@littleone - No. The world would not be better off without you. Those who know you will greatly miss you. Hang in there. Sometimes it might not seem like it but you mean a lot to those who love you.

I'm in the process of moving so I'm currently a bit CrAzY at the second. Hopefully, I'll be back to normal reply schedule soon (after the move and the insanity of getting basic unpacking done)

Turning slightly red, Skye accepted the brush, muttering thanks. She paused as Zelia asked about the night before. "You were a bit out of it last night." She responded quietly. "But you did say something about the spirit asking why you wouldn't tell Trex you had feelings for him. And you seemed a bit concerned about his safety. Though," She quickly added. "You were concerned for the others as well." She looked at Zelia. Apparently the older girl wasn't pleased at what she heard. Considering what Flynn said about the two not admitting their feelings to each other for the betterment of the team, Skye understood why.

Coming over, she sat on the edge of the bed, a little away from Zelia. There was a few things she could say. She could possibly state that romance on a team was alright. That Zelia should go after her heart. But then again, it didn't work for her. Diego. She pushed the thought out of her head fiercely. Or, she could just tell Zelia that it was just lucid remarks. That she wouldn't repeat them. Not that she would. She hated when others talked about her and her "love" interest. Of course, it didn't help that Tye would push it and mock her. But even if Flynn or Trex would never do that, or so she guessed, it would still be embarrassing to have come out. Especially, if she was the recipient. Most likely Zelia would feel the same way.

"If you're worried, I won't say anything." Skye finally stated softly. If Tye was here, she would make no such promise. In fact, she would probably announce it to the world, Trex first just so she could see the hurt and pain in someone else's eyes. Skye stiffened. She was not Tye. "If you want, consider it forgotten."
Trex grunted. "Hopefully by tonight we will be heading back to Magnolia, safe in our own homes." Assuming of course they weren't hit again. What really surprised him was that they had only ran across two of the Caelum wizards. Where had the others gone off to? He had no doubt they would be seeing each other again but where and when concerned him. Thankful that Zelia let him go he quickly left. Now to find some breakfast.

Voices continued in the back of her head and with a start Skye opened her eyes. Like most mornings, it took her a few seconds to realize that she was not in danger. The voices sounding very similar to Flynn and Zelia. She waited a few seconds, listening to them speak, her back to them. Refraining a sigh, she rubbed the grit out of her eyes and sat up. The sun had still not risen, though little rays of light announced that it was almost dawn. She smiled at the irony. Outdoors, she woke early but in a house, she usually overslept. If it wasn't for the fact that she rented one of Zelia's extra bedrooms she would probably be late and keep everyone waiting to go on a quest or mission. Zelia would probably be so proud.

Speaking of which... Skye rose and glanced over at the two. Flynn looked like he was ready to go back to bed but Zelia looked ready to conquer the morning. Stifling a yawn, Skye noted that Zelia did seem better. Catching her eye, she nodded good morning. Though in all honesty why mornings had to start so early was beyond her. Turning slightly away from the two, she went through a few stretches to get the kinks out of her body. It wasn't until she was about finished when she realized Trex never woke her. She glanced around the room. The man was nowhere to be found. Why he hadn't he woken her up? She could have done her part. Did he sit up the entire night? Covering another yawn with her hand she picked up her pack and grabbed her brush. Fighting the tangles, she pulled the brush through her hair.

"Where's Trex?" She asked quietly, so as not to disturb Flynn. "He was supposed to wake me for watch." Her brush snapped. A bit embarrassed, Skye put the broken handle int the bag and continued using the other piece to do her hair. Avoiding eye contact, she hoped Zelia hadn't noticed. She had been meaning to get a new one but she had been to busy getting a few new outfits. Having done only a few jobs, money was a bit scarce. Not that she would admit it. The others seemed so fine, so perfect in a way. Sure they might have some problems but she doubted it was something as basic as this.
Trex shook his head. "Really I'm fine, Zelia." He told her. "I've done this before with no major side effects. It just means I'll sleep well tonight."
Though he did walk closer to the bed he did not sit down. If he sat down he might want to go to sleep and it was nearly dawn. Besides, if he went over and sat down beside her and the others saw them that would just cause for even more rumors. Flynn had already made a few suggestions about the two of them last night. There was no way Trex was going to give him any more fuel for the fire. He smiled. "Besides, what I could really go for is some breakfast." He told her with a smile. "Now that you are up I can run down and get something so that when the others get up, we can eat." It would not only give him the excuse to avoid Zelia's concerns as well as help stretch his muscles and get him ready for the day.

