I don't think it would be an issue. I also predict not all players will always be open to RPing in every mission, so having some buffer to guarantee at least a small team in each one would be nice.
Location/Color of Guild Mark: On the right side of her torso, chocolate colored.
Magic Type: Pastry Magic - Caster Magic
The creation and manipulation of pastries of any type.
The flavor of the pastries reflects her mood, can be sweet, sour, bitter…
Spell: Hardtack - Creates a special summoned bread that is heavier and more durable.
Magic Rank: C
Strengths: Creative With observant eyes and a sharp mind, since before she was a mage Avinne always had a knack for creative endeavors, being able to take inspiration from unusual places and quickly compose them together into something new. With magic, it is not too different, she is constantly trying to (sometimes literally) cook up new tools.
Easy-Going / Carefree Ranks, wealth, prestige, guilds, these things never get in the way of Avinne. Of course, this makes her a bit cheeky, but this also leads to her being approachable and sociable, rarely ashamed of who she is or judgemental of what others are.
Audacious She is a risk taker, always a bit ambitious though also realistic about it, focusing not on being the best in general but on being the best she can be. She is rarely hesitant in the face of the unknown and, albeit not a daredevil to outright seek dangerous situations, she doesn’t shy from walking on the edge of a cliff if it means winning a race.
Weaknesses: Limited There is no workaround it, the magic Avinne uses is very peculiar and needs to be used well to work like other magical abilities, there are no default approaches and most tasks require her to be focused and inspired. Of course, she tries her best, but she is still doing all that work just to catch up, meaning that Avinne at her best is equivalent to some users at their average.
Fussy Being observant comes with a price, and Avinne rarely does not express the perceived flaws she nitpicks in something. She is critical of every food she eats, a piece of art she experiences, or even magical skill, all said in a polite and casual tone, which can mitigate the frustration caused by it. She often loses a lot of time making sure her outfit is tidy (after spending a good time to pick one), combing her hair, fixing the position of furniture, with most of her money being burned into very specific items.
Flaky / Superstitious Avinne can be quite eccentric if you get to know her in the long term, her creativity, carefree attitude and audacity mixing together in weird ways. She is definitely not someone practical, often going for an unnecessarily unconventional solution when an easy one is already available. Going off on tangents. Having “out there” theories and suspicions, and being very susceptible to superstitions. Thankfully she is indolent or lazy and takes her missions with seriosity… though it can help to make sure the instructions are clear.
Personality: Avinne is a sweet girl with an air of grace and elegance, though these are just the first impressions, it does not take long for one to see the girl’s more eccentric and irreverent side. She is a friendly person, sometimes a bit cheeky, but still someone that is naturally kind. Before she focused on magic she tried out many sorts of artistic expression and sees magic very much in the same way, even if the application of it is more active. While not selfish, she is not exactly selfless either, in allegoric terms, she would share a meal with someone who is hungry but would not starve for the sake of someone else.
Background: The girl has a very mundane background, in truth. She lived in a small town in the countryside and grew up a relatively normal life as the single child of a middle-class family, her most distinct aspect being her ability when it came to drawing and her large apetite. She could use magic since she was young, but just never told anybody or realized it was uncommon, this fact just being discovered by others when a friend accidentally dropped her own birthday cake into the floor and Avinne just snapped another one into the table. From there onward she was led into the world of magic and told not only about how much more she could do with her skills, but also about the tales of the mages of the past.
The girl quickly came to love that aspect of her life and to her, it was as fun to try magic out as it was to draw or talk with friends. Soon the possibility of joining a guild came to her mind, and there was none that interested her more than Fairy Tail, it felt like they would be the only ones who would not be judgemental of her skills.

@Juvvie I am planning on playing a newcomer so at the start her powers would be quite primitive.
The basics are simple, the power to create and manipulate pastries. The character's most fundamental battle strategy is to be a nuisance, not only overpowering senses such as vision and smell with a barrage of desserts but also making the floor slippery, disrupting fire users or even water users. One of her spells would be to create very hard bread that acts as either as a shield of limited durability or to bash someone, nothing too crazy, below a wood stick in impact.
Latter spells could include making really large pies that could cushion someone's fall or be an obstacle, creating chocolate bombs covering people in chocolate that hardens over time or even an ultra-specific short range teleport ability in which she can burst out of large enough cake as if it was a pop out cake. As a few examples.
Basically, a utility toolset with no real "punching" power but that is quite flexible.
How are the rules on creating new types of magic? Is it allowed? I have two ideas right now and the one I am leaning towards one that would use Pastries (since I always loved the weirder powers in Fairy Tail, like Solid Script or Wool)
This seems interesting. I will try to make a sheet tomorrow, I did like Fairy Tail back in the day... But that has been a long while ago now, gotta unrust my knowledge about world rules a bit.
!!! This story is set after the end of the manga, the description will contain a few spoilers !!!
