Current I feel like I'm rotating through the same four characters constantly since RPs die so quickly I never get enough quality time with them. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Note: not all your posts need to be as long as the intro I posted.

Ahah... haha... ha...

/starts sobbing

No but really, my opening posts are always long as hell. There's always so much I want to say I'm sorry my friends please avert your eyes.

Loving everyone's characters so far though!
Cheerleader, blonde, good grades and a winning smile all wrapped into one petite little package. Yes, Jenna was no doubt the poster girl for the All-American girl, a heartbreaker for more reason than one. Denying boys left and right with an explanation that she’s focusing on cheering and studying, the real reason hidden behind that sympathetic smile…

I really did miss her.

It was math class, that much I knew, because Mr. Hunter was at the front of the class berating our scores on last week’s test. He really sounded quite frustrated. Beyond that I honestly wasn’t paying attention, my textbook wasn’t even open in front of me. No, all my attention was spent looking out of the corner of my eye to the girl to the left of me, who never even once glanced my way. Then again I should’ve been used to that, considering she did the same thing the last few months in a very pointed attempt to not let anything slip about our relationship.

Yep, there was more than one reason Jenna denied the attention of the guys in our little clique, and as far as I knew I was the only one who knew. She was far less open about who she was than me, even if Ryan, my best friend of years, was the only other person who was aware of me being the same. Well, he was supposed to be the only one that knew; in truth it was probably the worst kept secret of the jocks. Imagine my surprise when Jenna had first approached me seeming to know of my little ‘secret’. Not that I should’ve been, it’s not as though I have ever hidden my appreciative glances that so often lined up with those of the male members’ of my team, and I’ve certainly never lied when asked.

Just no one ever bothers to ask.

“-two, Alena?” I couldn’t help but jump at suddenly being addressed in a very angry voice, only to curse – thankfully in my native tongue – as my knee hit the bottom of the desk hard enough to make the frame rattle. My face skin began to heat up at growing snickers around me as I fumbled to get myself together and meet the gaze of Mr. Hunter, who certainly wasn’t looking as amused as those around me.

“Seven,” A masculine voice whispered beside me, and fumbling for an answer I parroted it loudly to Mr. Hunter.

“Seven!” The class burst into laughter, the loudest being my supposedly best friend at my side, who was absolutely dying with laughter.

“Two… plus… two,” Ryan managed to wheeze out between laughs at my confused look. I immediately turned redder and met the increasingly angry look of Mr. Hunter. The only thing I could do was slump uselessly down my chair in a vain attempt to look smaller.

A glance over at Jenna showed her hiding her laughter behind her hand in some attempt to muffle it, blonde strands falling in her face as her shoulders shook. Mr. Hunter’s angry tirade continued, and my heart couldn’t help but ache.
“Oh come on, you’re not still angry about that are you?” A heavy hand clapped me on the back, one that would’ve sent a smaller person stumbling to their knees. All it did was make my features twist into a scowl as I gave Ryan a glare, the large quarterback grinning in return. “It was funny!”

"Tupoy,” I huffed in mock irritation and turned my nose up, in turn almost knocking a girl over who was at least a head shorter than me as I was no longer focused on looking where I was going. Before I could even apologize the black-clad girl hissed something under her breath and stomped off, leaving me looking after her with a slight frown. My attention was soon drawn back to Ryan as he continued, seeming to not even look where he was going as he plowed through people in the hallway. It wasn’t exactly hard – between the two of us it was a solid wall of muscle and mass.

“Aw, the Russian? Really? I bet that was an insult too, you giant jerk,” He guffawed at his own pun, and I felt a smile begin to twitch the corner of my lips upward before he focused on me once again, this time a more serious expression present. “Besides, you’ve been down the whole day. Where’s that bundle of energy? Where’s the smile? Wait – wait, I got it-“

“Ryan!” I couldn’t help but laugh as I ducked away from the broad hands reaching for my face, or more specifically my mouth in an attempt to forcefully make me smile. I swear, if there was a goofball clique he’d fit right in. Even now he just grinned right in return at having made me laugh.

“There we go, that wasn’t so hard now was it? Now come on, our table awaits,” The brunette gestured grandly to the cafeteria, but I stopped short seeing the flash of blonde hair going towards it.