He glanced at her a bit surprised as she touched his shoulder. He waved off her concern. "I will be fine." He told her once again. "Besides, we don't have time to waste. The competition starts an hour or so after dawn. I have no time to rest." He stated firmly. His expression softened a tad and a smile toyed on his lips. "Though, I'm glad to have you back, even though you are a bit overprotective again." His eyes twinkled before turning serious. "Though I'm glad you are alright. I would have hated to lose a valuable team member." He removed her hand. "Please let me go, Zelia. We don't have time to debate or argue this."

Why was he so eager to run? Trex just excused it as a reason to avoid continuing the discussion. Though he genuinely was grateful for Zelia's concerns, and if the roles where reversed he would be on her case as well. But there was no time to rest. Though the competition was today, there was no set time. All it was stated was after the curator's breakfast (an hour after dawn), there would be an announcement. They had to be ready and down there for that announcement. Otherwise, they would have no idea what was required and they might as well kiss Flynn's chances of winning goodbye.
Yay!
Trex scowled at Flynn. However, arguing the case would only encourage him more. Instead he looked over at Skye. There was a slight question in her eyes at what Flynn meant about killing but it was quickly disappeared. "What time do you want me to get up for my watch?" She inquired.

"I'll wake you." Trex stated sitting down. "Get some sleep.You look tired."

Conceding, Skye placed her sword in the corner. With only two beds in the room, she made a spot in the corner. She had no issues with the floor. In fact there was some days the floor was more restful than a bed. It didn't take her long to fall asleep. The day had been quite tasking.

Sitting on the chair, Trex geared himself for the long night. He had no intention of waking anyone. Out of the four of them, he was the only one who really hadn't done anything that day. And as long as he didn't use his magic energy all night he would be perfectly capable of fighting in case anything happened tomorrow. He had stayed up all night many times before and one more wouldn't kill him. With the knowledge that both illusion spells were down, he kept a vigilant watch through the hours of the night. Thankfully nothing happened. And though it seemed like forever, the early rays of the sun finally started to come out. Standing he stretched. Any moment Zelia would probably wake up and be herself.

He went over to the window and peered out. The streets were empty and silent. No one was out this early in the morning except maybe a few people. Hearing someone stir, he turned and saw Zelia. Not being able to help it, he smirked. "Slept all day yesterday and through the night." He whispered shaking his head. "Tsk. Tsk. You must be getting soft."

Though his tone was teasing he was genuinely glad she was awake. Her falling asleep had really scared him for reasons he dared not examine. "Don't wake the others." He told her, quietly. "They both used up quiet a lot of magic energy yesterday. Give them a little more time to rest." He smiled. Zelia had been known to drag everyone out of their beds at horrible hours because she was up and ready to go. He waited to see if she still had her spark or if the spirit and the events from yesterday had done more of a toll on her than they expected.
Trex nodded. "You guys go on ahead. I'll drop off the car."

Chris and Amber both exited the vehicle. "We probably should take off." Chris stated. "It's getting late and Amber needs her rest."

"I don't need a sitter." Amber replied though in reality she was a bit drained. Keeping Aerok's gate open from a distance was a bit draining. She looked at the inn. "Tell Flynn best of luck for tomorrow." She said.

Trex nodded and watched the two walk away. It only took him a few minutes to return the car and head back. When he arrived, he was surprised to see that Zelia was still asleep.

