Hey, Marrianne is at the tomb, so there's plot AND "plot" there
The princess thing is kinda just filler right now. If you want to do things, the plot is in the mausoleum.
So, I'm not sure how people view the Iron Roses right now. On the one hand, they're an old and powerful religious figure with a storied past, just saved the life of the crown princess, and are in the process of wiping out a plague of lesser undead before it spreads.

On the other hand, there have been at least twelve seperate cases of sexually harassment tonight, several yelling matches, quite a few cases of physical abuse, and lesser all around embarrassment from the whole cast.
I prefer magical replacements. I have a golemancer around who replaced her arm with a stone replica, then animated it.
Watching the darkness outside the window for any sign of movement, Christina spared an occasional glance to the events inside the room. She felt bad for the court mage, after the way she had treated her and now her new humiliation. She had no personal reason to hate the woman, but the tension of the night had forced her old anger to the surface, and the mage was the first person who had offered an opportunity to relieve that. It wasn't fair, and she decided she would apologize to her once this mess was done with.

For now, she kept her distance, keeping one ear out for any signs of danger and the other open to the conversation in the room. The old man apparently had 'stories' to tell, and Christina was interested in spite of herself. She hadn't missed seeing his gaze linger on her and the other women, but that sort of thing didn't bother her. What interested her was that this man was obviously skilled, and listening to him might be important.
Status update from Suku. She's dealing with some life problems right now, so she'll be gone for a few more days.
crossbow bolts bounce off of metal, not sink into.
Remember that this is also combat magic, designed specifically to kill knights in full armor. I doubt they'd overlook something like power output.

Technically it is a conductor in parallel with a human body. And when resistance on the conductor is zero compared to the human body, it'll go through there instead of the human body.

The insulator part is there to ensure it goes through the conductor, and the metal isn't directly into touch with the human body neither... armors do have PADDING, which has AIR, an insulator.

The body isn't hermetically sealed in the padding. There are plenty of places in the armor where it directly contacts the skin. I'm not saying that the majority of the energy might not pass through, but when you're talking about a bolt of lightning, even a fraction of it's power can be severely damaging. The steel can only conduct so much electricity before it starts to flow over.
Lack of resistance has less to do with how much the metal is touching itself and more to do with how conductive the metal is compared to the human body. In order for the electricity to completely ignore the human body when in contact with another conductor, it would have to be an insulator, which it most certainly is not.
