The conversations were cut short with the thud of the door being kicked open. The old doors slam against the walls, permanently indenting them into the wall. The door opened up to a large open room. To the left and right was a single line of pillars leading all the way across the room to the other side. There were no candles but somehow the room was lit with enough light to see across to the other side. Roughly 6 corridors led into the room. It was then that the group could notice that this wasn't just some room, but a battlefield. A good portion of the pillars was either destroyed or broken. Bodies of undead lay all across the room. The bodies being destroyed and some leaving no trail at all just ashes. "What happened here?" Sampson questioned to himself as he made his way inside. He went to go examine the bodies as a voice called out from the other side. "Captain?!" 2 Apostle knights stood on the other side of the room. Their clothes covered and dark soot and ash. The 2 had obviously been in an intense power struggle, but when and for how long? Sampson slowly made his way over to them with Jack sticking close behind him now.

"Well aren't you a sight. I was starting to fear the worse. The captain responded. The knights sheathed their weapons making their way towards the group. "Aye. Its good to see you, captain. We've been locked in a battle with these creatures for days now. We sent Jackson for reinforcements. Looks like he made it in time." Sampson shook his head towards the soldier. "I'm afraid not. The King instructed us to come here. When we arrived, Jackson had barely made it out alive. He must have been ambushed by those things. Whats going on here?" The soldiers looked in dismay to the news the captain spoke. "Shame to hear it. Almost 3 days ago the Champion instructed us to return here from the 4th floor. He said something wasn't right and we should investigate. He dispatched 5 of us here. When we arrived this place was filled with wraiths. They were no big deal but they kept coming and coming. They wouldn't stop. They dragged Kyle off somewhere to do god knows what to him. When we finally got a break we sent Jackson for help. Zanzibar died covering his escape." He pointed over to a corpse in the corner that was badly mutilated.

Sampson put his hand on the soldiers shoulder. "Do not fret. We are here to put an end to this madness." He handed the 2 soldiers each a potion. "Where is my brotha?" The soldiers quickly drank the potions recovering most of their strength. If you take the corridor all the way down, look for the Kings Seal. There's a hidden passage that will take you to the 4th floor. He shouldn't be too far from there." Sampson nodded turning to see what the remainder of the group had been doing. Just then the sound of scratching could be heard coming from one of the corridors. The sound growing louder and louder as it begins to draw closer to the room.
Speed is only a single factor in what happened. Reaction was the main factor.

Every character pretty much reacted the same. Each one of them threw themselves into combat without a second thought. The only one of you that didn't was Rio. He watched his teammates moves and acted accordingly. In this situation Arwyn assumed that Arton would hold the monster back instead of destroy it. In a situation with where everything was going bad, Rio showed the perception to notice. And in this RP, everything can and will go bad. Luckily this time things worked out. From an outsiders perspective though, it looked perfectly coordinated

@Pseudo Stygian I know posting is difficult for you sometimes. At the end of the day tomorrow I'll make a post. Whenever you can, you can make a catch up post.
This sounds amazing. Die hard bleach fan you can count me in

The party found themselves engage in battle against some undead. Arton engages the one with an axe, proving that his shield was much stronger than the monsters axe. Upon contact with the shield, the axe blade broke off flying high through the sky. This caused the undead to reel back in shock leaving an opening for Arton to attack. The blade quickly and easily sliced through the ragged bones of the undead leading up to its arm that seemed to explode into dust upon contact with the blade. With a strong kick, Arton knocks the creature back with ease just as a fire arrow whizzes past them. The undead slides across the ground a few feet away, its clunky armor breaking off its body as it hits the floor. Before a final blow could be struck, the previously broken axe head crashes down into the skull of the monster finishing it off.

Meanwhile Sampson watches over Jack. After his little outburst, he fell to the ground drained of energy. He stood slowly shaking off his wooziness. "Its ok. This always happens." The kid said with a smile. He slides the book back into the compartment on his side as he turned his attention back to the undead and back to the battle at hand.

Rio engages the last undead, bobbing through its strikes and dodging all of its attacks. Arwyn gets to a good vantage point and charges a fire arrow aimed at the undead that was fighting Arton. Rio was obviously more skilled than the creature and this showed in the movements that followed. After dodging all of the attacks, Rio would grab hold of the undead. Just at the same time, Arwyn's arrow was charged and ready to destroy. Almost as if perfectly coordinated, Arton finishes the undead with style not noticing the arrow coming forth and heading towards Rio. Rio, who notices the fire spiral heading towards him, pushes the undead directly towards it. The undead screeches as the arrow penetrate the helmet of the wraith and burn him to a cinder. From the ashes of everything a few gold pieces could be found but no salvageable gold or items.

After a brief moment of letting the other members move across the battlefield and speak, Sampson would call for everyone to gather at the entrance. Once there he spoke. "You all did well out there. Very good indeed. Inside we will likely face the same manner of monster. Use that same teamwork and maybe you lot might just get out alive." The knight would say before turning his back to the group and disappearing into the dark hallways of the dungeon. Meanwhile the boy Jack waited and lingered around Nanda. There was no danger so it was safe for the boy to do as he wished. After studying her a bit he spoke with a curious look on his face. "Uhm....Nanda? That's your name right?" The boy would say with a fascinated smile. Before she could respond he would continue. "And..You're a princess?...Right?.." The boy would continue truly fascinated. He was even more different than his glowy eyed state. Like they were 2 different people. "I've never met a princess before. My names Jack!" The boy would say jumping up and down hyperly.