She had nearly jumped out of her skin when the door opened. Sword posed, relief came over her as she saw it was just Flynn. "Yes. She woke up briefly." She informed him putting her sword away. "She was a bit out of it but went back to sleep." She frowned. "How did it go? Where is Trex and the others?" She asked, trying to keep concern off her face. Blast it. She couldn't get close to anyone. Not again.

Trex entered right after Flynn finished giving Skye a brief synopsis. "Those lying..." He clenched his fists.

"She's just resting. The spirit isn't keeping her that way." Skye informed him.

"Oh." Trex relaxed a bit. "In that case, we better be quiet." He whispered. He looked at Flynn. "Amber says best of luck. Chris practically dragged her off. Said she needed rest." He looked at the celestial wizard. "Which, goes for you as well. You used up a lot of magic energy. Can't have you drained for tomorrow." He looked around the room. "We'll share the room tonight." He informed them. "That way if anyone else tries to attack, we'll be ready." Though normally they split hotel rooms, there had been a few times when they all slept under the stars together. One night in the same room won't hurt.

He went over and sat on the chair. "I got watch. You two rest." He looked at Flynn. "And don't even think about getting up for any watch. I want you fully prepared for tomorrow."
Trex frowned. "We probably don't need to go into detail." He stated gruffly as he got into the car. "I would do it for any of my team." He hooked up to the car. "Though, I have a feeling this won't be the last time they give us trouble." He said starting the vehicle.

Gate now closed and Aerok safely back in the celestial kingdom, Amber climbed in after them. Anger was evident. "I wish we could have given that woman a thrashing. To treat a spirit so harshly." She shook her head. "And then to enjoy her discomfort. How that woman ever got to be a celestial is just wrong. Especially to a timid, cute little spirit like her." She leaned back and crossed her arms. "Tomorrow, she's going down."

"I hate to break it to you two but if it comes to a fight, I have no doubt she'll use that spirit again if she can." Chris stated. "Especially, if you show any sort of sympathy." He looked at the surrounding countryside. "She kind of reminds me of Karen." He said referring to the Pegasus wizard who died those many years ago. He looked at them. "She'll use your sympathies against you."

Amber scowled. "Karen was extreme as well." She agreed. "To bad you can't just take someone else's key. I wonder how she got that key in the first place." She sighed. "You would think there would be more rules regarding celestial wizards and their treatment of spirits." She fingered her three keys. "I hope I don't ever forget my spirits have feelings as well." She stated more quiet. "I wonder if Karen and this woman was always like that or if they started out innocent only to change over time." She looked at Flynn. "Let's not let her even get a chance at winning that competition tomorrow." She declared. "No way will I let another spirit fall into her grasp. Especially if I have the ability to stop her."

Skye listened as Zelia rattled off a bit sleepily. The admission of feelings for Trex caused Skye to pause. So Flynn had been right a bit on the two having feelings. At least Zelia. She wondered if Trex felt anything for Zelia. She glanced and quickly rose, seeing Zelia was asleep. Was she back under the spell? Breathing a sigh of relief, Skye shook her head. That was a bit of a scare. But no. When she was under due to the spirit she looked different - more of a deep sleep or coma. But now - she looked a lot more peaceful and at rest. Reaching over, Skye pulled the blanket over to cover Zelia.

Then turning, she made her way over to the window. Peering out, she looked out over the street. The hustle and bustle of the crowds were slowing down as the evening set in. No one had seemed interested in the dingy hotel. At least her illusion was still working. Sitting back down, Skye pulled out her sword and continued sharpening. Of course, if the others took to much longer, her magical energy would be depleted and her spells would fall away. Running a massive defensive trap illusion spell combined with one keeping her and Zelia hidden used up a lot of energy.

