Ironically the Maoist isn't making a communist faction. Also I'd be okay with some form of split in Cascadia if the other guy who wanted the area is willing to cooperate with the history.
Very much so a work in progress, just posting it so I can close the tab and restart my desktop (oops)

EDIT - App more or less finished, may edit for more detail later but this is about what I wanted.

I'm considering a Cascadia sort of thing, if no one else is jumping for that land of course. Otherwise I'll figure something out.
I'm super late but I figured as someone who only uses NRP, I'd drop in and give my cents on the issues there.

For starters, in my opinon, NRP is dead not in terms of active users but in terms of creativity. NRP consistently has like 2-3 RPs that are more or less identical sci-fi and or fantasy worlds with almost nothing making them unique from each other. It's become a niche community of users who consistently repeat themselves. I feel merging with Advanced or something similar would introduce new blood and ideas for NRP and possibly revive the long dulled section I love.

In addition I have a lot of qualms with the way NRPs are conducted now. More often than not they are almost indistinguishable from Advanced RPs. It's hardly even nations so much as it is characters who sort of lead groups. The original vibe of NRP, at her launch, was a written form game of diplomacy or risk with players actually roleplaying their nation, not 4 different OCs who live in that nation. With such a character focus you might as well not make it a Nation RP since all you've done is create a political/military Advanced RP.

Now I"m not the sole representative of the section. In fact due to my negative feelings about how it operates I join maybe one RP every few months; but I do feel the section I spend most of my time in needs to change, otherwise it'll just keep getting smaller and smaller until it's truly worthless. On issues involving the other parts of the forum or how the forum is moderated I can say little, since I rarely go beyond NRP or really ever deal with the mods/administrators to really have an opinion.
Sounds interesting, reserving a spot if this picks up.
I've always had a soft spot for Medicine since I really do love shoegaze and they were the American cultural answer to My Bloody Valentine in a way. Time Baby III is, of course, a pretty famous track for being in The Crow (good movie too fyi) and I'd be willing to say it deserves the popularity. Unfortunately Medicine never really went anywhere big despite their decent sound. 7/10.

Hey should probably drop in and say I'm having to drop out for now. Due to withstanding circumstances I really can't post frequently. I'm really sorry if this messes anything up, I just didn't want to leave everyone hanging on.
Ah man now I feel bad... Poor Elves, I just wanted to be orcy and all I feel is guilt.
The Bonesnapper Tribe

Nagrub's warband began their wild hunt in the early hours of the morning. Throughout the night scouting parties reported in roars and guttural screams of 'elf boyz' in the trees and shadows, but all investigations led the orcs nowhere. At last, a believable sighting occurred. With Nagrub's own beady red eyes he watched an elven scout, his short blue cape and blonde hair flowing as he ran across a small crossing in the river. With a roar, Nagrub raised his great choppa and called on his boyz to chase after the elf. With chants of "'ere we go" and animalistic roars the greentide of forty or more orcs began making the crossing over the river. Of course, there was no organization in an orcish crossing, and more than one boy would fall over his comrades and be cast into the cold water.

It was only when the first orc had made it across did Nagrub realize what was happening... As the first boy made it to shore and began marching up the embankment, a long white wooden arrow pierced his makeshift armor, and then another through his left eye.

This was a trap.

Elves appeared all along their side of the river, arrows ready, and began firing into the massed orcs. With increased fervour and rage, the orcs sped up their crossing in a rush to kill their ambushers. Stepping over wet, cold, greenskin bodies more and more orcs charged up the embankment, Nagrub included. Swinging his great weapon with unseen rage the Orc Warlord cared not if he struck elf or orc, there would be blood for attempting such unorcy tactics against a warlord as great as he. Thus, the clash began.

