Hello! This is Buzzingbee! I used to be on here as BuzzBee but I had some trouble. I had issues in real life that made me go off for a while and then when I was going to come back on, passwords, emails, etc were forgotten and lost. xD But I'm back and ready to jump into where I left off!

Penelope closed her eyes for a moment as he pulled her closer and pressed a kiss to her forehead. Feeling a little better after speaking with him about it, the knight was able to find a bit more comfort in his touch again. As he pulled back to met her gaze, she let out a soft sigh at his words. "I wish we could too.." she murmured in agreement as she felt a stab of longing. As if the war itself wasn't already enough, a band of murderous thieves working against them certainly didn't help. Mixed with Gavin's confidence that Crow was the enemy, things seemed to continue to get more complicated and difficult as time wore on.

She wrapped an arm around him and nestled her head underneath his as she held him close. The knight stayed like for a moment, merely enjoying his presence besides her while she longed for simpler days. She thought of the future they had planned after the war and found herself hoping they could prevent Younis from doing any more damage. As much as she wanted the future with him after the war, she also wanted to make sure her kingdom came out as the victors. Her family and friends would be safer if Brerra won and she wouldn't have to worry about what Younis would decide to do to the people of Brerra.

After some time, she pulled away from Crow and offered him an apologetic smile. "Sorry tonight didn't go the way we had originally planned." she told him softly before leaning in to press a soft kiss to his lips. "I'll have to make it up to you next time we meet." And by then, this whole mess will be a little less complicated.. she thought with newfound certainty. By then, Gavin would see once and for all that she was right about Crow. And once he did, they'd be able to focus properly on the real enemy.

"I should probably get going soon.." She added on a more reluctant note as she shifted out of his embrace and moved to collect her clothing. Penelope grabbed her shirt and glanced over her shoulder at him. "I'm thinking we should meet in another four days.. Does that work for you?"
Penelope's getting a bit more certain Gavin is wrong again lol
so the next night is really going to be a mess XD
Penelope glanced over at Crow as she waited for his reply. She noticed that he looked a bit shocked by all that she had told him, which admittedly caused for her to feel a bit of relief. It seemed that he hadn't known anything about the attack, unlike what the male knight had suspected after nearly getting killed. It gave her a bit more confidence that she was right in assuming the attack had just been a failed raid. Afterall, if Crow was working with Jaxon, surely he would have known she had been lying to him. As the silence dragged on for a moment, she began to worry that he might have been a bit hurt that she had lied to him before.

As he finally spoke up again, she relaxed slightly as he just seemed to have been taking in all of the information. Penelope gave a small nod and laid her head back in the grass, looking up at the sky as she went on to answer him. "He's fine... Just angry." she admitted quietly. "Of course, he's convinced you're the one that sent that killer after him.. I've been trying to talk some sense to him but you know how that goes."

The knight shook her head and turned over to face Crow. She reached out to rest her hand on top of his. "I think I've managed to calm him down enough for now." she assured him. Though, the only reason Gavin likely hadn't gone after Crow after that incident is because she finally gave in and agreed to see what the next night would bring them. Of course, she decided to keep that additional detail to herself.
Penelope gave up xD she couldn't not talk to him about it lol
It seemed all of her efforts were in vain. Despite trying to ignore her uneasiness and Crow's normal efforts during their time together, she couldn't relax like usual around him. Naturally, he picked up on it as she didn't respond to his tricks as usual. The knight frowned faintly as he finally spoke up to ask what was wrong. Penelope shifted her gaze away from him feeling a small stab of guilt. She fell quiet for a brief moment, unsure what to say, before letting out a small sigh of defeat. There was no use in trying to ignore it any longer when she clearly couldn't and now that Crow had noticed, there would be no hiding it anyways.

"I don't think it would matter.." she mumbled shifting away from him slightly. She met his gaze and offered an apologetic look as she reached out to place her hand on his cheek. "It's not you. I just.." she paused shifting her gaze away from him as she struggled a bit with an explanation. It had already felt bad enough lying to him before that she really didn't want it to go any further. She wanted to talk with him about but she was still hesitant to do so, especially since she was still planning on holding up her agreement with Gavin.

