Hello! This is Buzzingbee! I used to be on here as BuzzBee but I had some trouble. I had issues in real life that made me go off for a while and then when I was going to come back on, passwords, emails, etc were forgotten and lost. xD But I'm back and ready to jump into where I left off!

Penelope enjoyed a quick breakfast with Olivia, the two talking quietly as she told Olivia what had happened between her and Gavin. Olivia had never been very fond of her suitor so she didn't seem to share much sympathy for him. However, Penelope noticed her hold back a couple snarky remarks so she hoped that meant the other female knight wouldn't get too involved with their split. The last thing Gavin needed was Olivia's tendency to meddle or tease.

After they finished eating, Penelope parted ways with Olivia and headed to the large tent at the center of camp to meet with the barons and other lieutenants. As she stepped inside, she glanced around to notice she was the last to arrive, but luckily she didn't seem to be late as no one commented on her timing. She stepped over to an empty chair besides her brother and sat down, listening as the group seemed to already be in a heated discussion. Layth sat rigidly with his gaze locked on the barons.

"With the new supplies coming in, there is more of a need to stop those damn thieves than ever before. We've lost too much to them already. I say we increase patrols now. Catch them before they even get a whiff of the supplies." Layth insisted.

Too late for that.. Penelope thought with a hint of amusement as she listened her brother try to call for focus on the thieves again. Ever since seeing Crow, capturing him and then losing him, the male knight seemed solely focused on trying to pin down the thieves. It made her wonder if he was even aware that the war was still going on. Perhaps it was also due to how many seasons he had spent out in Wellspring with their father that had caused him to go chasing after thieves. That and he's still trying to live down losing to Crow in that battle.. She thought. Though not many knew about it, she was sure that his pride was still hurting from having to be saved by her.

"While I understand your concern Layth, I don't think running around chasing thieves is wise." Tomas responded first with a small frown. "We're supposed to be preparing for our next battle. It wouldn't be good for us to waste our time like that. Our troops should be focused on learning battle plans and working to make sure we're able to take back Grimsby."

"We won't be in any shape to take back anything if our supplies keep getting stolen." Layth growled.

"Layth is right." Edward agreed crossing his arms over his chest. "It would give the Younisians a terrible advantage if we continue to lose supplies. The thieves must be dealt with. I say we strengthen our patrols immediately."

"We'll send them to every nearby village, search every inch of the forest, and track them down." Layth rallied.

Penelope watched uneasily. She looked across the room towards Mia. The baroness looked uninterested, even a bit annoyed with the two. A sigh escaped her lips and she sat up a bit taller in her chair, making Penelope feel a little relieved as she caught on that she did not approve of their plans. If anyone could intervene and change the current course of ideas, it was Mia.

"Lovely. Let's send out all our troops to waste time scouring the forest for a couple of petty criminals." Mia mused sarcastically. Her eyes narrowed coldly at Layth. "Have you any common sense, boy?"

"Excuse me?" Layth curled his lip up at the baroness.

"Our patrols will remain minimal. The thieves are nothing more than simple pests.. Our focus must be on the real threat, the Younisian troops." Mia stated, glancing from Edward to Bennet. "Chasing around criminals will weaken us and leave us far too open to attack. I understand your frustrations but we have far bigger problems."

"So do you suggest we just keep letting them steal from us?" Edward said accusingly.

"We should figure out some way to deal with them. Surely even you can agree with that right, Mia?" Bennet piped up now.

Mia pursed her lips together and leaned back in her seat for a moment. "We'll send out a couple knights to make sure that the supplies are well guarded. If they dare to try and steal from us again, they'll find themselves with an unfortunate surprise." She responded. "Is that enough to satisfy you two?"

Bennet nodded his head. Edward hesitated, clenching his jaw as he looked over at Mia. "For now." He responded gruffly.

Penelope didn't bother to get involved but was pleased with the outcome. Even though she knew Crow would be traveling to Younis, she hoped that this would at least keep them from finding the other thieves or running into Crow on either his way to or from the other kingdom. With a small group focused on protecting the supplies, patrols would continue to be only a few, likely just the ones lead by Layth. The female lieutenant relaxed slightly as the barons came to an agreement and began to move on to the topic of preparation for when the supplies arrived.
Sounds good.
I am too! I think she could have a really cool character arc too where she goes from this prissy, out of her element noblewoman to either a powerful noblewoman with the intent of helping the peasants or another sort of protector of the outer villages. It depends on how it goes and if she will eventually decide to return to noble life or not but either way, I think she'll prove interesting cx

Sorry that one took me longer than I thought it would cx
Penelope and Olivia are having a good gal pal moment lol
Penelope peaked her eyes open as it grew light out. Morning had come much too soon for the knight who had been out most of the night so she was rather reluctant to get up. She groaned, knowing it was probably best for her to wake up now rather than sleep in order to avoid drawing any attention to herself. Slowly, she got up and headed out of her tent to start another day. The memory of the night before danced in her head, almost immediately perking the drowsy knight up. It was strange to think that after two years, she was with Crow again. With everything that had happened, she had been so certain that she'd never be able to be with him again. Though they still had quite a bit to deal with, she was merely happy that she hadn't lost him.

