"Green finch and linnet bird, nightingale, blackbird, how is it you sing?"

Name:
Eva Schnee
Age:
19
Parents:
Snow White and Prince Charming (Florian/David/????)
Race:
Human

Shadow Animal:
An elegant black bird she has lovingly named Vogel. Normally visits during her dreams.
Wish:
Knowledge of the world and people around her, to strip her of her naivety so she may become a smart and brave individual.

Bio:
The first thing Eva could remember from her childhood was the dusty inn room. An oil lamp, a desk, and an uncomfortable bed where she would lay for days without doing anything, that was her entire memory of being a toddler. She was at least two years of age by then, and sometimes within the endless, dream-filled days, someone would come in to feed her, tell her a story, and then leave for the rest of the day. The person who came was a stout woman with a familiar yet brutal face named Mariette, and obviously Eva assumed this woman to be her mother. Her father was a man who very rarely entered the room, but Eva always remembered his face. He was thin, oh so thin, with a bird-like nose, black hair, and beady eyes. A greedy-looking man, named Vendal. He didn't seem to have the time to visit her like mother would (but, even then, mother only came once a day).

By the time Eva was old enough to walk she was put to work, with her present at the end of day being a story, but normally the stories were far from pleasant. Instead, they told Eva of the world outside of the walls of the inn, a world of fear and death and sadness, and her mother spoke of these things with a thin smile and hard eyes. Eva couldn't tell if they were told for her protection, or her mother's amusement, yet she couldn't help but be glad that her mother cared enough to talk to her. Even if she felt as though she couldn't trust those that are said to be trustworthy, she couldn't just run away...

Eva was basically a maid for the two inn keepers, and was constantly overworked and berated by both her parents and her customers. From the constant pokes and prods she gained a quickly anxious and unhinged mindset, and soon became prone to panic attacks so bad that she would faint from the very thought of meeting someone new. Yet despite this, she was still forced to work around and for people, and even when she begged for her mother to just give her cleaning-related jobs she was met with exasperated victim-blaming and extreme abuse which she just couldn't recognize at the time. From passive, demeaning comments about her looks, to full on beatings, Eva simply thought this was how all families acted.

The inn, despite its messy interior, was rather grand from the outside, and was surrounded by a wall of thick hedges. In the back was a well, a garden, and the smallest little burrow that lead out to the forest beyond the village. Whenever she felt alone, scared, or upset, she would retire to the garden, where she would sit by the well and sing out with her beautiful voice. She discovered at fifteen that when she sang she felt more at home then within the "safety" of the inn, and from her throat friends would swoop down from the sky or slip through the hole to listen to her woeful tunes. These small animals kept her company, and kept her happy even during the worst days.

By the time she was seventeen, she realized that these two people barely acted like parents to her, and when she questioned them she was only met with laughter and kind, yet firm hugs. Her eyes would drift to the families that would gather within the tavern below, though, to see happy smiles and love being shared between children and parents, and her life slowly began to melt to reveal the horror of those she thought she could trust. It suddenly became apparent that she just didn't know who she was, and even if she did belong with these two brutal people, and her innocence and anxiety was soon over shadowed by the pain in her heart that urged for her to journey out and find herself somewhere else. Yet she couldn't leave, not yet, so she feigned ignorance after her epiphany, and went back to her work, waiting, waiting for the perfect time to leave.

And then the black bird came, holding the dark parchment, and, well, how could she refuse?

Appearance:
The daughter of a beauty, Eva has gained many of her mother's attributes over the years. She is tall and fit, with thicker arms and legs that could be considered muscular, and has a rather elegant face. Her hair is as black as night, and her eyes are a clear green, and often filled with a naive innocence and fierce fire that might be unfamiliar to most. Eva, is prone to angry outbursts and day dreaming, and when she isn't out singing or working she is either pouting at a wall or staring into space. Normally dressed in loose, casual, work gowns, and is rather careless when it comes to how she looks.

Other:
- Prone to anxiety attacks when she overexerts herself in social situations
- Has a very beautiful singing voice.
- Somewhat ditzy

A woman with an almost unforgettable appearance, Kaya is tall, thin, and relatively pretty. Her skin rather dark, while at the same time appearing light, and is easily tanned during the warmer months. She has long, curly hair, large, heavily make-uped eyes, and an overall angular face. Due to her lack of eating and constant drug use, she is unhealthily thin, and is prone to nosebleeds and sudden dizzy spells. She weighs an uncomfortable 110lbs while standing at a tall 5'11, and has some muscle-mass thanks to her practice in pole-dancing and dancing in general. Her right arm is covered in black and white tattoos, and her nose is pierced. Is almost always wearing makeup, and she apparently looks very different without it.