“Ah, not today Ryan,” The quarterback raised a brow at my response, but I just gave a small shrug and dropped my voice, “Between you and me, I think I need some space.” I tilted my head and Ryan followed it to where I looked, just to make an ‘ahh’ of understanding.

“Want me to come with?”

“Nawh, go have fun Ryan,”

“Gotcha boss- oof!” He stumbled forward at the brutally hard clap to his back, and when he met my gaze I just smiled innocently in return. That’s what he gets for earlier. Finally he just laughed and waved me off as we parted ways. After that it didn’t take long for me to find my way to the now familiar staircase up to the roof, taking them two at a time as I ventured up.

As soon as the sun hit my face a broad grin crossed it, probably the biggest one I’ve had today. Maybe it was Ryan’s influence but combined with the perfect weather? It certainly lifted my spirits. The company wasn’t too bad either, even if I never expected to find myself in the presence of these people. I learned quickly that cliques never mixed, which was a shame. After all there was so much more to everyone than just one aspect! Maybe someday I’d even get the courage to ask Izzy for help with English – so far I hadn’t worked up the nerve. If she didn’t think I was an idiot before then she certainly would afterward. Hell, maybe some day they’d all get to share each other’s company outside this windy woof. I’m sure Srah could explain her ‘tabletop’ games in a way that wouldn’t puzzle me, maybe I’d even go swimming with Ray, or sacrifice puppies with Jake!

Okay, maybe that last one is a little exaggerated. Really, some of the rumors spread between each clique are vicious. It was rather worrisome.

“No thanks,” I waved off Jake’s offer of a beer to go right to the edge of the roof, or at least as close as I could get without wandering eyes seeing me. Why anyone would be looking to the roof I have no idea, but it was better safe than sorry. Feeling right at home I began to stretch my arms above my head, cracking my back in the process. Being cramped into too-small desks all day made me stiff.

It wasn’t long before everyone had congregated in our little hangout, a somewhat rare occasion. How often could we all be here after all? Usually I was absent quite a bit just on my own – practice was demanding. I finally turned around to look to my unusual compatriots, stuffing my hands into the pockets of my jeans and tuning in to the conversation only to brighten visibly. I had to bite the inside of my cheek not to just burst into the conversation and completely domineer it with talking about how fun dances were. Well, aside from the awkward little aspect of dating in my respect. Then again Sarah seemed to be in the same boat.

“I could take you Sarah,” I mused out-loud, just to laugh and rub the back of my head. “I mean, I’m usually considered one of the guys anyway.” Ah yes, the usual half-hearted back-tracking of that certain aspect with a joke. ’Secret’ indeed.

I never did get an answer though, as a foreign girl basically stumbled into our little gathering. Well then.

Despite knowing it was rude I couldn’t help but run my eyes over the girl’s frame in that tense moment of silence after her first entrance, where she didn’t even seem to see us. Just leaned against the door and slid down. She certainly wasn’t bad looking, but there was probably more pressing matters at the moment. Of course then Jake took the lead and offered her a beer once she noticed them.

Yes, excellent idea. Friendship is what kept us from revealing each other after all! Though, maybe not with a beer…

“No beers needed, though!” My accent still tumbled through my words lightly, even as I practically leapt to this foreign addition’s side. My hand slapped onto her back reminiscent of Ryan’s earlier, heedless of my own strength. “You’re welcome to stay! Fresh air, good company, what more could one want, eh comrade?” The last word, stereotypical as it was, was added on as a small joke. When I first came to this country Ryan used to tease me with it it long before we became friends – and afterward he still did, but in a much friendlier way.

Really, why couldn’t everyone in this school be that way? Maybe with less headbutting though.
Haha that's totally going to be the theme of this RP, I can tell already. "Waiting for Blazion"
I'm damn glad you said something Agni. I almost forgot about doing it in first person.
I tried really hard not to ramble but it ended up really long anyway. :c There was just so much I wanted to write about how do you people compress everything teach me your secrets.
Name: Alena Rurik

Gender: Female

Clique: Jock

Extra-curricular Activities: Track [Cross Country], Captain of the Hockey Team, trains in Sambo martial arts.

