Current "Doing your best" does not mean working yourself to the point of a mental breakdown. Its no longer your best at that point.

The word homeowner has the word "meow" in it. Good luck pronouncing it correctly ever again. You're welcome ^.^

When everything seems wrong...something goes right, and it changes darkness into light, and makes the shadows a little less daunting.

People cry, not because they are weak. It's because they've been strong for too long

the bad thing about being bullied is that every time it happens it steals a little piece of who you are if it happens enough little by little you become a little less of who you were meant to be.

With a rustle of papers, some spilling off the tiny desk, the woman hastily trying to catch them, she let out a frustrated sound. “Five minutes, five minutes I let them in, and they’ve fucking destroyed the place! Five minutes!” She cursed, flicking the pages, hastily trying to shove them where they belonged, sighing heavily. “Just can’t get good henchmen, honestly.” The tiny woman bounced from one side of the small desk to the other, her bright pink hair swaying here and there as she did so. Nails painted in a myriad of colours, the dark, small and somewhat cluttered office a contrast to her.

“Honestly, they’d lose their heads if I wasn’t there to tell them what to do.” Shaking her head, she settled back in her desk chair. The Magnolia festival was in full swing, and right about now, she was certain that ungodly Phoenix Wing was displaying their show of power- if they really had to flaunt it, it showed how little they actually had. Flash and bang, that was all. And their allies, bah. They weren’t much better, if any! Glorified magicians, nothing more.

As the communication Lacrama glowed softly nearby, she let out another frustrated sound, running a hand through her increasingly messy locks. “For fuck sak- What do you want, Frankie? I can’t hold your hand every step of the way.” she said as a white haired man with a rather… blockish appearance came on the lacrima screen. He often had a distance look in his eyes, as if there wasn’t a thought behind those dull, grey eyes of his. Which there often wasn’t, if she was being truly honest.

“Amara, you told me ta give ya a heads up when it looked like things were coming ta a close with that there, uh, battle royal thing.” Shit, she had. She sighed heavily, “right, Frankie. Right. Thanks.” Without another word, she disconnected the call, shoving the lacrima into her bag as she hurriedly dashed out, teleportation lacrima in hand. Fucking things were worth more than a months ability to stea-earn. But in this case, it was worth the cost. The alliance had to get started on a good high, or Frankie, Jeckyel and the other leaders would think she wasn’t good at this.

The alliance had to succeed- and she had to work with the other leaders, the other “dark” guilds, so she could keep her plans in motion. Demon summoning, targeting key events, or towns…. She had so much she had to do, and if she had to rely on bumpkins to do it, so be it. One way or another… she’d get what she wanted. She always did. Reaching down to a ring secured onto her belt, she took a golden, stamped with the crest of the maiden. Almost at once, she felt better. “Open the Gate of the Maiden Virgo!” a woman taller than she appeared, wearing a maid uniform that had seen better days, the chains on her wrists heavy, damaged and there appeared to be a small hole in her uniform, blood staining it, where her heart would be.

The weary, somewhat broken spirit, looked to Amara, and gave a soft sigh. “Yes, mistress?” The spirit’s, well… spirit, had been broken long before Amara had found her, in the celestial world, with the other spirits. She’d only been able to free Virgo- well, she supposed it wasn’t really freeing when she merely stole the key, and taken it forcibly from the spirit world. Still, the spirit was worth something at least.

She could still use magic. And right then, that was all Amara needed her for. “To the surface, Virgo. And you know the rest.”

As the crowd was hyped from the spectacular battle, the ground shook heavily, the canals water crashing onto their banks, buildings swaying drastically as just outside town a massive being appeared from a great opening in the earth, sending cracks spiraling through the nearby land. The monstrous form seemed to take substance from the very earth itself, forming into a creature made of rocks, dirt, stone, and various plant life that seemed to be reeking death and despair. It turned towards the city of Magnolia with barely a thought, coerced to do so by forces unknown.

Almost simultaneous, another two formed, summoned into existence near Dragon Fang and (other guild name). All seemed bent on destruction, not caring what ever was in its way. The monstrous beings seemed to move almost in sync, despite the distance between them, as if they were connected in some way or form.

Gabriel

Gabriel sighed heavily, leaning back into the softness of the bed, and closing his eyes. And yet he couldn’t seem to relax, despite his weariness. He couldn’t help the sense of urgency he felt, as if he needed to get back out there… it had been so long, could he still fulfill his word? Every day that passed, it felt like that was getting further and further from possible.