NAME:
Kaya "Kitty Kat" Pyŏn
AGE:
21
GENDER:
Female
SEXUALITY:
Pansexual
ETHNICITY:
African/Asian American
ILLNESS(ES):
- HCV (Hepatitis C) [unknown]
- Hypotension (low-blood pressure)
- HIV Positive (AIDS)

SKILLS:
Thanks to her past as a Music major, Kaya is a gifted musician and singer, having preformed in many church choirs and shady underground clubs. She is gifted in playing the guitar, violin, viola, piano, flute, clarinet, and drums and has good control of her mezzo-range voice. She is well known for her musical skills thanks to the Life Cafe and the street corners she sometimes plays on.

Other than singing, Kaya also dances. And by dances, she of course means pole-dancing and stripping. Known as Kitty Kat by Blue Moon patrons, she seamlessly spins around that pole with out breaking a sweat, and constantly shows off her body to the "adoring" crowds below. Her signature move involves getting on her hands and knees and meowing like a cat, eyes narrowed with makeup and fake ears sat upon her head.

Makeup is another thing she does well. From hiding blemishes and changing face shapes to covering scars and needle marks, she can do it all. With some eyeliner and blush, Kaya can do it all. Aside from hiding her face, she can also hide her actions by lyin- er, acting. She relies heavily on her ability to act sweet and pure and innocent, despite being anything but. In fact, get a little too touchy and the street and she might punch your lights out. Thanks to her parents (before they supposedly ruined her life), Kaya had been taught countless martial arts and self-defense skills, though they didn't really spend enough time teaching her how to cook or clean.

JOB:
- Dancer at The Blue Moon: A popular, though somewhat underpaid stripper at the sleazy club, she is know as "Kitty Kat" by the patrons and is beloved for her ability to simply let it all our during some shows.
- Well-known Pianist and Singer at the Life Cafe: Though she isn't exactly paid for her work, Kaya goes to the Life Cafe on Tuesdays and Thursday to play a few songs and keep the atmosphere light and calm. She sometimes receives tips from the patrons.

PERSONALITY:
While on the surface Kaya appears sweet and friendly, often coming up to strangers with a wide smile and friendly tips, she is far from kind. With a biting wit, a sailor's mouth, and devilish eyes, Kaya is most likely approaching you with some kind of insult in mind. Rather mischievous and childish, she often pulls practical jokes towards those she deems worthy, and despite always getting caught she just can't stop making them, finding that even mundane attacks to be hilarious in some manner. Despite being somewhat of a social butterfly, Kaya has few close friends, finding that her mind simply has problems trusting people easily. Due to her cynical mindset, after her initial friendly greeting she will slowly grow more and more abrasive the longer the conversation goes on. This untrustworthy attitude only fades completely when she's drunk, and thanks to her party-obsessed body Kaya is almost always drunk or high by the end of the night. To those she is friends with, she is ridiculously loyal, and will stop at nothing to protect them.

Once a music student, Chris has a very clear understanding of how to play many instruments and how to sing, which is evident if someone finds her on a street corner, strumming a guitar for extra cash. Music seems to be the only thing that can make her smile, and she has countless songs that she loves to play when feeling alone or upset or sick. She dropped out of college at the age of nineteen, and isn't exactly the smartest person around, often relying on her ability to perceive a situation rather than exactly understanding the matter at hand. Hates politics, though she has a very open mind and will sometimes attend protests or rallies for things she finds important.

Thanks to growing up in a rough neighborhood, Kaya had once taken part in many fist fights and verbal arguments, and though she doesn't exactly have the strength to fight now a days she always remembers her mother's advice: "aim for the eyes!". With her strong eyes and sharp tongue, it doesn't seem as though Kaya would crack under pressure, though that assumption is very wrong. If too much stress is put on the skinny girl's shoulders she will easily snap and end up curled up in a shaking ball. Hiding her fears is something Kaya does very well, so when she finally lets everything spill out it is nearly unbearable.

