Hello! This is Buzzingbee! I used to be on here as BuzzBee but I had some trouble. I had issues in real life that made me go off for a while and then when I was going to come back on, passwords, emails, etc were forgotten and lost. xD But I'm back and ready to jump into where I left off!

Penelope looked over at Crow and bit her tongue to suppress a smile as he announced that he'd go with her. She glanced over at Naida as she noticed the princess beaming excited. Glancing over at Crow as he explained his reasoning, she gave a hapless shrug as Naida still seemed to be making assumptions. It was a reasonable excuse so the knight didn't worry too much about trying to deny whatever Naida was thinking about them walking together. She was much more excited by the fact that she'd get the extra time with him.

"It definitely would." she said returning his smirk. Glancing over her shoulder she waved goodbye ot Naida and then turned to begin their walk to the third floor. Now able to spend some more time with him, she walked a little slower than she usually would have, eager to make the most out of their still short but extended time together that day.

She opened her mouth to add something but hesitated as Crow's attendant moved to join them. Deciding it best to lower her voice slightly to avoid him over hearing her words, she added, "If we're lucky, we might get these walks together for at least the next few days." she focused her gaze ahead and smiled faintly. "Tybalt assigned me to the third floor for the next three days."

Penelope's meeting definitely isn't going to go well lol
Penelope looked over at Crow with a hint of amusement as he studied the box carefully. She glanced over at Naida as she laughed and told him to just open it. The knight exchanged a glance with the princess and shrugged her shoulders as the viceroy insisted on figuring out what was inside the box before opening it. She took a couple bites of her food as she listened to the two, smirking a little when Crow managed to figure out what was inside the box.

She looked over to watch as the thief finally opened the box, unable to suppress a smile as he spotted the quill. "I figured it was a nice touch of past and present." the knight said returning his grin. "I'm glad you like it." Hearing a faint giggle, she turned her head to look back over at Naida and rolled her eyes as she noticed her friend grinning from ear to ear as she watched them. Penelope supposed she shouldn't have been so expressive about being excited that Crow had liked his gift, especially since it wasn't truly coming from her in the first place. She would have liked to get him something if she could have but since they were hiding their closeness, it would have been impossible.

"She did good, didn't she?" Naida smirked. "I would have never thought to get you that."

Penelope shook her head and shifted her attention back to her breakfast, taking a few more bites. Her gaze flickered to one of the windows and she let out a sigh knowing she'd have to leave soon to take her guard shift. "Well, I better get going. I've got a guard shift today." she mused.

"Me too." Naida sighed then glanced curiously at the knight. "Where did they stick you?"

"Third floor." she shrugged.

"Darn. I'm at the northwest tower today." Naida shrugged then grinned. "Maybe I'll catch you sometime after though."

"Doubt it." Penelope frowned a little as she subtly glanced at Crow. "I've got a meeting with a baron later in the evening." Seeing Naida's questioning gaze, she shrugged her shoulders. "His son approached me a couple days ago about discussing the end of the war."

"Oh well good then!" Naida grinned. "Hope the meeting goes well."

"Thanks. Me too." Penelope smiled and moved to stand up. "Guess I'll see you two around then."
She threw in a new one as well xD
Penelope struck up a conversation with Naida as she waited for her food. However, the conversation didn't last long as she spotted Crow walking over to join their table. The knight strained to keep a neutral expression as the viceroy stepped over to join them. After a day apart and being unsure if she'd get a chance to seem him that day, she was excited to find out that she hadn't missed him and that she'd at least get to spend some time with him that day. She noticed Naida pull the same stunt she had pulled with her before and let out a small sigh. However, she didn't object as Crow settled in besides her. "Morning." she greeted with a nod to him.

"I'm glad you're finally here! I was hoping I'd catch you this morning." Naida grinned. She grabbed a small box from besides her and presented it excitedly to the viceroy. "While we were in Bellmare yesterday, we decided to get you a small gift since you couldn't make it and to congratulate you on the promotion."

"Hold on. We?" Penelope smirked. "It was your decision."

"To get something sure but," she held up a finger with a mischievous glint in her gaze. "You were the one that picked out the gifts. Therefore, you're apart of this."

The knight chuckled and leaned back slightly as the servants arrived to place their food down on the table. Sh glanced down at her food as it arrived and then looked over at Naida. "Alright." she said glancing over at Crow with a small shrug. She saw no reason to argue further, even if the princess was clearly trying to use the gift to get the two together. Besides, she was a bit eager herself to see if the viceroy had liked what she had picked out.

Naida gave a pleased smirk and turned back to Crow with an eager gleam. "Go ahead and open it! I think you'll like what Penelope picked out for you." she said with a wink as she pushed the box over to him.

I'm really excited to write out Penelope's meeting with them lol it should be interesting
The next morning Penelope woke up at a fairly early hour. She stretched as the soft morning light stirred her from her peaceful sleep. Despite being a bit sleepy still, the knight did feel refreshed at least so she wasted no time in getting up and preparing for the day ahead, taking the time to unpack the items she had returned with. She also went ahead and changed, slipping on a clean pair of pants and new shirt. It was admittedly a bit nice to get out of the clothes she had been wearing, especially since they had grown rather dirty from all the traveling.