The walls of the dungeon were small, only being 2 men wide. The walls themselves were covered in dirt and blood from the wounded soldier. He bled a long way down the halls. Finally, the group was led out to a stairway leading down and a door right in front of them.
Glad to see everyone has gotten a chance to post this round. Ill have the next one up soon

The undead charged forward towards the entrance of the dungeon. They were first met by arrows that seemed to disintegrate into nothing upon making contact with the monsters. While Sampson accompanied the soldiers back to the carpet, Jack seemed to move in closer towards the entrance unsuspected. He pulled out a book that began to shine and make his eyes shine. "I just need to get a closer look..." The boy whispered creeping up behind Arton just as the monsters made contact with his shield. Artons defense was built to withstand even such a charge from the first undead as he holds his ground not budging an inch. As the second one impacts, the force increases. By the third one, Arton could be seen slightly getting pushed back. As Arton attacked back at the wraiths, the first would raise its arm to guard. However, this was a hopeless attempt as its arm was completely destroyed. From the side of the monsters, Rio charged in landing a critical blow on all of them. The wraith in the front taking majority of the damage. The first wraith was reduced to nothing but ashes as the other 2 scatter. One to the Left and one to the right. Just then Jack spoke, now appearing at Sampson's side. "These are Undead soldiers. They have magic resistance. USE FIRE!!! The boys' voice appeared to be strong and omnipotent, a complete change from the child that once spoke.

Battle Calculations
{Arwyns attack has no effect}
{Arton Deals 25 Damage to Undead 1}
{Rio Deals 80 Damage to Undead 1, 40 Damage to Wraith 2 & 3}
{Undead 1 Destroyed}
{Rio Looses Quarter Stamina}

Undead 2: The monster slides to the right after suffering some damage from Rio's attack. After a unified screech with the other undead, it turns its sights to Arton. This soldier was carrying a large ax, however, any former skills the person possessed with the weapon was now gone. Its stance was sloppy and its movements were more than slow, its will remained unchanged. It charged once more towards Arton, this time lifting its ax and dropping it down with all its undead might.
HP: 60

Undead 3: The undead rolls off to the right, in the same direction as Rio. This one seems to be holding a grudge from the attack earlier. This monster carried no weapon and yet it still charged reeling forward towards Rio. It releases a barrage of slow and sluggish punches towards him.

In Arwyn’s specific case here it would (Strength 4 + Weapon Power 3) = 7 Damage per successful attack then?

Will targeting their legs inflict any sort of status effect for the attack? Or would Arwen have to use an Ice arrow or something similar to deliberately cause any such effect?

Since she can vary the strength of her arrows, would it be possible for her to channel all her mana at once for a 53 Damage Attack, which would then leave her totally drained for a few turns afterward?

It is possible to put more MP into the arrow to increase its damage. Mana Drain works similar to stamina drain so after you'd run out you'd be somewhat exhausted. I don't wanna answer this question too much because it will spoil some details that have not yet been revealed IC, however, attacking an opponent in the legs can cause some form of paralysis or make the limb useless altogether. Same with attacking the arms, you can disarm someone's weapon attacking that way.
How many medium stamina consuming abilities can I use before I get close to getting winded?

There are a lot of variables being calculated when it comes to exhaustion. Ill keep track of stamina starting in my next post. You will get at least a one post warning before you reach exhaust.

In that case I'll make it one Standard arrow to a knee for each of the three Undead Soldiers currently in sight.

Since we regenerate 10 points per post, and she's only looking to inconvenience the targets rather than kill them outright as well as aiming for quick firing rather than long charged shots, Arwyn will only channel 3 points of mana per shot, draining her of a total of 9 mana for this round of firing which will immediately regenerate again keeping her on 50 total MP.

Would that make her attack damage (Strength 4 x Weapon Power 3) = 12 Damage per successful attack? Or is it just Weapon Power 3 = 3 Damage per successful attack?

Once she sees how well, or how poorly, the attacks work the shadowbow will be able to tailor the strength of her shots appropriately. No need to drain herself completely with an opening barrage if only the bare minimum is needed to halt the creatures' advance.

Normally it would be weapon damage + strength = attack damage. Then defense/resistance - attack damage =damage dealt.

If a creature has a resistance to magic or physical ofcourse damage will go down just like if you aim for the head, damage will go up. So theres a few variables.

Ah, yeah, I'm gonna have to wait for some clarification on how stats affect damage too. Nanda gonna buff somebody but I got no idea which stat would best suit whatever she's intending to do.

Like, is Strength exclusively for deciding the things they can carry, or does that affect physical attack damage too? How about speed? If say, Arton was defending himself against the undead with his shield, would that be in any way affected by his Endurance or his Vitality?

Strength helps with damage but ultimately, the attack of the weapon is gonna be the most damage. Increasing strength would also increase damage. In Artons situation, strength will determine how well he can hold them back and endurance will determine how long he can hold them back. Vitality will determine how many blows he can take whole he holds them back. Speed however wouldn't be a factor for this type of action.
@Champion With a Speed of 8 compared to the Undead Soldiers’ 1, how many arrows would Arwen be allowed to fire before she’d have to fall back, or switch to melee weapons?

If your talking from the soldiers to the entrance, id say you'd be able to knock and release 2 times. But considering your bow generates the arrow itself, you'd be able to knock and release 4 times depending on how many arrows you fire each time.
