Hello! This is Buzzingbee! I used to be on here as BuzzBee but I had some trouble. I had issues in real life that made me go off for a while and then when I was going to come back on, passwords, emails, etc were forgotten and lost. xD But I'm back and ready to jump into where I left off!

Penelope looked over at Crow as he responded and gave a nod. She hadn't expected him to be ready. The time when their plans had their roles reversed wasn't that long ago and even though she had been certain in her decision to stay with him, there had already been a good deal of nervousness as well as apprehension to leave behind her life. Their visit to the castle had made realize how tough it would be to leave behind her home for good.

Of course, she wouldn't have to worry about that now. The knight turned her head to look up at the thief, returning his smile. Though she still felt a bit bad about him having to leave his life behind—it was something she likely would never be able to fully repay him for—she was ecstatic to have him join her in her world as a noble. "Well, I'll try to help with that as much as I can." She promised him with an affectionate look.

"Plus I'm sure Naida will help a great deal with that too." she mused as she focused her gaze back ahead as they walked. The knight was doing her best to ignore the stares he was getting from passing nobles. She still found it as irritating as before but unable to do anything, she just tried to keep her gaze focused on the road. "Gods I still can't believe I just found out she's a princess..." the knight groaned in quiet embarrassment. She glanced over at Crow and smirked in amusement. "Who would have thought I'd unknowingly befriend your sister of all people."
I can imagine xD

Also talking about John reminded me that I was thinking John could be assigned to teach him some stuff on occasion. cx Mainly knight stuff, since I'm assuming that even though he's the ambassador, they'd still want to make sure he was able to defend himself, especially since he's got quite a few enemies xD
figured they need some forced, alone bonding time lol
Penelope gave a small nod as he mentioned her father. She believed that she owed a great deal of thanks to her mother for that one. If she hadn't insisted upon him giving Crow a chance, it was likely that her father would have kept his promise about finding her a new suitor as soon as they returned to the inner kingdom. She smiled up at Crow as he pressed one last kiss to her cheek, drawing her from her thoughts briefly.

She got up after him and ran a hand through her hair, smoothing it down for a moment before gathering her clothes and slipping them back on. Grabbing her armor and boots, she put them back on as well and then moved to join Crow as they headed out for the last leg of their trip to the castle. The knight took the lead as she headed to drop off the key. The innkeeper still seemed as unwelcoming towards the thief as usual and was a bit slow to accept the key. Penelope noticed that he seemed to be taking careful note of the possessions as if trying to make sure the thief hadn't somehow stolen from him again.

Naturally he didn't find anything and bid Penelope a curt word of gratefulness while shooting a distrusting glare at the thief. The knight didn't say anything further to the innkeeper and headed out and back onto the street. Now that the time was drawing closer for Crow's decision to take effect, she couldn't help but feel a little nervous for the thief. Sure he had the king's favor, but she wondered if that would be enough to completely protect him from what she guessed would be a large amount of unhappy nobles.

The thought of someone trying something harm him or get him in jail made the knight walk a little closer to him out of protectiveness. Penelope glanced up at him as she felt their hands brush and she offered him a small, half smile. "So... Are you ready? I'm not sure how soon the king is planning to announce it but I imagine you won't be a wanted criminal for too much longer now." she mused quietly.
Poor Preston lol kid has no idea what he's getting himself into xD
Penelope gave a victorious grin as she felt him beginning to move to get up. Satisfied that she had gotten him up, she shifted off of him to give him space to sit up. However, she barely sat back when he suddenly reached out and grabbed her. The knight didn't have time to react as he pulled her back down to the ground and rolled on top of her. She blinked a bit dazedly as she went from looking down at him to now looking up at him as he held her down.

The knight erupted into giggles as he began to tickle her. "Hey!" she protested, squirming beneath him. "I tried to wake you up nicely first!" Penelope laughed and grabbed his hands in an effort to stop him. She grinned up at him a bit breathlessly as she remained still for a moment. Studying his face, from the way he looked at her to his grin and messy hair, the knight felt a burst of affection for the thief as well as a sense of heavy disappointment as she knew this would likely be their last time waking up next to each other for a while.

Her features softened and she leaned up to press a tender kiss to his lips, letting go of his hands as she moved to wrap her arms around him. "I know we'll get to wake up next to each other every day someday soon but gods, it certainly isn't soon enough." she sighed softly as she pulled back from him. She gently brushed a strand of hair out of his face and then let him go. Shifting in the tangled mess of blanket around them, she smiled at him halfheartedly. "Come on. Now that you're up we should get ready to go."
Penelope wasn't merciful xD

Yeah haha he's in for a shock lol
Penelope shook her head as the thief didn't respond well to being woken up. Perhaps if it were a bit earlier she would have just let him sleep in a little longer. However, they needed to get back on the road, especially since it was their last day of travel. It was bad enough that they had slept in rather late anyways. The knight stretch for a moment, shaking off her own sleepiness, before focusing back to Crow.

Looking over at the thief, she quickly realized he likely need a bit more of a push to get up than just mere words. It seemed to be an especially difficult morning for both of them to wake up and Crow obviously wasn't as strict as her when it came to keeping on schedules. The knight folded her arms over her chest for a moment as she thought over her options on how to get the sleepy thief up. After all, she didn't want to risk delaying them for too much longer and was afraid that she'd be tempted to go back to sleep as well if she let him rest.

Smirking, the knight got up from her spot and shifted over to lean over him for a moment. She then moved to flop herself directly on top of the thief, albeit a bit awkwardly since he was on his side but that was fine since she figured it was enough to keep both of them from falling asleep. Penelope rested her chin on his shoulder. "Come on, it's our last day of travel, we shouldn't make ourselves late now. You'll have time to catch up on more sleep once we're back at the castle." she said, poking his cheek.
Yeah I see him dealing with it fairly well xD
the bigger issue will be when him and Crow start having differing ideas lol
Penelope looked up at him and smiled dazedly at his words. "I've got to agree with that." she chuckled. Though exhausted, being with him certainly wasn't something she regretted, although she was a bit worried about sleeping in late the next morning. However, the knight could barely focus on that thought as she strained to keep her eyes open, knowing that once they closed there was a high chance they wouldn't open again until morning.

She leaned over and pressed a kiss to his cheek and then let out weary yawn. "I don't think I can stay up any longer though.." she mumbled. Curling up against his side, Penelope nestled her head against his and draped an arm over the thief as she settled in for the night. Finding the battle of staying awake growing more difficult, she slowly shut her eyes and let out a content exhale.

"Good night... Love you.." she murmured before succumbing to her weariness and falling into a restful slumber.

As Penelope had suspected, she wasn't quick to wake up the next morning. The knight had been sleeping like a log and very little bothered her. However, as the morning light began to trickle into the room from the window, it managed to directly hit her face. At first the knight was unfazed but eventually the uncomfortableness of the bright light on her closed eyes began to stir her from her sleep. She let out a groan and moved to bury her head into Crow's chest.

Though she wanted to keep sleeping—especially since she was now comfortably resting against Crow again—she knew that the strength of the light probably meant that it was time to get up. Penelope let out a reluctant sigh and forced her eyes open. Pulling back from Crow, she moved to press a kiss to his cheek. "Morning." she mumbled with a sleepy smile.
Definitely a risk with that then xD
although I imagine it'll go his way for a while lol