Personality: Most people who meet Alena would describe her as a giant puppy. Seemingly having no end of excitement or cheer for life it’s easy for her to get on others nerves, even if she does try to contain it. Most people doesn’t include anyone she’s met in any sort of competitive atmosphere however. Alena becomes almost scary on the field, ice, and in the ring as aggression seems to take over her every move. While making sure not to come off as a sore loser to her opponent every defeat is taken personally, and it’s very easy to tell the results of a match the next day as every emotion is worn on her sleeve. Despite her open personality however there’s one thing she’s guarded about: academics. Alena hates being seen as a stereotypical dumb jock, but much to her chagrin falls into that category more than she’d like to admit.

Bio: Alena’s parents were a classic case of opposites attract; her father comes from a long line of hulking Russian military men while her mother is a popular pianist hailing from Ireland. It was pure chance that they met, as after being dragged by his then-girlfriend to the touring pianist’s concert Alena’s father fell in love with her music, resolving in his stubborn mind to meet the woman who made such beautiful music by getting VIP tickets to her next performance. Needless to say despite the circumstances they hit it off and things grew from there (though his now ex-girlfriend still gets sour around classical music). When Alena was born she quickly became a Daddy’s girl, and it was obvious she wanted to follow completely in his footsteps, join the military and serve her country, and he was more than happy to encourage her into such an active lifestyle. It wasn’t exactly hard as Alena was often bigger than even her male classmates – her lifestyle combined with a towering height due to taking after her father in more than just personality. The biggest turning point of her life however came just as she entered her teenage years, and due to being exceedingly open let it slip to her parents she had kissed one of her classmates. A female classmate. While initially hoping it was just a phase Alena told her parents honestly it wasn’t – and they accepted it despite their worry of her being persecuted. It was due to this worry and love of their daughter that they made a large decision about their life – to move away from Russia to somewhere their precious daughter could be happy. While Ireland was an option due to being her mother’s homeland ultimately they decided on the USA, land of the free. It was an awkward move, made more so by being foreign in a new land and to top it off a lanky, towering teenager. The teasing was bad in middle school – up until she made her best friend by viciously head butting him during floor hockey in gym class. He took it well, being the most respected athlete on the middle school’s football team, and even admired her fight. They became fast friends waiting outside the principal’s office afterward, cementing the girl’s status for the next years as a permanent fixture with the jocks. Where her teenage years should’ve evened out her heights with her friends however she instead hit the king of all growth spurts, and actually now stands above most of them – and some teachers. Her height combined with a somewhat lanky frame would make Alena look unhealthy were it not for the toned muscle packed onto her. While she’s settled into the jock role well in the years that passed, in truth she’s a bit frustrated by the elitist attitudes of those around her, and what they’d think of her few hidden aspects.

Relationship Status: Recently single; had a girlfriend for a few months but grew frustrated with Jenna’s need to hide their relationship – this is supposed to be the land of the free.

Username: Blazion

Other: Knows how to play the piano, but is rather rusty at it much to her mother’s disappointment.
Haha, good, good! I'll make the worst character ever now and make you regret it.

Kidding, just finishing up the bio now (I left it for last). I agonize over how I phrase everything.

Of course! I mentioned earlier the jock can be a girl or guy. ^^

Awesome. I thought it implied it could but I wanted to be sure to not step over any toes.

My CS would've likely been up sooner but I got distracted. Dunno why but a friend prompted me to play 18 Wheels of Steel since I had it on my steam without ever playing it, so naturally I installed it, changed my name to AMERICAN TRUCKER and proceeded to wildly veer into traffic while singing (sobbing) the song Reflection from Mulan.
Working on a jock profile right now. It's cool if it's female? Or I can scrap it for a male since there's more females right now I suppose, I'm just nearly done the character. (Damnit Fabricant how dare you post before me)
I had an idea and I ran with it I am sorry.
Full Name: Valora Czar
Hometown: Kizlyar, Russia
Age: 24
Appearance
Note: The left side of Valora’s face has both piercing and dragging teeth marks as ugly scars, particularly around her eye, which is clouded due to being half blind.
Powers: Animal Transformation
Occupation: Statistics Analyst
Cause of Death: Suicide
Biography: When she was a young girl it was never surprising to find Valora often wandering from her parents’ side to explore the lands belongings to her family, a large vineyard they called home in the city of Kizlyar. Her parents looked after her the best they could, but for a child as adventurous as the small brunette it was all a game to slip away. After all, this was her home. It was familiar, it was safe. When the little girl happened to slip away one day and find a dog wandering their lands why wouldn’t she want to pet the cute, cuddly creature? She had no knowledge that every animal didn’t want to be pet, especially one as emaciated and abused as the wild stray. She had no idea it would turn on her with surprising violence, or how long it would take for her family and the workers to get to her at the sounds of her screams.