A few years have passed since the world changed dramatically and irreversibly. The war between the DWMA and the Witches came to a close. The new peace treaty promised that new Death Scythes were, under no circumstances, to be created and the witches, in turn, promised that they would cooperate with the new Shinigami and make Death City prosper. The old world order was gone, the threat of Azura’s madness, the conspiracies of the Gorgon Sisters, the leadership of Lord Death, these were things of the past.
Of course, things are never so simple. A new era of unbroken peace was just too good to be true. Chaos was inevitable, and some people were more than ready to welcome it with open arms.
[♦♦♦]
A group of students in DWMA's EAT class received a surprising offer: To spend their summer in a beautiful Mediterranean island, all expenses paid by the academy! An opportunity too good to pass up, especially for young meisters, and all they had to do was to keep the peace in the island. Considering keeping the peace of the world had been an easy job as of late, how bad could that be?
Well, quite bad! Chaos is king in Malum Island.
It is a hideout of witches who live outside of the Witch Order’s rulership, the least dangerous one being those who are doing it for nefarious personal purposes. The local chapter of the DWMA was overtaken by a radical group who believes the news of the passing of Lord Death and the peace treaty are nothing but deceit and those saying such things must be punished. Monsters and corrupted souls are commonplace and many unexplained events occur, sometimes as wild as an entire city changing location.
The civilians seem completely unaware, moving onward with their lives as if everything is business as usual. Only a small group of sane individuals remain, unable to escape the island or to communicate with the outside world as the messages are either cut or twisted into some version of “everything is okay, we are fine!”
The arrival of a group of clueless DWMA students is the first time in months they felt anything close to hope. Unaffected by the local madness but stuck in there thanks to the curse, it is up to them to discover what, or who, is behind this widespread insanity.
=================================
Apple of Discord is an RP based on the series Soul Eater. In it you will play a Demon Weapon (humans who can turn into weapons) or a Meister (The warriors who wield said weapons) as your characters find themselves trapped in an island nation filled with chaotic events and dangerous factions.
As a bizarre summer vacation counterpart to the series’ bizzarre school system, characters won’t have to worry about classes, homework or authority figures, instead being free to explore the local area and perhaps even enjoy it, if they can overlook the whole ‘stuck in a dangerous island’ situation.
Their main ally will be the local resistance group, mostly composed of ex-staff of the local DWMA chapter and normal humans who seem to be able to resist the local insanity. Having been there when things started to go wrong, most meisters and weapons of this group have been cursed to some extent, so their support is mostly in the form of housing, supplies, guidance and training.
================================= Important Concepts
♦ Malum Island
Malum Island is a large island nation in the Mediterranean. The island is about the size of Corsica, and has a bit of everything you’d find in the region. Including volcanoes, abandoned Roman fortresses, eerie old towns full of dark alleyways, bizarre megaliths, and ruins of ancient palaces which may or may not include a maze that houses a terrible beast. It is a bit Sardinia, a bit Crete.
Said to have once housed the infamous witch Circe, the island has always had a reputation for being a strange place, in modern times even being called “the European Bermuda triangle”. Though until recently all of the weirdness in the island were merely minor oddities and rumours.
Since the local DWMA chapter was taken over by mad fanatics, the main characters will be assisted by a resistance member who used to rent out bungalows and apartments to tourists. The locations are now a bit run-down, but nothing a bit of love can’t fix.
♦ Incidents and Crisis
Outside of the main plot-line, the story will be mostly divided in incidents and crisis. Please mention what incident or crisis you are dealing with when making a post.
Incidents are plots that the players can pick to explore. These can include hunting a criminal, raiding an enemy base to give the resistance a foothold, investigating bizarre situations such as an entire village being turned into animals, explore the ruins of an ancient Greek temple and many other things. These can be tackled in simple weapon / meister duos or in groups.
Outside of the ones given by me or any other GM, players can create their own incidents, including controlling enemies if they wish, just needing a quick approval before playing it.
Crisis are incidents of a major scale that cannot be ignored, meaning all characters must acknowledge or react to it. In many cases these will be major changes in the status quo… but it can also include just the typical madness of the island acting up. A curse that forces everyone to use hats is technically a crisis.
These will be handled by the staff only, though players can suggest events.
♦ Secondary Characters and NPCs
Initially the players will make one character that will either be a Meister or a Weapon. Once the initial / introduction phase is over the options to create one or two secondary characters. These require less complex Character Sheets, and will (outside of resistance members) be initially Neutral or Hostile towards the DWMA students.
This way players can also take the roles of recurring villains, wildcards and allies, creating a diverse cast of characters outside of the ones I and any potential staff members make. Examples include: Witches Meisters and Weapons of the rogue group (unlike main characters, you can play both if you wish) Monsters Strong Souls Resistance Members (If a witch, weapon or meister you must add a curse to them) Or even things like fairies, provided they are a concept of the show or manga that can still exist in the world (So no Clowns)
Beyond that, players are free to make NPCs to enhance their play, be it local people, one-off enemies and whatnot.

"Oh, it seems we are almost there! Finally, hehe, my wings were getting tired."