Currently raising money for rehab, as she is having some trouble with her drug addiction and wishes to cleanse herself for her music.

A young, probably once feminine looking man, Kimbal is short, well-built, and always seems to have a large smile on his face. His skin is dark, and freckled heavily, showing mostly during times when he has decided to head outside. He has a square face, close-cropped black hair, and two different colored eyes (blue and brown) which always seem to have a sleepy feel to them. Standing at a short (for a man) 5'7 feet and weighing 190lbs, most won't find him as much as a threat in the street, but he is surprisingly strong and athletic. Has a tattoo of a music note on his left wrist, and his right ear is pierced.

NAME:
Kimbal Rodgers
AGE:
24
GENDER:
Trans* Man
SEXUALITY:
Bisexual
ETHNICITY:
African American
ILLNESS:
- HIV Positive (AIDS)
- Tendonitus (Wrists)

SKILLS:
Thanks to his wealthy parents, Kimbal was placed into a rather wealthy school, whee he spent many days of his school career reading and writing and studying. He was very gifted in most English classes, excelling in writing essays and short stories, though he struggled heavily in math and science. He was also gifted in over viewing and editing other pieces of writing, and had a knack for picking out fatal flaws in many essays.

In his high school, there was a very prominent theater program which dominated most of the school's funds. Kimbal was very interested in musical theater, and was always auditioning for roles with his impressive acting ability, though his lesser singing and dancing skills sometimes betrayed him in the end.

Other than acting and writing, Kimbal is rather good at housework and loves to cook and clean for Kaya and whoever else wants to appreciate his work whenever he can.

JOB:
Unemployed
- Street Performer: He makes some money by dancing or reading poetry to Kaya's drumming in street corners and sometimes venues.

PERSONALITY:
A kind, shy man, Kimbal is as sweet a guy as they come. Always donning a wide smile, even in dire times, he is someone that is comfortable to be around and easy to talk to. He is somewhat withheld with his words, often staying quiet in loud situations, and is honestly loudest when on stage, where he can act and sing to his heart's content. Kimbal is rather protective of his friends, often clinging close to them in an effort to shoo away any unwanted attention as well as keep then comfortable if needed. He absolutely loves others to death, and will at times worry more for then than himself.

A would-be theater major, Kimbal has a habit of reciting plays and monolouges during random moments of the day. He can often be found reading and editing playbills he found on the street or the old manuscripts that litter his apartment's walls and closests. His love for theater knows no bounds, and he appears to have the most fun on stage.

While he appreciates the protests on the streets below, he rarely takes part in them, rather he sits, waiting for Kaya to attend and return so he can ask how it all went. He finds it difficult to have an opinion on politics, though believes that the homeless issue needs to be dealt with delicately and the rights of homosexuals should not be ignored.

He is currently trying to help Kaya with her rehabilitation and lack of eating with some force and sometimes harsh words, but he honestly means well.

BRIEF BIO:
Once the daughter(son) of a rich family, Kim Rodgers grew up knowing he wasn't like other girls. He hated the dresses, the hairs, and felt more comfortable in pants and without all the bows and makeup. At the age of ten he told his parents of his feelings, and though they were hesitant, they brought him to therapy anyway, and the therapist confirmed Kim's woes. He was put on T when he was sixteen, all while tensions grew within his family, until finally, at the age of eighteen, he was kicked out of his home.

Without money for college nor a home, he wandered homeless for a year, making money by sleeping around and acting in impromptu stage shows, before meeting Kaya. At first, the two tried dating, but that didn't work out, so they simply moved in together as roommates in a rather rugged apartment on 11th Street. He was diagnosed with AIDS at the age of twenty-three, and is currently attending a group to help cope with his illness.

A rather pretty girl, Hazel is mostly known for her lovely red hair and her strange, mystical, and maybe even witchy eyes. She stands at about 5'10 and is thin and lanky, mostly due to her constant forgetfulness to eat and stay healthy. Her face is small and pale, and is heavily freckled, especially in the sunnier months. Hazel's lips are somewhat large and always curled into a pout, while her nose is small and rounded. Her eyes seem to be blue-green, and almost have a silvery appearance to them. She is rarely seen in anything too fancy, oft preferring sweats and sweaters over dresses and heels, and her hair is normally loose and messy around her face. She is very sensitive to make up and sunlight, and gets rashes and burns easily due to her pale, freckled skin.

