Hey, I'm Catharyn! I joined the Roleplayer Guild on 2nd Feb 2011, then rejoined on the 17th Jan 2014 after Guildfall.
I was active every day until late 2015, accruing (i think) around 7k posts across dozens of roleplays. Then, I started working and had to gradually slow down my RP schedule. In 2017, I officially went on hiatus when other commitments got fully in the way of roleplaying.
This continued until the COVID-19 pandemic hit, when I suddenly realised I had a lot more free time in lockdown! So in mid-2020, I returned to the Guild with a vengeance. I also managed to get The Cradle 1x1 off the ground - a story i've had percolating for almost a decade.
My posting schedule has slowed down a bit now that the world has opened up again. I still love science fiction, fantasy and espionage themes, and generally aim for around 300 words per post.

Undoubtedly. Most of the people there might not even have a weapon and some will almost certainly just be watching events unfold.
I'm trying to gauge whether BESC are rash enough to send a gunship and strafe the courtyard through the bay windows. Mow everyone down at the risk of hitting their own enforcers.

A black and yellow hover car has crashed into one of the towers. BESC have moved in to arrest him but local militia have jumped them and a huge firefight has just broken out. Exciting.

I have no idea to get Tal involved in any of this, so I shall continue to wait.
Getting involved isn't mandatory. Babylon is huge and varied and completely open. There are hundreds of scenarios unfolding every second; in a realistic world Jack and Tal may never cross paths until the very end of the Roleplay, if at all. I suggest that if you can't see a way to organically involve your character in the drama developing in the Projects, start something else close by and see what happens.
We will all support ventures and sub-plots unless they absolutely do not mesh with the general direction we're going with.Maxxorlord said

I've edited the last paragraph on my post. Still not quite happy with it but it'll have to do.
Guys i'm going up to Birmingham for a meeting today and tomorrow. Won't be back until Saturday at about 9pm GMT, ergo i won't be posting anything in that timeframe. I'm sure you'll do fine, but in the event that something in the OOC catches fire i'm appointing the roleplay's mascot as my second in command.
