The renaissance was a period of learning starting at roughly the late 1400s, in which europe begins a revival of roman culture and science becomes a novelty rather than a heresy.

Key differences include:
- No armor. Armor was given up when the earliest guns were produced, seeing as they could punch right through thick plates.
- Early guns. Things like muskets and one shot pistols that take thirty seconds to reload.
- A large emphasis on the sciences, arts, individualism, and pleasure (at least in the upper classes. The lower classes don't notice any change).
@Grnmachine Willing to change that to Renaissance, with low magic?
Quite a concept you've got there. I may or may not join, depending on the equivalent Earth time period, and whether or not the setting contains magic (there are WAY too many settings with magic out there).
". . . No? No one?" queried Tim, holding his arms out in a 'I don't know' sort of way. "You people are no fun. Someone else begin the story then." Then he sat down.
"Oh, yes," began Sura. " I had recently been to the Great Plains, and the grass stretches as far as . . ."

"Ok, I'm going over there," announced Jacquelyn. "I want to know exactly who this Sura guy is." Her imaginative child's mind was already concocting insane theories on who the mystery host was.
@KindledBeast Thanks! If it sounded accurate or good in any way, it just wouldn't be Tim.
I discovered that my writing was better in collabs than working alone. Anyone want to partner up with me to write the siege of Storm's End?
"Da cheese-a float-a above da ground. Very big-a twas. It consume-da farmer and go a-seach-a for more a da prey," Tim continued, after a reasonable amount of time to pass the story on. No one desired to add their bit. How mildly disappointing.
"Please, show me to the fire," Sura added with his usual jolly tone and mild accent. "We have much to catch up on," he said to Sean. "Tell me everything you've seen that you suspect I haven't."

DOTH THOUGH EVEN PRAISETH THE SUN?!

I checked an english-to-shakespeare translator. It spit out "doth thee coequal praise the travelling lamp?".
