Okay so the site just posted my post twice??? Sorry about that.

EDIT:

Three... Three times.
A soft, unfamiliar sound escapes her lips as Pete floats upside down. A giggle, something she didn't normally do when she was awake. It felt... Natural. A faint smile painted her face, listening with interest as Pete wondered how Snow was handling the new boy, and then how they would "Initiate" him later on. The mischievous wink gave Ash a bad, yet intrigued feeling, and worry for the young man's well-being bubbles up inside her head but faded within a moment. Her body relaxed just a bit, stance loosening as her anxiety began to feel far off the more she spoke to the childish Petria. The bookshelves began to feel less tight, the constant feeling of selfish people surrounding them faded. Eventually she was in a state of pure bliss, and it showed clearly on her face, until Pete brought up telling a story.

A story.

Ashling had plenty, but not many asked for them. And those who did always ended up calling her mad. Though... Pete had a look of naiveté. Ash's forehead creased, but her smile widened, and she motioned towards one of the tables towards the center of the library. Once seated, her eyes brightened, hands folded neatly on the wood in front of her,

"Now, this is a story, well, a poem, I discovered a while ago... About a horrible beast and his slayer." She cleared her throat, making her face look dark and menacing to add to the mood:

"Beware the Jabberwock, my son!
The jaws that bite, the claws that catch!
Beware the Jubjub bird, and shun
The frumious Bandersnatch!"

Her story telling method was extravagant, her arm gestures wide as she painted the story out with only movements and the strange words. Many words were, of course, nonexistent to this world. Perhaps the words had a different meaning in the dream world, but Ash could never figure them out. For now, she just understood that the story was about slaying an awful beast.

"He took his vorpal sword in hand:
Long time the manxome foe he sought—
So rested he by the Tumtum tree,
And stood awhile in thought."

An invisible blade seemed to enter her hand, via story telling, and she swung it once or twice before continuing on with the story.

"And as in uffish thought he stood,
The Jabberwock, with eyes of flame,
Came whiffling through the tulgey wood,
And burbled as it came!"

Ash acted the part well, her high, accent voice seemed to go down three octaves as she tried to sound as frightening as possible. A mischievous smile appeared on her face as she let out a quiet 'raaaaar', and she almost broke character to chuckle at her own idiocy.

"One, two! One, two! and through and through
The vorpal blade went snicker-snack!
He left it dead, and with its head
He went galumphing back."

The invisible blade was swung, and then a triumphant look covered her face, hands on hips and chin high as if she had actually slain a beast. Perhaps she had gotten a bit too into the story, but either way she was enjoying it.

"And hast thou slain the Jabberwock?
Come to my arms, my beamish boy!
O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!"
He chortled in his joy."

And with a final nod, she ended the story. It had been shortened considerably (or not at all), due to the fact that Ashling had refused to try and speak the gibberish in the beginning and end of the silly poem. The heat of eyes on the back of her head slowly lowered her mood, and with a swift glance she saw the familiar cat-eye glare of Vapor. And then she heard a giggle from within the bookshelves. We're they laughing at her acting? Ash's shoulders slowly hunched and her head lowered, a pale pink flushing her face as she slowly began to realize how intense and strange she must have appeared. A sheepish smile appeared,