Set for the day ahead, she stepped out of the room and headed down the corridor, making her way towards the Great Hall. She didn't make it very far from her own door when Tybalt rounded the corner and focused his gaze on her. She dipped her head politely to the captain and met him halfway as she noticed his wave.

"Good timing, Vermillion." Tybalt grunted. "I was just about to stop by to tell you, you have day shifts for the next three days."

"Where am I positioned?" she asked.

"Third floor, first hallway." Tybalt responded curtly.

Penelope blinked in mild surprise. "That high up huh?" Since it was on the third floor, that meant it would be near the royal family. Usually only higher ranking or more experience guards took shifts there. Penelope didn't consider herself to be either of those so she was a bit caught off guard to suddenly not just one shift but three there.

"You and your father seem to be on good terms with the royal family so I see no reason not to put you there." Tybalt paused and crossed his arms over his chest. "Unless you'd prefer bottom floor."

"No, sir. Third floor is fine. Thank you." she said dipping her head respectfully. Tybalt just grunted and continued on his way. Penelope turned and did the same as she made her way to the Great Hall for breakfast. Stepping inside, she did a quick scan of the room for Crow or Naida. Having not seen the thief the day before, she hoped to be able to catch him at breakfast since it was unlikely she'd be around for dinner as she had a meeting with Alden and his father. Though she didn't spot Crow, she did spot Naida, who waved to get her attention. Hoping that she hadn't missed the viceroy, she headed over to join her friend, taking a seat across from her.
Same lol her reaction to finding out who he is should be entertaining xD
Penelope didn't waste much more time at her home after she had packed her belongings. Since Naida had gotten the horses ready, the two were ready to leave in no time and said a quick word of goodbye to Letitia, who encouraged them to visit again soon. Having done what she needed, the knight relaxed as they rode further into the town. Bellmare was a city filled with wealthy nobles due to its relative closeness to both the castle and river so needless to say it had a rather impressive marketplace.

The two knights dismounted their horses and walked through it, casually looking over the various goods. They stopped at one stand that had a variety of jewelry. Naida expressed interest in getting her younger sister a small gift and swept her gaze over a selection of different necklaces. Penelope stood to the side, browsing with little interest over the other pieces nearby as she waited for her friend. Her gaze eventually fell on a rather expensive looking pendant.

It was crafted to resemble the god Toreus and seemed to be made out of pure gold, all except for the eyes which were a clear crystal—diamonds perhaps? Penelope was too get at identifying stones—and gleamed in the sunlight. Regardless, it reminded the knight of her meeting with god as well as making her feel a refreshed sense of urgency to end the war.

"Alright! I'm done!"

Penelope jumped slightly as Naida stepped back over to her side, pulled from her slight trance. She looked over at her friend and gave a small smile. "Great. Let's get going then."

"Actually... I wanted to check out a few more shops. I think we should get Collin something. Like a congratulations, good luck and also sorry you couldn't make it type of gift." Naida said and then grinned at Penelope. "What do you think? What would you get him?"

"I don't know." Penelope shrugged.

"Come on. You must have some kind of idea." Naida nudged her. "Help me out."

Penelope hesitated and shifted her weight. "Well.. All I can say is that it should be practical. I have a feeling he's not one for gaudy jewelry or other such luxuries." she replied a bit hesitantly, worried that Naida might look a little too deeply into her advice and how well she knew the thief.

"So it should be something he can use often?" Naida asked with a thoughtful look.

"I think so." Penelope nodded her head, relaxing once more.

Naida fell silent for a moment before letting out a long groan. "Gods I don't even know what that would be. Everything he could possibly need to use is at the castle isn't it?"

"Well.. yeah. But there's a difference between owning something and borrowing it." Penelope pointed out with an amused look. Spotting another stand nearby, a gleam entered her gaze and she turned to Naida, unable to suppress a grin. "Wait. I got it. I know exactly what you should get him."

Their trip to the market ended up being rather enjoyable. Penelope hadn't bought anything herself but she had helped Naida with choosing out an item for Crow, one she felt rather proud of. It was a quill made out of a crow's feather. They also got him a journal to go along with it. The knight thought it was quite fitting since it was a reminder of his past but also one he could use for his future as a viceroy. Though Naida would be the one giving him the gift, she hoped he would like it.

As the day wore on, the two grabbed an early dinner at an inn before making their trip back to the castle. Since it was a short journey, the two were able to make it just a short time before sundown. Penelope hopped off of her horse and stretched tiredly. Though the day had been enjoyable, all the moving around had her quite tired. She collected her bags and stepped away from the horse as the stable boy began to lead it away. This time, neither of the knights objected to letting the servant tend to the horse as they were both quite tired.

"Thanks for coming with me today." Penelope said as they headed into the castle.

"Of course! It was fun!" Naida smiled brightly.

"I'll see you tomorrow then." Penelope yawned and gave a small wave farewell to Naida before turning and heading off to her quarters for the night. It was still rather early but since she had already eaten, the knight didn't see any reason not to lay down. She placed her bag down in one corner of the room and then quickly settled into bed for the night.
That ended up being way longer than I thought it would cx
