Mayt nodded to Sasha as she came up and used her magic. "A tad unnecessary, but I'm not adverse to receiving help." He stood up straight, holding his sword out at arms length. "Energy Control Magic, Shape Magic: Reinforce Inanimate, Amplify: Motion." Mayt rotated his sword, sheathing it slowly as the blade of his katana turned the same shiny black the one mark had been previously, except now it was the whole blade. Working quickly, he detached the scabbard from the belt around his waist, and starting approaching Edo-Beatrix, holding the scabbard in his left hand. "Joke or not, you will lose this fight. You made the grave mistake of showing me what magic you've looted from someone or another, something I already will not stand for, and you've also told me this will be a simple fight." As he got closer, he seemed to make no move to attack her, but if she tried to land a hit on him, a magic circle would simply appear between her attack and him, reflecting her attack in the exact opposite direction with half force "Reflect Energy: Motion." Would be the spell Mayt chose as his defense as he continued to try to get close to Beatrix.

Melina nodded, deciding to reply to his first comment, then the other. "Yes, a cow is a great deal larger than a human, however, a cow doesn't have the same magic running through its blood, and so it takes a good bit more to get the same amount of power. Just a small little thing, but it makes a big difference. But yes, our magic is what it is. And we've both made all the better enemies for it at some point or another." She chuckled softly, craning her neck some to one side. "Many of whom will be overcome as we try to reach our goals."