The good news though was with Zelia back, the others would probably be back soon. That was of course if they hadn't ran into any trouble. She wondered if they were all alright. There had to have been some fight to get the spirit out of Zelia's head. What if one of them got hurt? Pausing, she took a deep breath. They would be fine. There was four wizards and she knew both Trex and Flynn were pretty strong wizards. There was no need to worry...
It took less then a few second before the timid spirit appeared. Conscious of all those around, Twila bowed slightly to her mistress. "What is your bidding, Mistress?" She inquired very quietly. Whatever it was, she hoped that they would get on with it. There was way to many people around. Her claws extended. No doubt her mistress wanted her to fight. That would make it easier. She would be to busy to be uncomfortable. From the corner of her eye she spotted the boar and the Pisces. Three spirits. Plus at least two other wizards. This battle was not going to end well. But then again, she would do her best. She had been in worse situations, though losing was always painful.

Maria ignored the spirit for a moment and nodded to Flynn and Trex. She knew her spirit hated crowds and not being able to do anything would make it worse. Enforcing who was in charge was vital to celestial/spirit relationships. Or so she had been told. Besides, she just loved to see others sweat. "There, as you can see, my spirit is no longer in the girl's head. She should be waking up momentarily."

"And if you had her keep her in a slumber just so you could get away." Trex asked, eyes narrowing.

Maria sighed. "Tell them, Twila. And make sure you tell them the truth."

The blue haired spirit turned and faced the enemy wizards. She made no eye contact, and avoided looking at the celestial wizards altogether. "She can wake up anytime." She informed them quietly.

"They can't hear you mumble." Maria said enjoying herself.

Forcing her chin up, Twila stared at the town behind them. "She can wake up anytime." She said, louder. She glanced at Maria. Could she go? Where they going to fight?

Maria glanced at Trex. "Satisfied?"

Looking the spirit over, Trex glanced at Flynn. He was knew more about spirits. Could a spirit lie? At Flynn's nod that she was telling the truth, Trex looked back at Maria and Narsica. "Get out of here." He ordered. "Try this trick again and you won't find us so forgiving."

Maria forced a smile. Holding up the key she paused. Partially to show she wasn't raffled, or pretend to anyway, and partially because it meant Twila got even more nervous. "Close Gate of the Indigo." She ordered. With a flash Twila was gone. Maria looked at the them. "There. We've held our end of the bargain. Can we go?"

Trex nodded for Chris and Amber to move aside, which they did. Giving one more forced smile, Maria kept a close eye on them as she and Narsica moved away.

Skye nodded. "Yes. They went to go find whoever was behind this. Flynn said Orian could trace the spirit back to his or her key." She shrugged. "Apparently it worked."

She frowned at how pale Zelia looked. She looked as if she had been up all night instead of sleeping. "The others are fine." She replied. "Amber and Chris from the Pegasus guild went with them." She sat at the edge of the bed. "Don't worry." She bit her lip. It was silly really. She shouldn't have been so concerned. She would have thought growing up on Caelum, especially those last few years, would have eliminated all of that. But no. She was actually beginning to grow attached to her team.

She pushed the thoughts away. "Did the spirit torment you?" She asked quietly.
Maria cursed their luck. So much for that plan. Then she smiled. Stepping forward she stared at the kid. "Back off." She ordered. "Twila has complete control of all dreams. Even if I pull her out, she could make it where your friend will never waken again. Just forever be lost." She smirked and crossed her arms. "If you strike us, she'll know. And she knows my command to lock your friend away forever if one hair of our heads is touched."

Amber stepped forward. "She can't do that. Can see?" She asked looking at Aerok.

The large spirit nodded. "Though I've never met the spirit she is one of the color spirits. I believe she has that power."

Maria laughed. "So back off or she's done for. Let us walk away."

Trex stepped forward, face like stone. "This is how it's going to work." He declared, tone dark. "You let her go. Otherwise, we deal with you."

Maria lifted an eyebrow. "And your friend gets trapped."

"Until you're dead." Trex replied coldly. Amber and Chris looked over at him surprised at his coldness. Cracking his knuckles, Trex took another step forward. "So you trap her. She's already trapped. We kill you, take your keys and Flynn here can make a contract with this spirit and order her to release Zelia. Easy as that."

