much more than he would like to admit. Even in times of great stress, you can always count on Varrus to be the calm one. Varrus is never one to be spare feelings, if he can't save your life, he will tell you and will even perform a mercy kill if requested.

short bio: Varrus comes from a neutral planet. Due to their status, many of them have not seen the horror of war and lead a rather boring life. Varrus did not agree to this. At a young age and after was is considered the end of their mandatory education, Varrus left to see other worlds and to aid those ravaged by war. With the Empire stretching its influence, there was no doubt that many would fight back and millions would be injured. This is what allowed Varrus to become the surgeon he is now. Varrus applied to become a doctor and work under hospitals on various worlds. He has spent his entire life doing so and still continues now. Though due to illegal research into persoanl interests, he currently looks for employment.
