Hello! This is Buzzingbee! I used to be on here as BuzzBee but I had some trouble. I had issues in real life that made me go off for a while and then when I was going to come back on, passwords, emails, etc were forgotten and lost. xD But I'm back and ready to jump into where I left off!

Honestly xD

That sounds good to me. so much drama and action I'm excited lol
Penelope's going to go into rage mode when she finds out about Jaxon manipulating Crow on top of everything else he's done xD

I also love that we actually have like a main antagonist for this part cx

EDIT: So I just randomly had an idea but I'm not sure how well it would work depending on what you're planning with Jaxon xD

So I was thinking that maybe Jaxon and his crew are camping either near the border or even slightly on the Younisian side, since that would keep them rather protected from being discovered easily by the Brerratics.

My idea is to sorta bring Hartley back into the story for a little. Here's how:

Over the two year skip, I imagine that Hartley and Kip ended up getting married, though not without some resistance from her family after they learned he was a thief. They probably ended up moving to avoid them and tried to make a living for themselves elsewhere. It's difficult though and Hartley probably has a few close run ins that make him second guess his career choice. Then the war starts up and he sees it as a chance to make a different name for himself.
I'm not sure what you had in mind but I was thinking maybe the reason the commoners of Younis are able to fight decently is because they're like a small militia on their own so when war occurs they help protect their homes and even fight alongside the knights if the battles stray close enough. I was also thinking that this gives peasant men a chance to elevate in social status if they make a name for themselves while defending their home, maybe even becoming unofficial members of the battalion if the higher ups of the battalion deem them as worthy enough.

So Hartley would run off to try and to make a name for himself, leaving Kip behind with her family despite the bad blood. He would have come into the war a little late and hesitantly since I imagine he'd probably have to take some time before hand to improve his fighting skills. As the war rages on, he continues to defend alongside the other peasant men and tries to show off a bit but fails to get much recognition. He's starting to get a bit desperate when he hears word that one of his kingdom's spies has hired a group of thieves to sabatoge the enemy.

Hartley would realize that he might be able to use his thieving skills in order to gain the attention he needs in order to rise up so he'd decide to go track down the group of thieves to both learn from them and possibly try to take a bit of credit.

I could see this either causing him to accidentally run into Crow and Penelope's group or perhaps he already found Jaxon and managed to get accepted as a new member but doesn't realize how cruel they are yet like Crow since he's too blinded by a possible shot to excel.

Again I'm not sure if it would fit for what we have going but I thought it could be fun to bring him back in xD I also had an idea that the thief Penelope let get away from her and Gavin could be among them too but I might just save running into him for a different time cx
Penelope gave a small laugh at his words. "I'm not sure about that but I'll definitely give him a run for his money." she promised him with a grin. She was glad her words seemed to cheer the thief up a bit after being so worried and regretful over dealing with Jaxon. The knight didn't skip a beat as leaned into kiss her. She pressed into him and closed her eyes as she kissed him back.

As he pulled back, she gave a half amused smirk. "I wish you were exaggerating more on that." she mused before giving a small nod of agreement and stepping back to let him collect his supplies. If they did try to steal away anymore time, she wouldn't be surprised if the male knight came looking for them. She didn't want to test what he would do if he thought Crow had done something to her so began to step back towards the door as Crow got his bag.

She nodded her head and opened the door, stepping out of the house with him. Once they were outside, she took his hand in hers again, still craving his touch. The knight swept her gaze carefully over their surroundings before beginning to head back towards where the others were waiting. She fell in step besides him, falling quiet as she thought about how they would deal with Jaxon when they found him. She wasn't quite sure how Crow was planning to handle it but as far as the knight was concerned, Jazon needed to either be imprisoned or killed. The knight was planning more so for the latter, considering how cruel he seemed to be.

It wasn't long before the other two knights came into view. Gavin was the first to notice them, having been surveying the area for signs of them. Penelope noticed how he seemed to relax and she rolled her eyes. It seemed he hadn't stopped worrying about her leaving with the thief. I hope he's not going to be like this the whole time.. she thought, groaning inwardly.

"There you two are." Gavin sighed then eyed Crow impatiently. "Are we ready to go now?"
His story just gave her more of a drive to go after Jaxon xD
Crow's a little afraid and Penelope's a little confident for once cx only because she's sure of their combined skills but still lol
As Crow agreed to tell her, she gave a small nod falling quiet for a moment as he headed to the home. She noticed his hesitation to speak about this Jaxon and guessed that their history was not something Crow was fond of. It made the knight wonder exactly how badly the two had crossed paths before. She followed him into the home and sat down across for him ,looking over at him expectantly. The knight gave a small nod and listened as he began to tell her about Jaxon.

She was a bit surprised to hear how he had found his old life lonely and unsatisfying. Though, it did explain why he was no longer working alone, which was something she recalled being surprised to find out when they had first reunited. The knight stiffened slightly as he went on to talk about how Jaxon had killed the young boy for finding the thieves' camp. The information was unsettling to say the least. However, instead of scaring the knight, it just fueled her determination to catch the criminal. He sounded no better than the mercenaries she had fought in the past, cold-blooded killers whom she now felt very little guilt for killing. He needs to be stopped.. And not just for my comrades either.. she thought.

