Hello! This is Buzzingbee! I used to be on here as BuzzBee but I had some trouble. I had issues in real life that made me go off for a while and then when I was going to come back on, passwords, emails, etc were forgotten and lost. xD But I'm back and ready to jump into where I left off!

Penelope blinked as she felt him grab her hand and pull her back towards him. She met his gaze for a moment and frowned a little. “I know it is.” She said, a hint of frustration seeping into her voice. Though it was directed towards herself rather than Crow. She closed her eyes for a brief moment and leaned lightly into his hand, finding some sense of security in his touch.

The knight paused. Part of her still wanted to try and act like nothing was wrong but that would require lying to Crow. The mere idea of doing that felt rather wrong, especially after he had opened up so much to her. She just didn’t like feeling so cowardly and weak. Being a knight, she was used to feeling the opposite of that.

Penelope averted her gaze and placed her hand over his. “Thunder and lightening..scare me.” She admitted with clear reluctance. “I don’t remember much from living in the outer villages but.. the one memory that I can recall is of sometime when I was completely alone in the house. I think I was around 4 or 5 at the time and I don’t remember where my brother and father had gone off to or why they left me there in the first place. I just remember hiding under the bed while the house seemed to shake because of this terrible storm. The thunder was loud and the wind was so strong that I thought the house was going to start breaking.”

The knight shook her head as she recalled the memory. With the way the weather was currently, it seemed to resurface easily. She already felt that past feeling of panic and fear mixing with what she currently felt for the storm going on outside. Her heart beat began to quicken again so she tried focusing on Crow again. She looked back up to him and gave a troubled frown. "It’s stupid... It’s something children should be of afraid not a knight...” She mumbled with some shame. “I don’t even think anything happened to me or the house.. Though I don’t really remember.”
Perfect! Now Crow gets to learn about Penelope’s fears cx

Ahhh dang. I’m not sure how it would effect here. In my town, there aren’t that many small businesses but I know a lot of other places where there are so it’ll probably hurt the most there.

Ooo nice! I think I kinda remember you mentioning the interior design before too cx
That’d be cool! Honestly I thought about trying to become an author in the far past but decided it wasn’t quite for me xD Scriptwriting just works better for me.
Penelope followed him over to the edge of the forest, hanging back slightly as he surveyed the area. She waited for him to finish when she felt a couple drops of water land on her head. She felt her stomach drop at the realization that a storm was brewing overhead. “Let’s go.” She agreed quickly as he took the lead. The knight hurried after him into the stables. The bad weather was quick to pick up and within no time, raindrops were falling heavily from the sky above.

Once inside, Penelope closed the door behind them. “I hate this weather...” She mumbled quietly before turning her head to look around the stable. It was relatively small and simple, that much she could tell despite the lack of light. Two horses were in their stalls, quietly munching on left over hay. Despite her simple glance around the room, she held a rather stressed expression on her face.

Just then a flash of lightening lit up the outside and a loud clap of thunder followed. The knight visibly jumped and stiffened at both the flash of light that poured in from small cracks and the sound that rang in her ears. Her face paled slightly and she turned to look back at the door. I’m fine.. I’m fine... I’m inside... She reminded herself, finding a bit of comfort in the shelter of the stable. She was suddenly very thankful that they had chosen to find shelter rather than stay out in the forest.

She took in a deep breath, trying to calm her irrational fears. She looked over at Crow and then quickly averted her gaze, feeling a bit embarrassed. She flinched as she heard another rumble of thunder from above them. “Guess we should try to get some sleep.” She said beginning to move towards the pile of hay that was stacked nearby them.
Makes sense. Sucks that’s how it works out. Especially for the small business owners.

To be fair, I probably told you that like 3 years ago xD
Scriptwriter or Editor is what I’m aiming for :D
Penelope looked over at him as he slowed his pace. “That could work.” She agreed as he suggested finding a stable to stay in. She nodded as she thought over the idea. “It’s better than dealing with knights or another mercenary.” She blinked as she noticed Crow had suddenly stopped. The knight looked a little confused until she followed his gaze to the tall building in the distance. Almost instantly she was able to make out what it was and she felt her heart begin to race anxiously.