“What you’re feeling is dread.” Leo said softly, once more having opened his own gate- Gabriel doubt he could force the spirit to stay away. He didn’t see the point. “We may be too late for one of the 12. Someone has opened a gate close by.” It seemed almost as soon as he said that that the earth began to shake, the books on the shelf crashing to the ground, and Michael’s orange cat went shooting under the bed.

Gabriel struggled to his feet, immediately getting to the window. “What the fuck is that?” as Leo joined him at the window. “That, Gabe, is a demon.” It wasn’t a Celestial Spirit, but Gabriel’s eyes roamed as if searching for one. If Leo said there was a gate open… there was a gate open. Sighing, but not necessarily annoyed, Gabriel grabbed the sword nearby, strapping it back on. He had a feeling he might need them, and the keys he double checked were still secure. His fingers lingered over them, accepting the comfort they gave him.

“Lets go.”

Sasha’s gaze went from the battle arena, from her sister and the others, to the form filling the sky. Hope burrowed into her side, and Sasha tried to shield her gaze from the scene unfolding. Almost at once there was the comforting presence of Master Jamie nearby, leaning down to hand a lacramia to Hope. Sasha encouraged her daughter to take the glass object. “It will take you home.” She said softly to her, hugging her tightly to her side, never wanting to let go, but knowing she had to. “I’ll be home. I promise.” She shifting, keeping her body in front of Hope’s- and she had to have hope that her daughter didn’t truly see the monstrosity. A demon, she was entirely sure, it wouldn’t be the first one she’d faced. And she doubted it was going to be the last. “Into the depths again, huh? Never ends.”But Sasha nevertheless started to cleave a path through the crowd,

She couldn’t fly, but she could damn well make a path through the thousands of screaming watchers. She could hear Master Jamie’s voice echoing above the noise of the crowd. “Calm, and be steady! Make your way out of the stands in a timely manner, do not run! We don’t need people trampled to death! That’s it, keep going!”

When Sasha could, when she had the room to do so, she unleashed her Ice Queen Armour, and began to run, foot prints leaving small planes of ice to hurriedly melt in a few seconds. Sasha didn’t particularly notice them, intent on reaching the enemy.

“Ice Maiden: Daggerfall” Dagger shaped shards of ice began to belt towards the demon, wanting nothing more than to turn the demon’s attention to her, rather than the crowd.

Jamie watched with satisfaction as her mages began to fight, showing off their skill, and just how far they had come- while she knew the other guilds had their own powerful mages, these four had really embodied the heart of S class mages, in their own way. And even if they hadn't been home as often as she'd like, she couldn't deny the pride she felt watching them. Her children, although she was more than certain all her members would blanch at that. Well, they'd live with it. She had watched them, helped them, trained and shared blood and tears with all of them, in one way or another. They were her children.

"Slayers, Phoenix and Ash God. I find it amusing that they both found there way to Phoenix Wing, but perhaps it was fate. And Rose, is a darkness mage, not certain she's the only one in the world, but she's the most skilled I've come across at using shadows. And Damien... the blade of Phoenix wing. His skill with his blades is, and I do not say this lightly, near my own. And perhaps even nearly surpassing me" Jamie took comfort in the fact that when she and Jarvis were gone, the guild would be in good hands. "There are many slayers returning to the world, and it makes me wonder just why those powers are returning"

Leaning low over the neck of the beautiful, graceful and just generally stunning Pegasus, Imogen couldn't help the bubble of luaghter that leapt out her throat as Aethusa glided effortlessly through the air, her muscles and movement of her body giving Imogen that means to stay on the magificant beasts back. She gripped gently with her knees, and completely trusted Aethusa to keep her safe, and to catch her if she fell as she lifted her hands and gave a small whoop of excitement, and could practically feel Aethusa's own excitement before something else caught her attention, the cry of a war horn, shouts that she couldn't quite make out coming to her attention.

Her gaze was drawn to the ground below her, and she stared as the herd of animals raced across the grounds, more than a little confused. What the fuck had happened? Shifted, she guided Aethusa around, circling lower, the panicked cries of a girl reaching her ears over the stampeading creatures. Gathering her will, Imogen sought a way to stop them, or at least stop them enough to help whoever was trapped, as Caitlyn tried to gain one of the creatures attention.

The situation could easilyu go from worse to them all being at the gates of the underworld real quick. Drawing in a breath, Imogen didn't even need to tell Aethusa what to do, the Pegasus aiming towards the ground, seeking to scatter the herd of creatures. Who had cried for help? imogen gripped tightly to Aethusa, searching. Her gaze soon found Adeline, and without hesitation, Imogen leaped off Aethusa's back, the Pegasus snorting as she did so. "Just a few moments, Aethusa." Imogen hoped it was so, as she dashed to the bench.