Name:
Hazel "Red" Barwicke
Age:
16
Year:
Third Year
Normal or Supernatural:
Clairvoyant (Unaware) - Sees the future through reflective surfaces, more so TVs and computer screens, and hears whispers through phones and during her dreams. Most of her precognition are hard to decipher and rarely wrong, but she has learned to somewhat use them to her advantage, even if she just thinks of them as mere lucky streaks. Also spiritually sensitive, and can see ghosts and other supernatural phenomena.

Personality:
Hazel is a clever and quick-witted young woman, with a sharp tongue and a direct way of approaching things. She is not afraid to speak her mind and will more times then not fight for what she believes is right before truly thinking into it. Very curious towards things that seem strange and loves to go out and adventure whenever she gets a chance. Typically cynical of most people, she is overly polite and quiet around strangers, and at times even friends, unless they are doing something outright wrong or immoral in her eyes. If that is the case, then she will not hold back on insults or reprimands until she feels it is right to stop. Over all introverted, she is easy to talk to but looses energy easily if around too many people, and after parties or large excursions she normally allows herself a day or two alone to relax and recharge. Plagued by visions and voices when both asleep and awake, Ash rarely sleeps well, and is rather forgetful. There are many times when she has forgotten to eat or speak during her daily life, which leaves her family a bit worried for her well-being.

Absolutely loves poems, and has a rather clever mind. She could write music and lyrics for hours without stopping, and many times she has done exactly that. Easily stressed out, Hazel has trouble keeping calm at times, and if she gets too far into her panic she may suffer for anxiety attacks and other mildly worrying forms of panic. While she does her best to stay afloat in school, she can very quickly get discouraged if she is unable to do something as easily as she would like. Most of her stress is bore from her lack of sleep and her parents wish for her to keep doing well in school, and while some would say for her to simply take a break and nap it just isn't that easy. Excels in English and music classes, while she is relatively okay at math and science.

Around TVs, phones, and other tech-related devices she is rather nervous. Her powers usually seem to filter through the slender, hole-ridden telephones or smooth, black screens of televisions, more clearly then anywhere else, so when she is close to any sort of electric based item she may hear whispers, or see images of the past or future. Her powers also filter in through still water, windows, mirrors, and dreams, and are overall very dull and hard to see and understand. She is unaware that this is even a power, instead thinking of it as her remembering something odd, like deja vu. She also seems to be sensitive to supernatural forces, and can at times see white outlines of people, or ghosts, as others would call them.

Bio:
Hazel was born into a normal, Irish family. She was the first (and only) child, heavily spoiled, and loved unconditionally by her doctor mother and lawyer father. Of course, due to her parents being busy with their work, she was often alone in her childhood, and though she acted like she didn't mind it kind of got to her eventually, leaving her to be a very withdrawn child. As she grew, Hazel began to notice all the people who lived in her house with them, like the man with the rope around his neck, and the children who often jumped from the railings to the foyer below while giggling hysterically. Hazel often told her parents of these people, but they brushed her off gently, calling them her "imaginary friends". And she soon began to believe they imaginary as well eventually.

The first time she heard whispers of the future was when she was ten, and she was home alone playing with her dad's old guitar. The phone rang suddenly from the kitchen, the old white land line phone that had been broken for the passed three weeks, and Hazel answered with slight hesitance. On the other end, whispers, excited and certain, filtered through and filled her mind with images. She saw a cat, a bad test grade, and an unfamiliar, sobbing child. So surprised by these images, Hazel dropped the phone and fell back, yelling out in fear as the images took over her mind and caused a massive headache. She was bedridden for two days, and when she finally was able to walk and talk without getting a migraine and a nosebleed she returned to school. On her way, though, she was caught up by the most adorable, yet familiar looking cat. She spent a few minutes trying to coax it forward before continuing on her way. In her second period science class, there was a sudden quiz, which she didn't do too well on, receiving a low seventy as a grade, and during recess, the new kid was being harshly bullied. Hazel witnessed all of this, feeling such a heavy sense of deja vu that she almost felt sick.

These odd phenomena continued happening, well into her middle school and then high school life, though she merely brushed them off as sleep-deprived hallucinations/lucky guesses. She was eventually enrolled into the Northwood Academy, and she transferred in during her sophomore year of high school.

How would feel about a female fatale character? Someone to act as a attention grabber or something of the sorts?