"Sorry... If that was weird."
(Bad site don't double post)
(Okay triple post pls stop)
That was crappy, I hate posting through my phone but I didn't wanna leave anyone hanging ;;
Following Pete through the winding guild was, surprisingly, kind of fun. It was nice to just explore with someone, she thought, as her journeys were normally spent alone. Constantly out of the corner if her eye she saw a flash of colorful fur, Vapor was keeping a close eye on them. With a slight sigh, she turned her eyes forward, ignoring the cat, keeping her expression blank. Eventually, they pushed through double doors and into a large, dusty smelling room. Ashling examined the library with wide eyes. It was rather impressing, chock full of different books in all different languages and styles, some leather bound and others just parchments covered in letters. She wandered up and down the aisles, letting Pete fly off on her own, and browsed the selection. There were plenty of fantasy books, fiction, non-fiction. A flew on alchemy and magic caught her eye, and she made a mental note for their names before continuing on. There was no sign of the pendant, and the more she failed to find it the more she began to grow bored of the task. Eventually, she returned to the entrance of the room, glancing about for her curly-haired acquaintance. There was a flash of red above her and Ash stared as Pete descended from the high shelves, a book in tow. A question was asked, and with a shrug and confused expression, but before she could voice her knowledge someone joined them. It was the pretty woman who ha been sitting at the desk in front. She introduced herself as Belle and gave a rather amusing answer to Pete's curiosity. Ashling nodded, stuttering out an introduction before the woman left to attend to some other issue,

"What a curious place." She thought out loud before turning back around to the shelves, hands skimming across the books. Another one on alchemy, huh, might as well waste some time. She pulled out the thick book and skimmed it, keeping one eye on Pete.

"There was a new boy in the Tavern, did you see? He looked like he was from the east!" It was small talk, but Ash had found she was running out of things to think about. The pendant was no where to be seen and honestly Ashling was beginning to get rather bored of the task.
Won't be able to make a post till this weekend (Friday or Saturday) so sorry to anyone waiting on me!
Puh, what a witch.

Nix pushed through the crowd, exiting the train and sucking in a deep breath. Fresh air entered her lungs, and a smile slipped from her mouth. Hogsmeade, home away from home. Lux curled his tail light across her shoulders, and with a quick glance and quiet giggle she stared walking towards the town. No use finding the two love birds, they'd be better off by themselves. Honestly, her attitude was in need of cooling anyway, and being around lovey dovey or rude people wasn't going to fix it. Perhaps a drink might quench her anger. Her mind set on the Three Broomsticks, with it's homey and cozy nature and kind people, it would certainly calm her down.

The air was warm, and the loud chit chat of witches and wizards filled her ears. Many students were heading towards the boats and walk ways to Hogwarts, some were lingering around Honeydukes and a few other social spots, and the familiar backs of her friends were seen wandering into the tea shop. Abelia resisted a groan and kept strolling.

"Abelia Nixus!"

An unfamiliar voice called for her attention, and she turned with slight stiffness, brown eyes wandering. A boy, younger then her, jogged over, and with a grin he stuck out his hand,

"Nice to meet ya! I heard your great on the field!"

Oh, Gryffondor fanboy. She feigned a friendly smile, masking her agitated attitude and shook his hand. They spoke a bit, and the boy (named Alexus) mentioned that he wanted to join the team this year. Nix told him a few uplifting things about playing Quidditch and then left with a small wave and grin. The exchange gave her an idea about getting friendly with other people, but... She sulked, a frown covering her face once again. Emillia and Lus, they were great, but she felt the distance. Just last year they were heading to the Inn together, and now...

Whatever.
Warmth swelled from the bar and inn, and the smell of great food and alcohol made Nixus' stomach growl. She slipped inside quietly and took a seat at the bar, curtly ordering a butterbeer.
Sorry if that post was really long I was just super inspired.
"Medium chamomile tea with lemon, please."

The whirl of a foam machine and chatter of an afternoon rush filled Alice's brain with calmness and emptiness, but her body worked like a robot at the request. Sweet smelling packs of dried flowers and leaves were steeped in a decently sized Styrofoam, lemon squeezed until it no longer produced juice. The cup was then covered and slid to another person. Return to post, listen, repeat. Over and over and over until only a few sitting patrons were left. A soft murmur of relief that the mad rush was over and done with came from behind her, and then a pat on the back.

Ow.

