Have you ever wondered why bad things happen? Well... that's because there are monsters that make it so. We call them demons. What people don't know however is these creatures walk among us. They speak to us daily. Why do we not see them? Because they are within humans. In order to contain the demons long ago, an ancient order of monks blocked their power by sealing them away in the human world. Their Prisons? Human bodies.
We call them Hosts. Hosts are people who have sacrificed their lives in order to keep the demons sealed away and protect humanity. While having an eternal monster living inside of you is probably a net negative, there are some perks as well. Immortality, some inhuman abilities, and you're never lonely because there's a monster whispering into your ear constantly to 'free it'. Among the known demons, there are seven that are more powerful than all the rest: The Seven Deadly Sins of Wrath, Greed, Lust, Gluttony, Sloth, Envy, and Pride. These seven were the top soldiers of Lucifer himself and were entrusted to a group of seven Hosts who keep their powers in check for all eternity.
So the story here is strightforward. This is an rp with seven humans all of whom have been made immortal thanks to the demon placed inside them. Set in a modern age, the Hosts are in a constant mental war with their respective demons and are forced to live with them on a daily basis. To make things worse, the demon king Lucifer wants his soldiers back and sends his minions into the the human world to track down the Hosts of the Sins and kill them in order to free the demons inside.
To counter this, Hosts have discovered over the years they can tap into the powers of the demons and use them for themselves. However, every time they use this power, they give into the demon and it slowly becomes harder to control the demonic impulses flowing through their bodies.
Ideally this RP would have seven members, each corresponding to one of the sins. I'll just see if anyone has interest now, and if enough people jump on, I'll post a dedicated IC later.