"Adeline! Are you hurt? Quick, lets get back to Aethusa, I'll get you to safety." Imogen didn't much like the prospects of facing the herd of creatures, but she'd fight them if she had to. Almost as she had that thought, a voice rang out- fear, but what she could also detect as curiosity in their voice- "Don't harm them! They're Yale, endangered and protected by Artemis!" Well, that was just fucking great. Imogen turned back towards Adeline, ready to help her.

Pierre sipped at his hot chocolate, the to-go tumbler a welcome weight in his hands as he waited for Prince to finish exploring everything around them, the small dog prancing about excitedly. If Pierre started to walk to the mess hall, he was sure the forever puppy would follow, the prospect of food too much of a lure for him. For now, however, Pierre was content to wait for Prince to exhaust his curiosity. Taking another sip of hot chocolate, Pierre enjoyed the relative peace around them, the safety of the camp allowing him to relax, although a part of him was always thinking about Adeline. He trusted her, knew she was stronger than she appeared, but... it was an old brothers job to worry and protect.

As the war horn sounded, the war cry echoing through the camp, Pierre stood for a moment, unable to think just what could have got through the camps defense, before he cursed lightly, "Cabin, Prince!" he ordered the dog, who looked forlorn to have his walk cut short, but obeyed. Pierre took the few seconds required to grab his staff, starting towards the fading sounds of the war cry. Had the defenses fallen? Or had something been able to breach, something that the wards hadn't been dsigned to stop? The Gods themselves? But a stampede? The thoughts echoed through Pierre's mind as he ran.

He didn't have to wonder long, soon coming to the scene that was unfolding much like a battle field fight in a movie. His gaze went from creature to creature, something tugging at his mind as he studied them. He'd seen images of them... heard descriptions... taking a few seconds to study them, Pierre willed the information to come forth. fierce antelope-like creature... large horns... the creatures looked like a cross between a cow and an antelope, and Pierre shifted, gaze moving towards others starting to come in.

This could end very very badly. "Don't harm them! They're Yale, endangered and protected by Artemis!" He tried to make his voice as loud as possible, knowing that the Yale- for he was certain thats what they were- were attracted to loud noises. If they came after him, well, it would give time for others to rally. He tried to think how the creatures could be stopped safely, but nothing was coming to mind. Strong, determined, fierce creatures, Pierre did not know anything that could stop them.

Esmeralda stared up at her ceiling, the various images, posters and drawings on the ceiling a welcome distraction as she tried to will herself back to sleep. It was much too early to be up... she'd only been asleep a few hours, the book she'd been writing in having slipped to the ground, opening still. Gods knew where her pen had gone... Sighing as that thought lead to what she'd been doing, she admitted defeat, reaching over to check the time.

Barely morning, at least by her standards. Sighing, Esmeralda rolled out of bed, running a hand through her long, black hair- perhaps the only thing she absolutely loved about herself in more than just a beauty standard. Absently glancing at her posters once more, Esmeralda allowed herself a moment of indulgence, enjoying the figures of some of her favourite actors, before he gaze moved over the other posters she had. Some might consider it a bit strange for her to have video game, movies, and other such inspired memerolbellia, but it felt right to her.

Who said you couldn't be beautiful and a geek? Oddly enough, that fact seemed to attract many such men to her- although this was one thing she did because she enjoyed it. Smirking slightly as her gaze inevitably moved to one of the many mirrors around her room. She really was a fine specimen, and she supposed she had her mother to thank for that- although she'd never let that be known to her vain, selfish and otherwise entitled Goddess of a mother. And her father to thank for her curious mind, knowing she herself had been a wilful, vain and somewhat child to handle.

Still, who could blame her for that? Chuckling softly, she paused a moment in her thoughts, wondering just what to wear. Her siblings could prim and preen all they liked, but Emseralda would draw eyes to her, not just for her beauty, but for her absolute badass of an attitude. She hoped it was such... As she hurriedly dressed, she was nearly out the door of her bedroom before she remembered her note book. Picking it up, Emseralda placed it back in its spot, pausing another moment to check on Nieve, the hare blearly looking up at her as if she had woken her.

Amused, Emseralda started out again, making her way towards the Mess Hall, pondering what just to have. As she walked, she reached up and tied her hair with a black ribbon she'd found in her pockets- not entirely sure what it had made its way in there.

