Alright, that's good. Also, I feel as if Master Jamie is going to want to talk to Mayt's mother after they return from Edolas and he hears what went down.

Mayt chuckled as the woman he was facing was surprised by their use of magic. "What? You thought I couldn't back up my words?" He continued walking towards Beatrix, even as she brought her fists down in the double handed attack. Watching the shock wave, he called out at the last second. "Energy Control Magic; Redirect!" As the shock wave came under him, a magic circle appeared, and the shock wave twisted quickly, launching Mayt into the air and towards Beatrix. He came down a few feet behind her, watching carefully for any sign of her trying to get under him, and ready to reflect any more attacks coming his way. Once he had found his way onto stable ground, he struck out with his sword, still in the scabbard, at Beatrix, aiming to hit any part of her he could. With one hand on the hilt, and the other on the scabbard. Each attack's speed seemed to be unnaturally fast, and the attacks came so close together for Beatrix to wind up for any good punches. Each attack would have a good deal of power behind it should he be able to land, and he'd try to follow up too quickly for her to break away and try and mount a good defense or offense. However, while the blade and its scabbard moved very quickly, Mayt himself still moved at a normal human rate, but he remained vigilant enough to try and reflect any attacks coming his way, and avoiding them if it was easy enough.

Mayat growled as Lazarus went back into the room, and sat back down. "If he tries to leave again I'll beat the hell out of him myself. Same goes for the next time I see our Lazarus. They're both dunces, and need to get seriously smacked around." Mayat made strangling motions at the door, before sighing, and leaning back. "If this ever happens again, Trin is staying here, not me."

Melina chuckled softly, and wet her lips. "There has been a few enemies I've come across that at the time I was unable to overcome. But as you can see I managed to escape their blood lust with enough of myself intact to matter." She showed off her hands, and all five fingers on both. "Most of my enemies, however, exist now as magic. Or are six feet under, depending on who or what got them first."

not necessarily, to parry is to block ones attack, so meh. and maybe he wants to be close? stop criticizing every damn post i make..... :')

A parry is a deflect. You never out and out block with a sword, as it chips the blade, and if your blacksmith had a bad day, it could get your sword cloven in Two. And locking blades decides the winner instantly, as the stronger one, or the faster one in some cases, will disarm the other. Sword fights in movies are complete bull yo.

Two things: You wouldn't lock swords if Pen parried, and locking swords is a really really bad idea anyway.
