Don't try to stop the recoil, you'll break your wrist. But try and distribute it along your body. Like this," Jen said, taking aim with another Glock she had picked up.
She fired three shots, her body posture allowing her to absorb the recoil. She had managed to hit one of the shots on the bullseye, and the other two close by.
'Apparently I've not gotten any worse. In fact, I may have improved slightly,' She thought.

"Yeah, the kick is how much it bounces. It's more commonly called the recoil. You're probably better starting with a handgun of some sort, or maybe a submachine gun if you want a little more power," She said, walking over to the rack before picking out a Glock 17.
She handed it to Veronica carefully.
"Keep the barrel pointed down the range at all times, and don't let your finger rest on the trigger," She said seriously.

"This is Franchi SPAS-12 pump action shotgun. It's no longer in production, yet still remains one of the most popular weapons today. It can fire anything from birdshot to frag rounds, and will kill almost anything at close range," She said, reciting from knowledge, "This is the exact same type of shotgun that Dolly had. It's powerful, dangerous, and a damn good gun."
She marveled at it for a second, before glancing back up at Veronica.
"Also probably not the best gun to start off on. It kick like a horse."

Jen walked over to one of the guards holding Kiiros, ignoring the boy.
"Is there anywhere that we can shoot with these?" She asked him, wondering how her aim was doing after a while without practice.
The guard pointed at a small shooting range, which Jen quickly moved over to.

Selena moved over to the girl and knelt down.
"Are you okay?" She asked, worried about the girl slightly.
Apparently she could still be hurt when she was made of metal.
Interesting indeed, isn't it? It appears she does have some weaknesses, the voice commented, sounding quite curious now.

Jen let out a whistle at the sight of all the weapons. Her eyes passed over them, noting that she could probably operate the large majority of them, bar maybe some which were at the edge of being artillery as opposed to guns.
"I know what its like to miss a mother," Jen said when she saw Veronica's expression, "We can talk about it later if you want. For now, I believe that those shotguns are calling to me."
She quickly moved over to the shotguns, running her hand along the barrel of a Spas-12, before picking it up, weighing it in her hands.

"Who are 'they'?" She asked, "You don't have to tell me if you don't want to, but I'm curious. You've mentioned them a lot."
She noticed that they were drawing closer to the armoury, glancing at one of the useful signs on the wall.