Her brief moment of joy quickly faltered as Gavin crossed her path. The male knight was heading in the opposite direction as her and the two both paused as they looked over at each other. Gavin frowned a little and then averted his gaze before continuing silently on his way. Penelope let out a small sigh and shifted her gaze away from him as she quietly walked onward. Gavin had been someone she had grown rather fond of over their last year together. The distance between them now was a bit unsettling and she couldn't help but wish for them to still be friends despite her decision.

I won't even see him or any of the others after the war anyways. I have to get used to letting people go. She reminded herself as she focused her gaze back ahead. She spotted Olivia up ahead and headed over to the other female knight, eager to spend some time with a more friendly face.

"Morning." Olivia greeted as Penelope reached her. She looked her over and then smirked a little.

Penelope narrowed her gaze at Olivia. "What's that look for?" She questioned.

"Oh nothing.." Olivia mused airly as she began to look around elsewhere. "It just seems to me you didn't straighten up your hair as well as usually do... I can't imagine what might have you that distracted."

Penelope blushed and quickly moved a hand to further smooth down her hair, which had admittedly been a little less well kempt than usual. She supposed in her drowsiness she hadn't paid as much attention to her appearance as she usually did in the mornings. "I guess I was just tired this morning."

"Oh?" Olivia questioned with a snicker. "Tired from what exactly? If I remember correctly, I don't think you had any guard shifts the night before... I wonder what else it might have been.."

Rolling her eyes, Penelope gave Olivia a small shove. "Shut up." She grumbled.

"I'm assuming I'm finally right, aren't I?" Olivia laughed. Her eyes gleamed mischievously. "So how was he? Was he any good or was it disappointing? You've gotten in the way of me ever finding out so the least you can do is give me some details."

"We're not talking about this." Penelope groaned pinching the bridge of her nose, partially to hide the redness of her cheeks at Olivia's chosen topic of discussion. "I don't go asking you about details, can't you give me the same courtesy?"

"You say that like I'm holding out information from you. Well if you're curious," Olivia snickered crossing her arms. "that Alistair is quite something, you know a few nights ago we tried this thing wher-"

"That's not what I meant." Penelope said, quickly cutting her friend off. She looked at Olivia and shook her head. "You're a pain in the ass."

"Excuse me for simply trying to find out what's going on in my good friend's life." Olivia said with mock offense. She grinned. "Alright fine, fine, I won't bother you for those details. Come on, let's go get something to eat and you can start explaining what went down between you and Gavin the other day."

Penelope hesitated before giving a small nod and moving to walk with Olivia to grab food. "Fine. But I do expect to hear a couple details about what's been going on between you and Alistair. Preferably not overly descriptive ones mind you." She told her as they walked. She enjoyed the other knight's friendship. It was strange to think that she had once viewed Olivia as less than pleasant company. Though the female knight did still annoy her at times, she was her closest friend and someone she trusted rather greatly. It would be hard to eventually say goodbye after working with her so much over the last two years.
Cool cx

Honestly it's great xD

Penelope won't be too happy about it either lol
That sounds good! I was a bit iffy on how to go about bringing her in anyways so I'm good with waiting a while to see if something else works better to bring her into play.

Dang that sucks and no worries c:
Nice!
I definitely think we could figure out how to use most of those cx I'll leave the first two up to you since they just mainly affect Crow of course.
Maybe we could combine 5 with either 3 or 4. I could see the Younisians starting a battle after losing their supplies, possibly in an effort to keep their current upper hand, and that's where Crow could pass out again.
I also got a small idea from combining 5 and 4 cx So with tensions rising again, the patrols to track down the thieves could increase once more, stirred of course by Layth's insistence. A couple patrols could venture in the right direction of where the thieves are and Penelope would of course get involved to try to help. Crow could be trying to escape from one of the patrols and she happens to be close by. His illness could come into play and she'd help steer the patrol in the wrong direction before doubling back to him to figure out what was wrong and then help him back to camp.
I figure she could either trekk out alone in an attempt to warn the group or possibly go on her on 'patrol' with either Olivia or Gavin (as I imagine after a couple days away from her he starts trying to win her back and his attempts will mainly just involve him trying to prove himself as the better option for her)

I did have an idea of tying in Lucy but I'm a little iffy about it cx
She would have stowed away on one of the supply carts in a crazy attempt to get away from her suitor and get to the battlefront to prove herself. It definitely goes south once the thieves move into attack and steal from the cart but she manages to slip away since she's actually quite skilled at sneaking around. After that she'd realize she doesn't want to fight or go to the battlefront but she also doesn't want to go home so she basically ends up stranded in the outer villages trying to figure out her next move.

I imagine she somehow makes it to Myrefall, largely by dumb luck and a lot of wandering in a random direction until she finally reached a town. She'd be struggling to survive, since she's lived a rather sheltered life, and eventually come across Penelope when she's going to meet with Crow and pretty much beg her for help while still refusing to go home. Penelope would eventually cave but since she can't just send her away or take her back to camp, she'd have to turn to Crow to help find a place for Lucy. They'd pretty much be forced into a bit of a babysitting job for a little cx Especially Penelope since I imagine she'd try to check on her often.