Choppas met makeshift spears and elven shortblades, and it was evident that in close combat the victor would inevitably be the orcs. The wooden spears of the elves snapped on impact with orcish axes; however, the elves had the advantage of continued arrow fire from more ambushers in the distance. The elves immediately began to focus their fire onto the biggest and most armored of the orcs, Nagrub himself, though many of their bolts would not pierce his iron armor. In one hand, his great choppa, in the other Nagrub grabbed hold of the nearest non-green body he could find. The elf was pathetic, his eyes wide with fear and his teeth grit in pain as Nagrub effortlessly snapped the helpless boy's neck between his brutish hands. He tossed the limp body towards his former comrades and continued the charge, however, with the death of this elf it seemed many of his compatriots had suddenly began to lose faith. It was in that moment that Nagrub realized, he had just killed the leader of this ambush. Was it the leader of this entire little tribe? He was not sure, but was quickly as the battle had begun it was over. Along the river bank twenty or more orcs lay dead, their bodies bleeding and arrows protruding from all sides, and ten or so elves, including the commander of this little attack. Perhaps not a victory in numbers, this was a victory none the less. Raising his great choppa Nagrub roared, and his remaining boyz roared with him. The bodies of the dead elves, and some orcs, were taken for eating on the long road back to Iron Rock. Nagrub was not sure if the elf he had slain was their leader, or if there were more where they had come from. All the Warlord knew was he went west for a fight, and a fight he had. He could safely return to his camp and show his boyz his might as he added new skulls to his banners and more snapped bones to his talismans. The point he wished to make to the elves and his boyz had now been made.

"Orcz are da biggest an' da strongest."

C) Improve infrastructure

Back at Iron Rock things remained relatively quiet. The Greenseer continued his ever holy works in the name of the orcish pantheon and the remaining boyz kept to work prospecting the lands. However, a new 'vision' came to Wurtag, and in the early hours his lesser shamans beat the drums and the camp encircled the Greenseer's great hut. Waving his 'magickz stik' Wurtag began proselytizing to his fellow greenskins of his vision. While they worked to prospect the land and breed the livestock, the gods were unhappy with the lack of effort their followers had put into their camp itself. Certainly there were enough spiky bones and protruding metal, but there lacked 'struktur' as Wurtag called it. What that word meant, not even Wurtag really knew, but after banging some heads and threatening to 'blast ya boyz wit me spellz' the orcs went right to work with... Whatever it exactly was Wurtag had demanded of them.

The Bonesnapper Tribe

The Orcs had followed the stench of elf along the river for well over an hour, but eventually the smell faded and the warband was left without a direction. Standing in an open clearing not far from the eastern bank of the river, Nagrub roared his boyz to attention.

"Boyz! We'z makin' camp. If those elf boyz are usin' the river then dat means they ain't far. But I'm not's walkin' into a trap, and where there'z one elf boy there's a whole lot of the gits. I want some boyz out scoutin' ahead, smell for that magickz blood. The rest of you gits get to work settin' up camp. We start huntin' at dawn."

To make his point clear, the warlord gave a mighty stomp and slammed his choppa into the earth. With a loud thud the crude iron blade cut the ground below it and the boyz surrounding the Warlord scrambled back in anticipation of Nagrub's wrath. Shortly afterward, the boyz went right to work establishing a base camp and 'organizing' scouting parties into the woodlands around them. However, how long they could search was a mystery, as the sun was already beginning to set into the west... One thing was for certain though, come sunrise, Nagrub would begin the orcish tradition of a war hunt, and no man, beast, or elf would be safe from the bloody thirsty boyz.

G) Prospect the Land

At first Wurtag had simply written, whatever that word meant, off his fellow orc's statements of lights in the east. Orcs were dumb, especially those who did not see or hear the will of the orcish gods of war. However, in the early evening one night Wurtag saw them for himself... Far off in the distance, just within the sight of his beady red eyes... Light... Fire. Could it be fellow orcs? Or perhaps some of those short gits with the big beards, or maybe the tasty humies that used to run their caravans in the far south. Regardless, one thing was certain, there was life.

This realization brought more questions than answers for the Greenseer, and he began to think. If there was resources and a food source upon those great peaks... What of the very hill the boyz sat on? Stepping from his tent and ordering his apprentices to bang upon the drum of the rock, Wurtag demanded the attention of Iron Rock's folk. Raising his 'magick stik' he spoke to his fellow greenskins of an idea placed in his mind by none other than Grobsnar, the God of 'Finkin an' Tinkerin', and the orcish god told him of shiny things right below their very feet. These shiny things could be used to forge new buildings, better choppas, and make very shiny spikes. Of course, in the back of his rather small orcish brain the Shaman couldn't help but envision himself embroiled in robes and plate of 'shiny' that would demand the respect and attention of his greenskin tribesmen...
