Hello! This is Buzzingbee! I used to be on here as BuzzBee but I had some trouble. I had issues in real life that made me go off for a while and then when I was going to come back on, passwords, emails, etc were forgotten and lost. xD But I'm back and ready to jump into where I left off!

Penelope met his gaze, hesitating to argue with him. She understood his desire to protect his friends as well as the villagers all too well, both because of how well she knew him and her own similar desires to protect her loved ones. Even though she had never fallen ill with such a life-threatening sickness, she had put herself in dangerous situations many different times to make sure her loved ones were safe so was this really that much different? The knight paused to think about it for a moment. If it was her, she doubted she would stand back so easily either. However, it still felt reckless of the thief and she wasn't going to accept it easily.

"There has to be some better way of handling this though." She muttered stubbornly. "You've been caught once, nearly twice, and there's eventually going to be another battle. Hazel might be skilled but I doubt she's a miracle worker. You probably won't be better in time for that and I don't want to imagine what will happen if you pass out in the middle of a fight." The knight shuddered and looked over at him. "I'm not saying you need to run, but you can't operate like you normally have. I.. I just don't see that working and you won't be able to protect anyone for very long."

She rubbed a hand over his back, taking a moment to think again. There wasn't an easy solution. Crow needed to find a way to hold back, otherwise they'd just have to hope that by some miracle Hazel was able to find a way to get him better before the next battle eventually came. Penelope blinked as an idea crossed her mind. "Do you think Hazel could use some help?" She asked suddenly, momentarily abandoning her thoughts of trying to get him to back down slightly from dangerous situations. A small spark of hope gleamed in her green gaze.

"There's a group of physicians amongst my camp. They're mainly there to treat battle wounds of course but I'm sure they also know some things about illnesses. They were all trained and brought in from the inner cities. I might be able to arrange a meeting or two between her and one of them.. I'm sure it won't be too difficult to convince them this illness could become a threat to the knights since Myrefall isn't far from our camp." She explained. "Even if I can't do that, they brought medical books with them.. If Hazel has an idea of what to look for, I could probably get a few to her."

Penelope looked hopefully at Crow. Both situations would prove a bit difficult. Convincing a physician to leave camp to learn about and possibly work to treat a deadly illness would take quite a bit of fibbing, especially since Penelope was rather sure that none of the knights had caught it yet. It was likely that the physicians would just wave her off as overly paranoid. Getting books wouldn't be easy either. She'd have to find a way to sneak around without anyone finding out about her stealing from them. Though, she supposed if she managed to get by without getting caught, they'd likely just blame it on the thieves. "What do you think?" She asked.
Oh dang we did cx

Penelope's processing lol
Penelope listened as he began to explain himself. The knight paled as he admitted he had caught the illness that killed his mother. Whatever she had been expecting, it certainly wasn't that. The thought of losing him made the knight's heart drop. She didn't want to accept it and reeled from the information he had told her as he went on to explain it had been the reason he had gotten caught before.

She gave his hand a small squeeze as he intertwined their fingers and tried to assure her that him and Hazel would find a cure. She prayed that Hazel was as talented as he claimed and already had some faith in the herbalist after the success of raiding the Younisian castle and relying heavily on the henbane Crow prepared. However, at his last words, she flinched slightly, reminded that even if the herbalist was talented, they might not be able to cure Crow. Penelope let out a shaky breath and let go of his hand, only so she was able to wrap her arms around him in a firm embrace. She buried her head into the crook of his neck, softly pressing into him as she held him close.

"I'm glad she's helping you.. And if you trust her to be able to beat this, then I'm sure you two will succeed." She murmured. The knight paused, frowning for a moment. "But... even if things don't work out, I'm not leaving you behind Crow." She added softly. It might have been a bit of a foolish choice, considering that meant both futures for her were gone but she couldn't bring herself to leave him after the war if he was dying. "I already made my choice of what happens after this war. Even if that time is.. more limited that I thought, I want to be with you for as long as I can."

Penelope pulled back slightly to look at him and smiled halfheartedly. "And you should know that telling me not worry isn't going to work..." She hesitated, her smile fading as another thought crossed her mind. "I mean, what would have happened if that patrol would have run into you after I left." She shook her head, frowning at the thought of him getting caught by a patrol again. "The illness might get you killed with just its symptoms, Crow.."
Dang and I just got home xD

Ok! Have fun :D

Penelope's not buying his excuses lol
Penelope shifted worriedly as she stayed besides Crow, unsure what to do. She wanted to try and find his companions, thinking they might know something about what was going on with the thief, but it was too risky to leave him alone with the knights patrolling nearby. She peaked around the boulder they were hiding behind, glancing around for any signs of movement. It seemed they had gotten away but she worried the knights might retrace their steps to the slope they were hiding at. It wouldn't take too much searching around to find them there it they did.

