"Ok. I've never really read horror before, but I'll give it a try," she said, quickly reading the blurb.
She paused for a moment.
"What do you think we will be doing tomorrow? I know a guard said something about a trial mission, but I'm not sure."

"He would probably do what he just did. Walk in, see us, and walk back out," Ley giggled, before settling into a comfortable silence.
She closed her eyes, snuggling into the bartender, a smile slowly forming on her face as her breathing slowed and she drifted back to sleep.

Jen followed Veronica, heading for the section labeled for authors with last names beginning with C and picked up a copy of Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell.
"This is my favourite book," She said, holding it up, the raven on the front clearly visible.
She flicked through the first page, smiling at the familiar words.

Jen smiled at that.
"Sure, sounds fun. I've always enjoyed a good book when I've had the chance," She said.
She'd never had access to a large collection of books, but the few she had managed to find, she had devoured.
"What's your favourite book?" She asked Veronica, moving off the wall in preparation to go.

Jen walked over to the shower room and leant against the wall next to the shower.
"They're good, aren't they?" She said to Veronica, a smile on her face.
To her, this was perfectly normal behaviour. She'd shared the one shower at Dollys with another girl plenty of times, to save hot water. So having a conversation in this manner was nothing out of the ordinary.

She stuck her tongue out at the mare at the mention of breaking the stallion.
"He's asked so many times to share," She said, rolling her eyes, "And I only agreed if one condition was met. And that condition involves royalty. As for him not walking in on us, we came to an agreement regarding if one of us brought back someone with us. Never know, he might have found a lucky stallion or mare for himself."

Jen nodded, rubbing her hair a little with a towel.
"Definitely. They're amazing. It was just like all the tension melted away. It is hot, and wet, and it felt sooo good," She said, shivering a little at the memory.
A shower like that was just what she had needed after this day, with all of its ups and downs.