Valora survived, but with permanent damage. It wasn’t just scars – deep, ugly marks on the left of her face that would never completely fade – or even that half her sight was lost due to a damaged eye. No, the longest reaching result of the desperate attack was that the young girl would only ever grow to be a shadow of who she could’ve been; Valora became terrified.

From that moment on fear tainted Valora’s every thought and anxiety plagued every step, therapy could only do so much. She suffered the worst around animals, as once a source of excitement and comfort now the mere sight of the smallest bird to the friendliest dog would send the brunette into a full blown panic attack. Yet even where the brunette would once go adventuring through her family’s lands she now stayed huddled in her warm, safe family home to watch over her younger siblings. The outside world was dangerous, and unfortunately her younger siblings suffered the brunt of her worrying. Though her heart was in the right place her siblings could only handle so much of her newly overbearing nature before it became annoying, troublesome. Her parents were more understanding, but with a vineyard and other family members to watch over as well there was only so much they could do for their eldest daughter. Valora could only retreat into herself. By the time the Russian graduated high school it was obvious that running a vineyard wouldn’t be in her cards. Words became a safe haven now, and more than that numbers were her strangest comfort.

Not wanting to further strain the already tenuous relationship with her siblings, nor continue to burden her parents with fretting over their obviously damaged daughter, Valora took a chance when she finally landed a job in her town’s government building after years of work and moved out on her own. Her parents were ecstatic; maybe there was hope for her living a normal life. Valora never told them how difficult it was. How every shadow in the strange new apartment terrorized her, how she made every precaution to be free from danger and still lived in fear, how she never felt safe in her own skin let alone in a new home.

In truth the more time passed the more Valora realized she should’ve died all those years ago.

The end came innocently enough. Valora had chosen her apartment specifically since they didn’t allow pets, so when the young woman came straight home after a day in the office the last thing she expected to do in the hallways of her apartment was come face to face with her biggest fear. Valora wouldn’t be able to tell you what breed the dog was, even what color it was, only that it had fangs and claws and that the blood of a predator ran through it with reckless abandon. Flashbacks of the incident that shaped her flew through the brunette’s mind, and over the owner’s sheepish explanations – he’s friendly, please don’t tell the manager – panic set in. A flight or fight reaction lit under Valora and she took off, hearing the dog’s surprised – deadly – echoing through her mind long after she was gone. She might never know what lead her feet there, but she ended up escaping to the roof of her apartment building, trembling, dizzy, and sweating. Up there, clutching herself with the sight of flashing fangs, the sound of a little girl’s sobs in her ears, and fear choking an iron grip in her chest Valora came to a decision that had long been brewing. Valora didn’t want to live in fear anymore.

Standing on the edge of her building’s roof Valora couldn’t even look to the road she had walked on that very morning, instead turning her eyes to the sky. Apologies tumbled from her lips, second thoughts raced, she wondered if she should leave a note – but it would just be rambling; statistics scrawled across a page with uncomforting words. She knew because she had tried writing them before. So it was with her last goodbyes that one last, bitter prayer found its way skyward that Valora finally met her end.

“If there’s such a thing as reincarnation, don’t let me be reborn a dog.” Then a simple step forward, and in short order Valora was no more. She certainly wasn’t expecting to wake up again. Certainly not on a cold slab, naked as the day she was born with the clicking of claws as she tried to raise herself up. The very sound sent panic coursing through her veins, a yelp ripped from her throat and the sheet covering her body was ripped off as she fell to the floor. When the mortician came rushing in to see what the noise was about they came to see the back of their fresh body, sitting up with the sheet pooling around her hips and unable to see how Valora’s wide, panicked eyes could only look at the fur slowly receding on her once again human hands.