Luckily it wasn't long before the thief finally woke up. She felt him shift besides her and looked over at him, feeling a wave of relief wash over her. Penelope turned to him, about to question him about what had happened, but he spoke first. As he tried to sell her the lie about an injury he received in Younis, she narrowed her eyes at him, knowing fully well that wasn't the truth. However, she could figure out why he was trying to hide the truth, especially from her.

"You're lying." She said quietly. "I checked you over for injuries.. I thought that maybe one had reopened but you didn't have any. Nothing that would have caused you to collapse like that. And your legs were working just fine when we first took off so don't go trying to claim it was a sprain." A hint of sternness seeped into her voice before she let out a quiet sigh and placed her hand on his arm.

"Crow, what's going on?" She asked him, her gaze softening with concern as she met his gaze searchingly. Clearly there had to be something not right with him and she suspected he had some kind of sickness since it wasn't anything visible to the eye. Something was off and she wanted to know what. She had seen people fall ill before but they always seemed to recover after a little while, usually getting help from healers, so she didn't understand why he was trying to hide it.
Glad that works out! I have work all day tomorrow and ir's my mom's bday so i won't be on much either lol

Penelope hurrried towards the boulder and was just about to duck behind it when she felt Crow's hand slip from hers. There was a noticeable thump from behind her and she looked over to see Crow had fallen to the ground. A fresh wave of panic hit the knight as she moved to his side.

She was about to see what was wrong with the thief, worried that her guess had been correct and that he was losing blood quickly somehow. The sound of the patrol approaching made her pause and instead realize that she needed to get them out of the way of the knights before first. She hooked her arms under Crow's and dragged the thief behind the boulder. She struggled a little due to their size difference but luckily they didn't have to go far.

Once she got them both safely behind the boulder, she gently set him down and moved to crouch down besides him, listening as the patrol dreww closer. Her heart hammered anxiously in her chest. If the knights managed to find them now, they wouldn't be able to get away now that Crow was unconscious. The female knight grew tense and reached for the hilt of her sword.

Luckily the footsteps of the knights eventually faded and she was able to relax. Only momentarily though as he gaze fell on Crow passed on besides her. She frowned and began to eye him over, looking for any signs of bleeding. However, she didn't see anything, even after lifting his tunic up.

Penelope blinked. "Crow... what's going on?" She breathed with worry. It wasn't an injury, that much she was now sure of after looking him over. Is.. Is he sick? She looked down at the thief and took his hand in hers. She could treat any obvious injury but it seemed he was dealing with something she couldn't see. The knight let out a shaky breath, praying that he'd wake up soon as she was unsure what else to do.
Ok! I won't be on until around 5:30 tomorrow because of work again cx My next day off isn't until Monday lol
As he agreed, she continued on her path towards the slope she had taken cover at before. It was dense and rocky so she imagined that they'd be able to hide there without much trouble, so long as they maintained a good distance between themselves and the patrol. She figured it would be relatively easy to do since neither her nor Crow were weighed down with armor like the knights. However, as they continued on, she noticed Crow falling behind her a bit.

At his panting, she glanced over her shoulder at him. She found it strange that the thief was already seeming to slow down from their short bit of running. When they had escaped from the guards before, he hadn't gotten tired that quickly. So what was different now? Is he injured? The knight blinked in alarm as the thought crossed her mind. He seemed to be in one piece and had been healing from the wounds her brother had inflicted but perhaps he had gotten another injury during his travel to Younis. It seemed likely and it quickly filled the knight with alarm at the thought of his potential injury being reopened.

"We're almost there. It's just a little further." She tried to assure him as she glanced towards the knights. It'd be difficult to slip away from them if Crow was already slowing down. They needed to keep their lead. Or at least get out of their line of sight.. She thought. The knight smirked a little as an idea came to her mind and soon began to weave her way through the trees. Though she wasn't even close to being as skilled as Crow, Penelope was a fast learner and had picked up on a couple of tricks.

Glancing over her shoulder, a small gleam of satisfaction was present in her gaze as she noticed that the additional movement had caused for the knights to fall further behind. She casted Crow a worried glance before looking back ahead. The slope came into sight and she hurried towards it. "It's right ahead, come on." She encouraged him, already eying a boulder for them to duck behind to hide from the knights.
Oh nice xD