But would it be so bad if I talk about Gavin getting attacked? she wondered. It wouldn't give away her plans for the following day and it could ease her mind a bit. Suddenly, the knight found herself leaning towards opening up to the thief since hiding hadn't worked out for her very well. She just had to be a bit cautious of how she brought it up.

Penelope frowned and let out a long sigh. "I didn't want to bring it up but...something else did happen at my camp." she finally admitted after a long pause. She didn't meet his gaze, feeling guilty for lying to him before, and wrapped her arms around herself. "Gavin was attacked a couple nights ago.. Probably would have been killed if I hadn't heard them scuffling. It was just one man and Gavin ended up killing him before we could ask any questions so I don't know if that was a sign of a second raid or-or something else. It's been bothering me because I just.. I don't understand what it means and I didn't want to bring it up because well..you know how Gavin is so.. I figured the less you knew about it the better.." Everything flowed out like a damn suddenly breaking. Though it relieved a bit of pressure, it certainly didn't make her feel much better as she avoided meeting his gaze, unsure how he'd react to learning that she hadn't been honest with him in the first place.
Oh boy cx
Definitely, but Penelope's really not giving up lol she's basically trying a fake it 'til you make it XD
Penelope let him slip her shift off as she felt him reach to remove it. As he held her close and began to kiss along her neck, she closed her eyes as she tried to focus on the feeling of his lips on her skin. Her heart raced excitedly in her chest as she felt him pull her pants down but with it was subtle hint of nervousness that had yet to disappear despite her efforts. She ignored it though as he met her lips again in a passionate kiss. The knight tried to match him as she pressed back into the kiss.

As she felt him guide her hands down to the waistband of his pants, she hesitated to do anything. Realizing she had paused for a moment, the knight tried to quickly recover as she slipped his trousers down. Penelope hoped that he hadn't notice it and wished that she hadn't been so bothered by the random attack at her camp. Crow likely wasn't to blame for it despite what Gavin thought and she needed to stop letting the male knight get in her head.

In a small burst of defiance against her conflicting emotions, she wrapped her arms back around him and dragged him down to the ground with her. She laid back in the grass to look up at him with a faint smirk. The knight studied his features for a moment, enjoying a swell of affection for the thief as she did as she was reminded of the many things she loved about him. Trying to focus on that, she leaned up to kiss him more fervently as she desperately tried to hold off her worries.
She's trying xD
Penelope frowned as Crow admitted that Black Hollow had been another dead end. His reassurance didn't do much for her this time but she still offered him a small smile and leaned into meet him as he kissed her again. As he pulled back to ask if anything else happen, she felt her stomach churn slightly. Was she that obvious? Or did he already know something? Regardless it certainly didn't grant her any relief.

"No.. I'm just worried they'll strike again is all.." she replied slowly as she met his gaze with a soft sigh. She felt terrible that she was trying to lie to him, even if it was really only a partial lie. I'll tell him everything once all of this is settled after tomorrow.. she assured herself to ease the stab of guilt that she felt. "The supplies aren't coming for around another week so that'll leave us a bit vulnerable until then.. I just hope neither Younis nor Jaxon will attack us before then."

She hoped the added details would be enough to keep the thief from asking further questions or picking up on the fact that she was lying. Penelope leaned in a little closer to him and offered a small smile. "But I think that's enough business for now." she mumbled softly before moving in to press a few kisses along his jaw as she tried to turn the focus back onto the moment at hand rather than what was causing her worries. "It'll probably be another few days before I can see you again so let's not focus on that stuff right now.." Though she said it to him, it was also a bit of advice for herself as she hoped to push past her unease to enjoy her time with him. Determined to do so, she pressed into him and trailed her lips softly down his as she let one hand trail down his side to the hem of his tunic.
It really is XD and it's only going to get worse lol