Alice flinched away from the pat, eyes turning around to face her co-working, a lanky boy covered in piercings named Peter. He gave a sheepish grin, holding his hand as if he had touched a flame,

"Sorry, did I hit you too hard?" he asked, eye brows turn up in worry. Alice straightened and gave a reassuring grin, one hand draped over her shoulder,

"Nah, I've just been really achey recently. Maybe it's bruised?" her voice held an air of calmness, and she soon released her back and stretched, keeping her face emotionless as a wave of pain rippled across her skin. Peter nodded slowly as if accepting her answer, then turned towards the counter, staring out at rather cozy cafe which they called their job. Alice's eyes drifted over eash detail, relishing in the cafe's cuteness and utter paint-a-bility. It was a corner shop, with the counter and kitchen being the center piece of the joint while chairs, tables, and booths covered the outer layer. An outdoor area with three small tables covered by rather ornate red and orange umbrellas sat just out of the way of the rushing streams of city-walkers. The whole place had a warm feel, perhaps the color-scheme was the reason. Reds, oranges, and browns were rather warm colors, after all.

"Anyway, doesn't your shift end soon?" Peter asked, rolling the piercing in his eyebrow around casually. Alice glanced down at her smart phone to check the time. Four-thirty.

"I get off at five, why're you asking?" she questioned, leaning against the counter's edge, green eyes gleaming. He shrugged, smirking,

"I just hate Megan is all, worst co-worker ever."

"That's so rude! I might tell her how you feel next time I see her~." Peter gasped, feigning fear before giggling and giving Alice a little shove. Pain sprung from where she had rested her back and she failed to hide her flinch again. Peter held up both hands in an 'I'm sorry' pose,

"Sorry, I fo-"

Chimes.

Alice turned, putting on her working smile,

"Hello, welcome to the Corner Cafe..."
Alice slipped out the back entrance, bracing herself against the chilling wind. The sky was overcast, the threat of rain growing with each distant rumble. She zipped up her loose hoodie and moved forward through the back alley, journeying passed the trash into the city air. Cars and people filled her vision, and dull pop music filled her ears as she moved in sync with the crowd around her, zoning out once again. Step, step, step. Chatter, white noise. Pain, faint but unchanging. Fresh air, honking,

"Miss!"

Alice lurched backwards, just as a car zoomed passed, nearly hitting her. The crowd of people had stopped, staring blankly as the nearly-hit girl blinked stupidly before slowly returning to the curb. Her face was a deep red, embarrassment evident in her posture. 'Stop zoning out, Alice!' she scolded herself. Alice always found herself zoning out, but recently it had been very bad. Perhaps her back was the reason for that too? Her eyes drifted towards the stop light, and when it turned red she began traveling with the crowd again.

Two blocks later, she was at her apartment building. It was tucked away between two other seemingly vacant buildings. Graffiti was common (and she may be the cause for some of it) and trash littered the curb. It wasn't exactly luxurious, but it was home. Alice slowly made her way to the fifth floor, keeping a cautious eye behind her until she was safely behind a locked door.

"Rubbbiiixx~!" her voice echoed through the small two room apartment, and a meow responded, coming from the main room. Alice allowed the bag slung over her shoulder to fall to the floor, and after kicking off her sneakers she tiptoed down the wooden-floored hall and into the living room/kitchen/computer room/dining room. A black cat perks up from behind one of the couch pillows and purrs loudly at the sight of the tall girl, who in return hops over and gives him a little peck on the head. Alice grins before rolling over the arm of the couch onto the cushions, wincing as her back hit the pillows. Sure, the place was small, but it was quaint, had wifi, and was kept relatively warm during the colder seasons. It was perfect, though a bit lonely, but Rubix was there for that. Alice slowly slipped her phone from her pocket, and instead of checking the fifty messages from her folks she lazily surfed the web until she ended up on a rather small forum.

Apparently it was full of people from this city, and Alice checked it out every now and then when she was bored. One post caught her eye, made by a certain KeyserS0ze. A smirk pierced her bored face at the sight of a corgi being called a "doom-beast", no idea on how to respond, though, so she decided to move on through the site until her eyelids began to droop and sleepiness took hold of her mind. She had plans to go out later with a few friends, but a nap wouldn't do any harm, after all... And soon, everything was black.