It’s still far though.. She thought, trying to calm herself. Though the castle was still far, the mere sight of it in the distance was enough to make the knight’s fears and worries resurface. She was pulled from her panicked thoughts as she felt Crow take her hand in his. She looked over at him, being pulled out of her thoughts, and nodded her head. “Yeah.. It won’t be much longer now..” She agreed in a quiet voice. She gave his hand a small squeeze.

She quickly averted her gaze to look back in the direction of the town, which she could still make out despite the surrounding forest. “Come on. Let’s see if we can find a stable.” She said beginning to head a little closer to the town now, eager to change the subject and focus on something else. She began to scan the town for signs of a stable.

Penelope was hoping they could find one relatively close to the tree line so they wouldn’t need to venture too far out into the town. She spotted a large home that seemed a bit promising as she noticed a smaller building off to the side of it. “How about there?” She said pointing it out to Crow.
Ahh that sucks Dx

And I’m a film major so I’m hoping to get started on my career up there c:
Penelope nodded her head to his words, glad to hear they might have enough of the stuff to use on multiple weapons. She started to walk onwards, lapsing into a brief silence as she eyed their surroundings. With everything that had been happening to them as of late, she was trying to be extra cautious. From the Younisian knights to the mercenary, she was trying to make sure they were traveling safely now. The knight was hoping they could keep out of trouble as they neared the castle.

She noted that the forest was rather thin compared to the ones she was used to traveling through in Brerra. It made the area feel a bit more open and the lack of coverage certainly didn’t help her feel secure. Penelope looked back ahead as they walked, wondering if the forest was naturally thin or if the large towns of Younis had made it this way.

She snapped out of her thoughts as Crow broke the silence. Penelope gave an uncertain look as he brought up concerns about where they would spend the night. “Yeah and I doubt we could figure out a way to hide it.” She said with a sigh as she looked up at the bow. The knight pursed her lips together as she tried to come up with a solution. She had no plans to spend the night in the open woods but it nearly seemed just as risky to try to find an inn while Crow carried the bow around.

“Maybe there’s a way you can sneak the bow in?” She suggested with a shrug. “We’d have to wait for it to be late so the streets are more empty though and I’m not sure how leaving in the morning would go.."
They’re trying to make it $15 but that’s over the course of a few years cx
And certainly not soon enough
Yeah it’s pretty expensive here. lol
my friend and I are looking to move to LA at some point but finding an affordable place is pretty difficult
Penelope nodded, recalling Evelyn from the tavern. She listened as Crow explained that her daughter had been a herbalist and that he had learned about plants from her. The knight tried not to pay much attention to how he trailed off and turned red before finishing his sentence. She looked down at the flower as he went on to press it into the inside of her forearm. It wasn’t long before she began to feel the spot tingle with numbness.

“I can’t. That’s weird.” She mumbled, a bit surprised a simple flower could have such an impact. Normally, she thought that healers had to mash them together with other various herbs and plants to bring out such factors. Her gaze flickered back up to him as he admitted that using it as a pain reliever wasn’t why he had picked it up. She raised her eyebrow at him curiously.

“I think we should use whatever we got so I say go for it.” Penelope said with a nod of approval. She moved on to put the arrows she had collected back into the quiver and moved to pick up the two bags once more so they could get moving again. The knight paused, thinking something over before adding. “Do you think you could use some on my dagger when the time comes? I’m planning to try and steal a sword from someone once I get inside.. It shouldn’t be too difficult so long as they don’t expect it but it’d be nice to have a back up plan if the element of surprise doesn’t work.”

The thought of having something to fall back on was rather comforting to the knight, who was still trying to figure out what lied ahead for them. Crow having knowledge about such a thing and figuring out a way to use it to their advantage certainly helped her feel a little better. Though she was doing her best to push away her worries and remain positive about their upcoming palace raid, she’d be lying to say she had been able to completely ignore all of them.
I’m just making like a little over the minimum.
I think ours is like $11.00 but there’s plans for it to go up in the coming years if I remember correctly.
