Gonna have to go with Bush here.
Gavin suppressed a smile when the barrier came up, it was really a good thing, as he'd finally be able to talk to the Grimm. He barely had time to talk before a troll bashed K.C. over the head, freeing them both.

Pretending to chuckle, he grabbed his knife off the ground and approached Clara with a smile.

"Awesome job Clare! I'm not sure whether this would be a good time to ask for a high-five, but hey, we just beat our first Grimm, I think it's warranted." He held up his hand, still in armor and surrounded by tendrils made from his shadow.
Rolling back to his feet, Gavin let out a "Dammit."

The tether had been up for quite a while now, the Grimm had to be feeling the effects, but he just kept going, easily trouncing Clara in a single move, this was as much a melee combatant as a warlock. Holding his blade, he noticed a small crack in his armor, it was more a scratch, and he didn't even feel any pain. Whatever the case, he had to end this soon.

Taking off towards the Grimm, he jumped towards K.C, aiming to run him through with the knife, he had to start using lethal force, he'd have someone heal the Grimm later, but for now it was no holds barred.
Holding an awkward pose for a second, Gavin pursed his lips.

"That works too... I guess." Running forth, he launched himself into the air using his shadow, around halfway he yelled "Ignis murus!" and held out a hand, between K.C. and Clara a five foot high wall of flame shot up, passively burning in one spot. With that, Gavin had cast practically all of his basic spells, he had more complex incantations and other spells but his repertoire was built on the three he had cast in this battle. Continuing to fall, he took his dagger and drove it downwards with a yell, aiming for K.C.'s left eye.
"...Est." Gavin finished, turning and staring at K.C. At this point he assumed that around two percent of the boy's power had been drained, less than enough to cause him to falter. He had to knock him out, even if he allowed the Grimm to let Clara go, she wouldn't let up, he knew that. Thankfully, his incantation had vastly improved his own defenses, he would have to draw K.C over to him.

"Hm? Oh you son of a... nevermind that, sure, we're done, whatever you say..." He slowly manipulated one of his tendrils up Clara's leg, moving it towards her neck in an attempt to protect it. He gestured with his knife in a way that flashed the sun into K.C's eyes, attempting to distract him.

"I'll let my powers down in a sec, it's an incantation that's hard to dismiss... uh, wait, that's not supposed to happen... sorry, sorry. Hm, ventilabo umbra ego... uhh..."
Lauren stumbled back, falling onto a chair and being dumped over the back of it. Landing directly on his head, Lauren growled, pulling himself up using a nearby table. He shook his head to clear the pain a bit. Grabbing a large bottle from a nearby table, he flipped it in his hand so that it was upside-down.

"Mefautretourneràlaputequim'aaccouchée putain de merde!" He yelled, running forth and swinging the bottle wildly, stopping just before he reached the woman, where he bared his teeth at her, then throwing the bottle down with all the force he could muster.

He didn't even know if he hit or not when he dropped the bottle and moved to grab a chair, if he hadn't hit, he was wide open, but he was sure he had to hit at a distance so short.
"Hm, your vampire ready Clare?" He asked with a turn of his head. Raising a corner of his mouth as he noticed it charging, he shuffled in front of her, holding his dagger to his chest.

"Arma." His body was covered in a black cloak, his eyes covered by a layer of red energy.

"Haud ignota loquor, hic et nunc, hic locus est ubi mors gaudet succurrere vitae..." He began to prepare an incantation, allowing his shadow to flail in front of him, prepared to intercept any attack, and even if the attack got by, it would have to get through his armor.
"Adficio vita!" Gavin yelled, holding out a hand, attempting to drain the life from within the Grimm. He didn't want to have to kill the poor boy, he simply wished to incapacitate him and get him away from his less-concerned Briarwhite cousin. This spell would do little damage, but if it hit successfully, it would create a tether between them, allowing Gavin to consistently drain his life at a very slow pace. While he cast this spell, he prepared to cast his armor spell, perhaps follow that up with an incantation.

"A vampire sounds nice, just make sure you're in control of it, don't want you creating some monster like last time." He grimaced.