Turning her focus back to Crow as he met her gaze, she frowned a little as she noticed his pained expression. She hadn't realized just how much of a burden this part of a past had been for him until she saw how regretful he was for joining Jaxon's group, even though it was only for two seasons. The knight grimaced as she thought about how she accused him again, feeling another stab of guilt. Of course he wouldn't do anything so merciless.

"I see.. That certainly explains why you think it was them that attacked us.." she sighed and shook her head. Penelope stood up and stepped over to him, brushing back a strand of his hair before leaning down to press a comforting kiss to his forehead. "I know you wouldn't have. They sound no better than mercenaries.. And we've both had our fair share of dealing with them." she met his gaze offering him a reassuring smile. "They might be dangerous but so are we. We'll find this Jaxon and bring him down."
Unfortunately for him Penelope got curious xD
Penelope glanced up at him as he admitted that he was keeping his companions out of dealing with this other band of thieves. She figured that it was probably for the best, though her reasoning was far different than his. If his companions had joined him, she doubted the group would work very well together.

Gavin would likely not react well to working with more than just one thief and she guessed that Simon wouldn't be too keen on working with the knights. Not to mention Rikki would be here too.. She frowned at thought. Though she wasn't sure what was going on with that situation, the knight certainly didn't like the idea of working with the female thief after hearing about what had happened. The only ones that might get along decently enough were Alistair and Olivia, and that was only because of just how familiar they were with each other.

She focused back on Crow. "That's good.. I doubt working so closely with me and the other two would go over well with them, anyways. And Gavin's already giving you a hard time as it is.. I can't imagine him dealing with the others very well, even if you are his main target." she sighed and shook her head. The knight paused and gave him a curious look. "Crow, what is your history with this group? I wanted to ask earlier but well.. I figured it was best to wait until we were alone."
No worries!

Awww cx she still feels a little bad but that helped xD
Penelope leaned into him as he wrapped his arm around her shoulders. She was glad he didn't seem to hold a grudge against her for her mistake and his words relieved her of some of the guilt she felt. After this experience, she'd be much more careful if anything like the raid ever came up again. She doubted it would but the least she could do at the moment was continue to ignore Gavin's constant accusations against the thief. The knight hoped they'd die down soon so he could focus on the real enemy.

"Alright." she agreed softly with a small nod as she wrapped one arm around his middle. Penelope paused before giving him a small smirk of amusement. "Though speaking of the past, I think this is more a taste of that than the future.. Three knights, a thief and a dangerous mission. It's all too familiar to me." she gave a small chuckle. Remembering how concerned he had been the night before, her smile wavered slightly. They might have gotten through a castle before, but the mission had ended in failure rather than success. She hoped that this one wouldn't have any sort of similar outcome. Thinking about, she felt her own concerns grow slightly.

Focusing her gaze back ahead, Penelope glanced over their surroundings, she began to recognize the area a bit more. It looked a little different in daylight. The small homes looked even more run down now that they weren't heavy with shadows under the moonlight. "I'm guessing you stored all your stuff at the house huh?" she asked him, glancing ahead towards his old home.
Penelope still feels bad about accusing Crow cx

Penelope looked up at Crow and nodded her head as he asked her to come with him. "Sure." she agreed rather quickly. She saw it as a chance to get a bit of alone time with him and even if it was short, she'd take what she could get. In the coming days, it was likely they wouldn't have much time alone, especially with Gavin breathing down their necks, so she'd be quick to jump at any chance to get out of his watchful gaze.

The work they were dealing with might be serious but Penelope didn't think it wasn't anything the group couldn't handle. She had fought against a number of dangerous enemies, including a few near deadly fights with mercenaries, so surely it wouldn't be too harmful to enjoy her time working with Crow a little bit. She looked up at Crow as he gave her hand a tug and smiled in amusement before glancing over at Gavin. "We'll be back in a moment." she assured him before turning to follow Crow.

As they headed off, Penelope made sure to keep an eye out for any patrolling knights. Though she did just want to spend a bit of time with Crow, she didn't let it completely distract her. With everything that was going on, she needed to remain alert. "I know the situation isn't ideal but gods, it's nice to know I'll be seeing you everyday, even if it's just for a short while." she sighed once they had put some distance between themselves and the other two. She wondered if she might even be able to buy a full day away from camp so that she'd be able to spend the night with him. It might be pushing for too much, both because she doubted Mia would be quick to agree with it and not mention Gavin would likely oppose camping with Crow. However, with everything Crow had told them, the time might come when they had to regardless of what Mia or Gavin thought.

The knight paused and lowered her gaze shamefully as she thought about the thieves and her previous meeting with Crow. "Also.. I'm sorry about the other night. When I accused you of all of this.." she mumbled softly. "Everything just seemed to suggest it was you aside from the crime itself."
