Oh, I didn't realize the OOC was up and just posted my character in the Intrest Check... w/e

Gideon

The First Sibling, Master of Garmr

Theme: Hedgehog's Dilemma/The Valedictory Elegy

Age: 17

Prominent Ability: Gideon's weapon of choice a pair of longswords, which he wields in conjunction effortlessly. Like many of Hell's denizens he is a master of the sword. Beside his mastery with the blade he is noted for fighting with a companion, Garmr, one of the many Hellhounds that have at one time watched Hell's gates. Garmr is almost three times the size of the Human's Great Danes, has extremely sharp claws and tusks, and has the ability to shoot fire from his mouth. Gideon has been linked with Garmr since birth and has the ability to summon the creature at will. In battle Garmr and Gideon are a potent tag team, reading each other and working in conjunction perfectly.

Brief Background: Gideon was the first son of the Devil, born to a she-demon of little import. On the day of Gideon's birth the Hellhound Garmr manifested itself by his mother's birthing bed for reasons unknown, and from that day on the Gideon and the hound were an inseparable pair. As Gideon grew he and Garmr became known as a formidable duo, honing their combat skills together in preparation for the inevitable day where Gideon would have to fight his siblings. When Gideon and his siblings were sent to earth Garmr came with him, powerful magic allowing the beast to morph between his usual form and that of a normal Malamute at Gideon's will. While some of his siblings embraced Human culture Gideon instead found himself above it all, believing the Human's and their influence to be below him. He's become known as a 'loner' in the Human school they attend, not wanting to associate himself with them. Despite his rebukes some Human's have taken an interest in him, something that can likely be attributed to his attractive Human appearance. He does have a good side beyond his elitism, actually considered to be one of the more personable demons in Hell.

Six Traits
Good: Handsome, Excels in Academics, Actually a Nice Guy
Bad: Demon Elitist, Anti-Social (Towards Humans), Obstinate

Human Name: Himitsu Katsurou
School Year: 3rd

Hazel was growing increasingly uncomfortable. Hazel knew this treatment was to be expected, but that doesn't mean she was prepared for it. She was at least relieved when Mari returned with only pencil and paper, as Hazel expected some hideous torture devices or a scalpel or some other instrument of mutilation. As Mari moved towards her Hazel not so subtly scooted away.

This is weird. Was the only internal dialogue Hazel could muster.

"So... uhhhhh..." Hazel feigned a smile, "What's the paper for?" Hazel said, meekly pointing to where Mari set down her 'tools'.

Hazel, while appearing entirely calm on the outside, was becoming acutely aware of the danger she was in. Mari may have been 'perfect' in her eyes, but she also knew that she was a powerful mage that has tried to kill her before and might chance another attempt. Hazel knew precautions had to be taken. Giving no sign for the other girl to pick up on she began to form a sort of magical 'barrier' around herself- not immediately discernible to Mari, but obvious enough if she tried to hex her, as it should nullify any spell used against her.
Hazel had no choice but to allow herself to be dragged along by Mari, but that doesn't mean she wasn't quickly sent into her seemingly typical state of nervousness by the unexpected contact. Her face was burning red as she was dragged away.

"R-R-Right now? B-b-but I have to go... Uhhhh..." Hazel paused, unable to come up with a serviceable excuse, and then sighed, "I don't have a choice, do I?" She lamented glumly. As Mari addressed the crowd Hazel merely smiled and waved, unable to muster up any sort of other response for those in the crowd she knew.

Mari quickly absconded Hazel away towards her own tent. Hazel laughed nervously, "Geez, you sure live... uhhh... far away from everyone else." Hazel's mind wandered to the delights that likely waited in Mari's tents. Her head was filled was vision of grizzled corpses, dismembered body parts, offal hanging from the tent's canvas, and an innumerable amount of other 'treats'.
Hazel sprung from the smoldering bed. Her tent had suddenly become a hive of activity, and there were probably more people coming, and she was very embarrassed to be caught in this odd situation with Mari. Her face was rapidly turning red.

First she addressed Mari "Fine, fine, fine, I'll stay wherever," Then Miles, "We're fine! We're both fine! Nothing to see here!" She cried out. Then Kelsier came in, and asked if he was interrupting, she cried out again. "Yes! Certainly! You're all interrupting, get out of my tent, we're fine, go, leave!" As more of the 42 began to fill her tent, drawn by the fire, she realized all efforts to make them leave were futile.

She shook her head and huffed. It seemed to Hazel that her luck had been tremendously bad since she had left the Sky Kingdom. Things like this seemed to keep happening, and she was always making herself look stupid. It almost was enough to make her miss her prison-like home.
I'd say when it comes to making your character go nuts as long as they're not too strong. We have a lot of characters with really unique abilities like time magic, fire, necromancy, 'spirit' magic, really all sorts of stuff, and I'm sure you're abilities can be accommodated as long as they're not OP and make sense.
If you take a future-tech and spin it into magic I'd say that would probably be pretty acceptable imo, but it's up to Animus. Magic can work exactly the way you describe, we have a few characters that can do that.
