We are playing Shadow of the Colossus, now? Everyone is attacking the poor monster's knee.

Hey, Tatsumi is just taking Akemi-senpai's advice.
I hope everyone appreciates my Star Wars prequels reference.
Akemi was barking rebukes at the hunter's performance, something that annoyed Tatsumi, Have a heart, this is our first time! He almost shouted, but held back. She is scary, although he certainly would've liked an explanation on his magic, and Macey was being a little weird about the spider... I don't think I liked spiders in our world, did I? He shook his head, bringing his attention back to the battle. Soon enough Sinthe was vocalizing his complaints, shouting at Akemi. Something tells me they're not a couple, Tatsumi mused to himself.

Luckily for their group it appeared their attacks had a good effect on the 'Roushta', as the hideous spider-creature beginning to stagger.

Unluckily for their group it appeared that the 'Roushta' wasn't their real enemy.

Everything happened at once. A great shaking took over the ravine. Tatsumi struggled to keep his footing, plunging his sword towards the ground to keep his balance. Ground that appeared to be rapidly deteriorating, great cracks appearing around the monster, which was unluckily where Tatsumi was positioned. He leapt back for safety, madly scrambling away from the quickly rising Roushta. It was hefted into the air by a stony hand, and then dropped, to be replaced by something very scary. A seemingly impossibly large monster made of molten stone, towering far above the now tiny hunters, cresting to where the ravine met the sky.

Gulp.

There's always a bigger fish.

Tatsumi, for once, wasn't rushing in by his own volition. The seemingly naive hunter was surprisingly perceptive. That thing's made of lava, isn't it? My sword is toast if I try to fight it. He sheated his sword. He did have another method of attack, even though Akemi seemed to disparage his use of it. He ran for the creature's beefy leg, sword not in hand. Instead he focused again, trying to manipulate the shadow of the great beast. A shadowy sword leapt from the darkness, flying into Tatsumi's hand. This is handy! I hope there isn't a limit to it... He charged the beast, wheeling around the leg towards the back, jumping up and leveraging his weight against his 'sword'. He was out of reach of the knee, far above him, but with a little focus the blade extended, reaching the creature and appearing to deliver a solid strike against it.
Sorry, I've been kinda busy. I'll post soon.
The snakes were beginning to notice their group, and Tatsumi knew they had to get moving. Sinthe went first, without consent.. Tatsumi sighed as the foolhardy man rushed in. We had a plan... at least I'm not the one rushing in this time. Either way Tatsumi knew he had to back him up. He freed his sword from its sheath, running after Sinthe. "Right behind you Sinthe!" Tatsumi called out reassuringly.

As he was closing the distance between himself and the monster Tatsumi decided to make and effort to replicate the strange magic he used before. Still running he raised his hand and focused, forming an image of the desired effect in his head. Just like that a shadowy spear rose from the ground, flying towards the spider creature's cephalothorax. It worked! I must have some sort of control over the shadows in this world... strange.

Meanwhile, as the spear zoomed into the creature's body, Tatsumi reached the hideous snake legs. While Sinthe attempted to climb, Tatsumi decided to try to limit the creature's mobility and senses. He raised his sword and hacked at the nearest snake, attempting to separate it from its 'body'.
I was gonna wait for Macey to enact her plan.
Sinthe and Macey just got pulled out of our regular Human world, see a hideous giant spider-snake monster, one thinks it's silly and the other thinks it looks cool. What part of the world do they come from where this isn't terrifying?
Tatsumi sighed. Akemi was wrong, at least in his opinion. Despite what she said she didn't help the old man for her benefit. After all, what would she get out of helping him? But he decided not to push it. She just wants to look like some kind of cool uncaring badass... so I'll let her. He smiled again, to himself. I know you're a good person Akemi. They continued their path to Paraan Ravine, a suprisingly uneventful journey.

The ravine, however, was anything but uneventful. The path ahead was pitch black, and Akemi suggested they should have torches. "You tell us we need torches now? Maybe that should've been something you mentioned earlier, we're not exactly locals." He shook his head. Sinthe, luckily, had the situation covered. Tatsumi nodded in approval at his resourcefulness. With a solution like that this guy must have some kind of survival experience...

The light spread throughout the ravine to reveal... a very ugly monster. Tatsumi was quick to draw his sword, and almost jumped into action until Macey spoke aloud. “Nice to see no one’s just rushing in this time." He quickly halted. "Yes... good thing." He agreed, nodding thoughtfully. Tatsumi was surprised at both Sinthe's seemingly careless attitude towards the monster and Macey's reverance towards it. Are these guys used to stuff like this?! They treat a hideous spider-snake so casually! Tatsumi sighed. He was with a bunch of weirdos.

At the very least he agreed with Macey's plan. The part about attacking it from a range, not saving the creature's face. "That's a good plan Macey. I don't have any ranged attacks, but if it's still alive after our barrage I can go in and try to finish it off."
Tatsumi gave their vixen a small smile as she offered the old man food and water. Maybe I was wrong about her. However this small moment of redemption was broken up by strange crow-like monsters descending upon the old man. Tatsumi seemed to jump into battle on instinct, not taking time to think about the potential consequences of getting involved in something that didn't really involve him. That was just the sort of person he was. He moved to fight off the carrion-creatures that attacked the old man, trying to cut a path through for him to run.

He got out safe.

But as soon as he was gone, the crow-monsters seemed to press their attack. Tatsumi continued to fight, but his attention was drawn by Akemi and Sinthe's suddenly and unexpectedly interrupted attack. He was sure now. I thought I saw something in the town square... that must be the same person. Macey also picked up on it. She announced that she wanted to find it and ally with it. "I don't think who or what that is doesn't have any interest in making its presence obvious to us."
Hey so I'm in Orlando right now and only have about 5 minutes of free time with me phone and can't really make a post, so can you guys just assume Tatsumi jumps in to help our old blind man?