Penelope tied the fastening of her dress again and smoothed out her clothing as she readied to leave. She threw her cloak over her shoulders and turned to face Crow as he answered her. She thought over his words before nodding her head. "Four days works" She told him. She'd have to make sure that she wasn't scheduled for guard duty that night, though, even if she was, she knew she could likely find a way out of it. The knights usually didn't have plans for late unless supplies were coming in or they were either returning from or preparing for a battle. Since both of those were likely a while a way, she was certain she'd be able to make it out without much trouble.

She gave him a small smile and stepped over to wrap her arms around him, kissing him on the cheek one more time. "I'll see you then." She told him, lingering close to him for a moment longer before finally letting him go and stepping over to the door to leave. Penelope pushed it open and glanced over her shoulder at him. "Be safe." She advised him with an affectionate look. The knight turned and headed out the door, reluctantly parting ways with him.

Though she had wished they had more time together, Penelope still felt warm with joy of being with him again. They had quite a few troubles to face but that had never stopped them before so she remained confident they'd eventually figure out a way to still more time together than just their basic meetings. At the very least, they at least had the privacy that his home offered now. She thought over ways to get out of camp more frequently and for longer. It'd be difficult due to her higher position. Once morning came, she usually took time to speak with Mia and the barons or even just Tomas at the very least. Sneaking out would only get her so far, she'd likely have to come up with a few excuses if she truly wanted to buy time away.

The knight shrugged to herself and focused her gaze back ahead as she neared her camp. Eying the guards and their usual positions, she was careful to sneak around them without drawing attention to herself, something that was becoming rather easy to do as she did it more and more often. She slipped into her tent and stretched, feeling a bit tired. Slipping out of her peasant clothing and back into her regular shirt and pants, she headed to bed, falling asleep rather quickly as weariness took over.
I can imagine cx

No worries! I had to leave pretty much right after I posted anyways cx

Also do you have any ideas/plans for in between or after their next meeting??
I figure it'll still be a while before have John come in and turn everything upside down lol
Penelope gave a small nod of agreement at his words. She had always longed for the end of the war, wishing it had never even started, and being with him again only increased it as she thought of life after. However, it did leave a small feeling of unease in her as the situation felt rather similar to the journey before. There was still something standing in the way of them being together and the knight couldn't help but wish they could just leave it all behind. She knew that was impossible though. They both cared about too many people to do such a thing.

She looked over at him as he tried to come up with a solution and admitted that he also wanted to see her more than just during their usual meetings. The knight raised an eyebrow as he mentioned traveling to Younis but didn't question why. Instead she focused back on the matter at hand and gave a small shrug. She blushed and rolled her eyes at his teasing words, a little embarrassed. Though she was more bold than before, a bit of bashfulness still remained.

The knight nodded. "Yeah, it'll work." She mused, leaning over to press a quick kiss to his lips. "At least until we can think of something better." Penelope let out a small, reluctant sigh and shifted away from him to gather her clothing from the floor. "As much as I hate to say it... we should probably get going soon. Especially since it sounds like you should be getting some sleep before you go traveling to Younis." She shot him a small smile then moved to sit on the edge of the bed as she slipped the dress back on over her head.

Straightening it out, she turned her head to look over her shoulder at him. "So when do you want to meet again?"
Poor Rikki
Honestly I can't wait to see the drama unfold when Hazel and Rikki both learn about Penelope though cx

Penelope just wants a simple life xD
Penelope looked over at him and gave a soft chuckle. "Maybe this wasn't the best place to meet again after all." She mused shaking her head as she glanced around the room. She fell quiet for a moment as her gaze fell on the door, wondering how much more time she could spare before she'd eventually have to leave. Her gaze flickered back over to Crow, realizing they still had a bit more to figure out now that they were back together.

"So.. What is the plan now?" She asked curiously. "I mean, we still have a war to get through before I can leave." She knew she still planned to meet up with him to give him the information she was able to find out thanks to her position but she couldn't help but wonder if that was the only time they'd be able to spare to be together. It'd be lying to say that she wasn't hoping they could find time in between the formal meetings. However, she wasn't sure if it was possible.

Between her being a lieutenant and him being the leader of a band on thieves now in the middle of a war, she doubted either of them would have much time to be spared and meeting too often could prove risky. The knight paused as Gavin crossed her mind again and she felt a little uneasy.

"When I ended my courtship with Gavin.. He pretty much already knew you were the reason why." She admitted to him quietly. "He wasn't happy of course but he said I could trust him.. Otherwise I might be forced to leave sooner than planned.." The male knight had assured her that she could trust him but she worried that he might become vengeful once he truly accepted that she wouldn't be returning to his side. If he decided to rat her out to the barons, it'd be difficult to find a way out of that situation, if there even was one. She could only hope that he'd keep his word.

"This can never just be easy can it?" She said with a small sigh. Penelope met his gaze and leaned up to press a kiss to his cheek. "I know we'll figure out but still."