Ana smiled as Eretria seemed to jump on board the cheer train- no pun intended, of course- and seemed to be relaxing a bit, although Ana was still certain that she was anxious. They'd done everything they could, and if a mistake happened, well, no one would know unless they'd been partial to their training. She didn't think that that was something that would put Eretria's fears at bay, so Ana would just have to do her best to ensure there was no mistake. Or turn it around as something good. Drawing in a breath, Ana let it out slowly, nodding at Eretria's words, turning to the booth, letting her thoughts drift for a moment or two. Around in the endless circle of trying to figure everything out, again and again.

It was as her thoughts were distracted that Ana's body reacted instinctively to the sound of footsteps approaching them, tensing. Relieved when she heard Nora's voice, and Eretria responding, it nevertheless took her a few seconds to relax, but she managed to give Nora a smile. She ought to be use to such things, but there were many things that put her ill at ease. Something she needed to work on, if she was going to become a cop. Well, they all had their faults, and Ana at least knew what she had to work on. "Saw Ignatius earlier, hopefully he's on his way to find us too." She said, to Nora's question, glancing at her phone once more. "I swear, we need to get a tracker on that boy." But at least she got confirmation that Theodore had come through, giving the flakey Igantius his uniform.

Deciding she couldn't do much more for the moment, she turned her attention back to Eretria and Nora, "Well, one of us could run off for food, we have a bit of time... " She glanced around them, thoughtful on what they could get. The atmosphere of the event was one of excitement, joy, what she was sure could only be descripted as testosterone filled showing off, and more. And the scents of food, and the holy exilcer of life, coffee, floated through the air towards her and she nearly lost all her self control.

"I'm here, I'm here, I'm here!" The breathless voice of said flake reached her ears, and she cursed lightly as she spun out the way as Ignatius, as subtle as a bull in a china shop, skidded to a stop just about where she had been. She took one look at him and sighed, somewhat relieved to see him in uniform, but a little exasperated at his foolishness. The boy rubbed at the back of his neck sheepishly, "Sorry"

Ignatius skidded to a halt in front of the boys changing room, drawing in a few deep breaths as he slowly let his racing heart soothe itself, slowing to a regular beat again as he sought to get his mind, racing just as much as his heart, under control. Which was probably a losing battle as he muttered a curse before dashing to one of the lockers, shoving his things in, hurriedly changing his clothes. How had he forgotten his uniform? He could almost hear his mother go ”I told you so! Always forgetting something!”..

He had the forethought to glance at one of the mirrors, making sure that his uniform was okay- he could almost picture the disappointed looks if he wasn’t at least presentable. There was something else he had to do… he paused a minute, still for a few rare moments as he tried to remember, but his brain didn’t let him focus on that too long, finding it a losing battle as he turned back to his chosen locker. “Alright… uniform… What else? I swear I’m missing something… “ He paused another moment, before sighing.

It was no use. Besides, he was sure if there was anything important, Annie or Tria would have messaged him about i- “SHIT” Grabbing his phone, Ignatius hurriedly swiped through it, finding the group message with the video Anastasia had sent them all. He had totally meant to watch it, to make sure he had everything down pat, but it had, like so much else, slipped his mind. He didn’t have much time, could he watch it? Cursing again, Ignatius hurriedly made sure his things were away before dashing out the lockers, going in search of the team.

Anastasia chuckled, and put her phone away again, making sure it was secured- wouldn't do for it to fall out and cause a scene in any cricual moment. That would just be embarrassingly. "Sometime's I don't even think he knows whar he's going ot do next, the kid needs to just have a permenant to do list on his arm or something. Perhaps tattooed. " She said with amusement, and a hint of exasperation. At least, however, it seemed that things weren't going to be too much of an issue. There was no S.O.S about the unform, at the least.

As Tria grabbed her hand, she let the other girl tug her along, and quickly went through her own mental check list. At times like this, when she was trying to be prepared for everything, Anastasia could understand that she was more than a little bit of a perfectionist. Did it matter? At times, she thought so. She recognised, however, that that was just how she was, and she couldn't change that. Letting Tria led her on, she nodded. "Hopefuly they're ready.... first cheer back, should be a good one." It would be, they were a good team.

She had done all she could to make sure they would all be ready, to make things easier for Tria. While Ana didn't want to be a leader in this, she wanted to make sure her friend had as much support and help as Ana could give her. She didn't want to lose someone she trusted, admired, and considered family because of something she didn't do, or didn't do well enough. "Our last year... We better start of with a bang" That thought nearly brought on a wave of anxiety that she just barely controlled. Everything would change, they'd be going off to college... starting different lives.... "And go down in history as Delbrooks greatest cheerleading team"
