Hey, I'm Catharyn! I joined the Roleplayer Guild on 2nd Feb 2011, then rejoined on the 17th Jan 2014 after Guildfall.
I was active every day until late 2015, accruing (i think) around 7k posts across dozens of roleplays. Then, I started working and had to gradually slow down my RP schedule. In 2017, I officially went on hiatus when other commitments got fully in the way of roleplaying.
This continued until the COVID-19 pandemic hit, when I suddenly realised I had a lot more free time in lockdown! So in mid-2020, I returned to the Guild with a vengeance. I also managed to get The Cradle 1x1 off the ground - a story i've had percolating for almost a decade.
My posting schedule has slowed down a bit now that the world has opened up again. I still love science fiction, fantasy and espionage themes, and generally aim for around 300 words per post.

Colour me interested. Will most likely play a Tindrel, maybe write up a faction sheet for some kind of Tindrel Black Panther-esque group. I doubt the abolition of slavery came with total social outlook change towards the insect people

I'm just trying to find the old picture i used for the Tindrel. It was absolutely perfect and i can't settle for any substitutes.

Of course. Can't have him being OP now. He'd also have a few command overrides installed in him a la Robocop, so that he couldn't flip back to the BESC, not that he'd ever want to. As for other limitations, I'd probably have him suffer from flexibility issues (due to his limbs being entirely cybernetic) as well as issues in regards to energy as well as overheating in the desert climate.

The Group sounds awesome. I think my character would fit well there. Catharyn, how does a former BESC spec-ops who tried to flip to The Group, was nearly killed by his own comrades after they discovered his intentions, then rescued and augmented by his saviors (The Group) sound? Even though the BESC know who he is, they couldn't very well track him if 80% of his body's been replaced with machinery, can they?
That sounds interesting :) When you say 80% of his body has been replaced with machinary, what parts are we talking and for what reason? If 80% of somebody suddenly stopped working, chances are the person's brain would die before they could reach the operating table right?
I'm back, sorry for the long wait guys. I've been literally so busy these past couple of days haven't really had any down time at all. 
It's always the case when i start a new RP or IntChk; rest assured i am still totally committed to the cause. In other news, the Brighton half-marathon went great, i was handing out water and Lucozade at the finish line and actually made it into the Newspaper and the BBC news 
I'm the one in the white tee, completely swamped by runners needing water and energy drinks. . Contrary to what i said earlier, the weather was absolutely gorgeous. So much so i think i actually tanned a little from standing out in the sun all day. In February too!!

There isn't really a set date in the Roleplay, something about disregarding the birth of Christ or something.
It's over a thousand years into the future is the closest i can get. It doesn't matter as much because for all the great steps forward Humanity has taken, there have also been some colossal steps back too.