Maria glanced at Narsica. They were outnumbered. Technically she could force Twila to trap their friend but the wizard was right. Once she was died, there was nothing binding Twila to her and another celestial could order her to release the trap. Seeing no alternative, she glanced back at the wizards. "And if we let her go, you'll leave us be?" She inquired.

Trex nodded. "If you can prove it."

Not daring to meet Narsica's eyes, Maria nodded. "We don't have a choice." She whispered. She held up her key. "Twila, come here." She demanded.
~~~~
Humans were very interesting. The internal battles they fight over something like this. Though most spirits found partners, Twila normally avoided it. She had some friends but she was way to reclusive for anything to go anywhere. But even then, why would she lie to herself? However, before she could really delve farther into the subject, she heard the summons. Of course. With a sigh, she waved her hands making the dreams disappear. Perhaps another. As she exited, she glanced back briefly. She never did get to ask about the celestial wizard...
Skye sat on a chair, sword across her lap sharping the blade. Seeing Zelia stir, she quickly put her sword away and came over to her. "You're awake." She stated. "The others must have found who was behind it." She put a hand out to stop Zelia from getting up. "Trex said you should not jump in hastily." She said a bit nervous. She didn't want to be the one at the end of either one's wrath.
~~~~
Maria scowled but any protest quickly faded as they narrowly avoided getting hit. She nodded as Narsica mentioned keeping the spirit in Zelia's head. She would do her best. But to avoid being captured she will pull back her spirit. "You know," She said as they headed toward the opening at the back of the building. "We can stall them for time by talking. Technically, Ryzo told them we don't want to fight. They might not realize we put their precious wizard to sleep"

Exiting the building she froze. Standing in the way was an enormous boar-like man. He was enormous. Spotting them he roared at them. Turning to Narsica she noticed her compatriot was dealing with a hawk.

"Well, well. Let's get this over with." A young man said stepping forward. His jacket indicated he was with the Pegasus guild. He nodded to a brunette next to him. "What do you think? Is she the celestial wizard?"

The brunette shrugged. "Not sure. But either way she'll need to be dealt with. Aerok." The large beast roared again and headed toward Maria.

"Wait a minute." Maria stepped back slightly confused. Weren't they battling the Fairy Tail wizards? Quickly recovering she looked at Narsica. "Got any teleportation magic?" She asked. Where was Zen when you needed him?

Nodding at Flynn, Trex quickly ran around back. Spotting them, he frowned as he noticed only two. Where was the rest of the Caelum wizards. He paled. Did they go after Zelia? He shook his head. There was no way they could find her. But just in case, they needed to finish this up quickly.
~~~~~
Keeping clouds as a main focus was child's play. It gave Twila more time to focus on other things. Sighing she looked up once again as the young woman called out. Why couldn't she just be like anyone else in a dream? A slight disturbance caused her to stand up sharply. Something was going on with her mistress. There had been a slight change in the energy. Spirits of the color keys were extra sensitive to their wizard, especially when their gates were open. Sometimes it was good, sometimes it was not. In this case, it wasn't. She knew there was trouble but she had to remain here. Though she would rather flee from a fight she was bound to protect her wizard at all cost. Leo had been banished when he had failed his wizard and that was something she hoped would never happen to her. But still... she had to obey.
Closing her eyes at yet another call from the young woman she returned her attention to the girl. Curiosity was a weakness of hers and despite the fact she was reclusive and shy this calling was getting on her nerves. Perhaps another diversion. But this time, with a fact finding mission. Sure, she could probably drag up the memories but digging through and getting the full story took time. And having someone call out to you every few seconds didn't help.
Pulling out the image of the barmaid from the young woman's guild, she sent her into the clouds. "Why do you and..." She pulled his name from her mind. "Trex, keep your feelings from each other?" She had the image ask. Though some dream characters could go off, using the memories from the host, Twila kept full control on this one. Everything she said would be determined by Twila. "You seem to like him and he likes you, or so you think, but neither does anything about it. Why?" The clouds faded into the Fairy Tail guild hall and the barmaid, leaned against the counter looking at Zelia.
