Name: Ana Bell
Age: 26
Gender: Female
Religion: Taoist
Sexuality: Bisexual
Occupation: Tai Chi Instructor
Abilities

Ana is well versed in Martial Tai Chi and is very good at cleaning, cooking and organizing. She speaks Mandarin Chinese fluently, and has a near photographic memory.

Faults

Ana is terrible with technology, and is plagued with OCD.

Power

Puppetry - The power to bind any nonliving material to a part of her body, so that when her body moves, the material does too.

Personality

Ana is very calm, following her beliefs by allowing the universe to flow around her despite her OCD. She trusts that everything is always as it should be, whether or not she interferes, and so it takes a strong push for her to be compelled to action.

History

For the first half of her life, Ana was nearly strangled by her OCD. Her need for everything to be controlled and predictable kept her from forming any sort of relationship with anybody and eventually caused her to retreat into herself. It wasn't until another social outcast, a first generation immigrant by the name of Ling, and her only friend, talked to her about studying the Tao that she made any headway against her disorder. The idea of Tao instantly clicked for Ana, and now instead of retreating into herself when her mind became overrun, she could fall back on her new teachings to give her strength. Eventually, the natural progression of her studies led to her dedicating herself to the mastery of Tai Chi, and she barely took any time for a social life. Still, she was happy, and although she still feels the impulse to keep everything organized, it no longer dictates her life.
@thewizardguy

absolutely. They keep your face secret, they keep your lungs poison free, your eyes dust free, AND who ever heard of a Postapocalyptia without gasmasks?
Gas mask buddies
that's fine, but Lawrence wears a gas mask outside the Statue
@Sanctus Spooki

well their Credo is there on the bottom of the blurb, so that should tell you some of that. The HQ is in the Statue of Liberty like a boss, and there's a small settlement set up around the base of the Statue. Beyond that, settlements are typically small like Pengu said. The large "city" settlements are probably 30-40 people, since the world population is in the thousands. The Guard tries to cover all of New York, but the farther you get from HQ, the harder that is, so most of the safe settlements and outposts will be around there.
I've put up the majority of my CS, just hoping I could get a bit more info about the Town Guard and if theres any major settlements?

I'm here if you want to ask questions
It didn't take a leap of logic to realize that Lucy was trying to buy time and gather intel. Grace would almost be impressed, if she wasn't also putting her own life at risk doing so. Still, she was never one to waste an opportunity, so as Lucy kept Jace talking, she was moving her toys into position.

"It was nice meeting you Jace."

That was her queue. At her command, a mid sized spider bot leaped from the ground and wrapped around Jace's ankle, simultaneously trying to spear him with a syringe and releasing a hefty charge of electricity into his body. Whether or not either method worked, this was probably the best she could do without collateral damage.

"Lucy, run!" Grace's voice came from a cellphone left lying on the ground during the attack. Whatever happened now, Jace was going to be pissed off, and she didn't believe for a second that he would stay down. Luckily, her intent wasn't permanent damage, and her goal had already been fulfilled now as data started rolling into her screen.
Grace waited for a bit after the phone picked up, expecting some form of greeting. When none came, she shrugged it off and plowed ahead anyway. I expected her to be more social. Actually, I suppose that was a bit creepy, what with the message and all.

"Lucy," Grace's distorted voice said from the other end of the line, "I assume that by now, you've noticed the recent string of murders happening around Atlanta. I don't usually talk to strangers, but right now you are my best chance to stop this monster. I have a name, a face, a car and previous residence. You can call down lightning and windstorms. I propose we work together to stop him."
It wasn't the best pitch, she knew, but to be fair she wasn't really a 'people person'. She usually left the talking to whoever she was paired with at the time, but with Lauren dead she had to go by the seat of her pants.

Speaking of working with people...

Grace muted her end of the phone line and reentered a chatroom she had left when the newsfeed had distracted her. "Tony I swear to god, if you fuck this up I will string you up by your toes." She had been planning this raid for weeks now, and everything was going smoothly. She wasn't about to scrap it because this kid couldn't keep himself in line.
