Allysse waved goodbye to Vesania with a warm smile. She was sad to see her go, but thankful that she took time out of her day to help her in the first place. Refocusing on getting settled in to her room, Allysse scanned the lobby of the inn, taking in the unfamiliar decor. Suddenly, the realization hit that she was in another country and had a chance at a fresh start, and this filled her with excitement.

Imagining her hopes for the future, she walked towards the stairs. She then heard sounds of commotion from upstairs - someone knocking ridiculously loudly, some thuds, and then a giant crash. And then, like clockwork, a group of guards entered the inn and stormed their way upstairs. Allysse pressed her back to the wall to give them room, and to avoid the watery mess they were tracking into the building. Allysse followed up the stairs behind the last guard quickly, already dreading what she might find. At her new vantage point, she could see and smell pools of blood, and a character in armour that began speaking to the guards in a thick, almost unintelligible accent.

Feelings of fear began to overcome her body, her heart beating quickly as she took in the scene. Although she knew she was overstepping boundaries by poking her nose in business that didn't concern her, the fear had her locked in place. Only her eyes could dart rapidly from place to place, and with her imagination kicking in about what caused the loud sounds and why so many guards were required, sweat dripped from her forehead.

After entering the inn, Allysse looked behind her to see if Vesania had followed. She was surprised to see Vesania was completely dry. Allysse wasn't soaked herself, but her hair and clothes were thoroughly dampened. "Wow, you got lucky, huh? You're dry as a bone," she chuckled. Just then, a man in fancy armour walked into the inn. Even though the innkeeper had addressed her first, the man went in front of her and got a room for himself. Allysse was a bit taken aback, but waited for him to finish and then talked to the innkeeper and got a room for herself.

Wielding her room key, she turned to Vesania and said, "You should probably be heading home right? I mean, I wouldn't mind staying in your company for longer, but I figured you must have other stuff to do and I'm just sucking up your time."

Allysse was disturbed by the large woman mouthing something to her from afar. What prevented her from being scared of the woman, however, was the fact that she even existed; Allysse was still in disbelief. As she turned to look at Vesania, she jumped at the sudden ringing of the church's bell. Turning her attention to the bell tower, she saw a horrific scene: a poor woman hanging, a bloody message on the tower, and blood spraying and raining down upon chaotic and frantic citizens.

In that moment, Allysse tried to make sense of the message, but she couldn't. The combination of the loud bell and people's screams disoriented her. She felt bile rising in her throat and quickly looked away from the tower to observe the citizens instead. After watching the commotion for a few seconds and catching her breath, she yelled to Vesania "let's go!" and started jogging toward the inn. She figured she would rent a room, wait until things died down outside, and maybe say her goodbyes to Vesania. As she pushed her way through the crowd, she was baffled by how this day was turning more and more into a nightmare.

"Yes, I'll be looking to live here. And my name's Allysse," she replied to Vesania. "It's nice to meet you. Also, if you're not too busy, could you give me a brief layout of the town? I need to exchange money and eat, first and foremost, so that'd be really helpful if you could." She gave an awkward smile to Vesania.

Just then, a violently horrid stench assaulted Allysse's nose, and she turned to see a gigantic, disgusting woman-thing coming off the ship. She quickly pinched her nose with her fingers as she watched the woman make her way over to the food stalls. "What in the actual..."

She was very hungry before, but the woman's stench made her lose her appetite. Retching, she couldn't take her eyes off the troglodyte not matter how desperately she wanted to, just like a car accident.

Allysse slowly lifted her head and woke up, brushing sand off her face and out of her hair. She started wondering why she fell asleep outside, but the sounds of someone saying 'hey' were finally registering in her brain a few seconds later. She looked up and saw a girl with the prettiest purple hair, and eyes like emeralds. Beginning to stand up, Allysse replied to the girl, "I'm a doctor, and I'm looking to live here. Uh... thanks for waking me up, I would've been in trouble without you. Are you travelling too? I didn't see you on the ship."

As she spoke, her eyes darted around to take in her surroundings, and she noticed a cozy-looking inn not too far away. After talking with this girl, she would make her way to the inn before it got too dark.

Allysse looked relieved to see the inspector making her way over to check on the half-drowned man. She was even more relieved to see the man regaining consciousness. "Let's get this man to a hospital, or at least on solid land," Allysse said, waving over more crew members to help carry him. Wiping sweat and water off her forehead, she got off the ship, stumbling and dizzy (and forgetting her blazer she used to dry the man off). Her mind was occupied by many racing thoughts. What happened to this man and woman? What happened to the alien-looking girl? ...Why does that house have a gigantic hole in its roof? Shaking her head, she turned to see Kura and a man in armour a little distance away from her. Great, another peculiar person to keep an eye on. And oh, the weird guy talking to himself yet again. That kind of ruined any hopes of conversing with him that she might have had.

As for the house with the mangled roof, she felt the need to find out what happened, but her body was also screaming for rest. It was a difficult decision to make, and she was conflicted because she couldn't ignore this issue (even if it was none of her business) just like she ignored the screams that had awoken her earlier - look how that turned out. On the other hand, she was shivering where she stood - Trios' cold climate mixed with soaking wet clothing was not a good combination.

She went to sit on a rock. Overwhelmed with feelings of hunger, fatigue from lack of sleep, coldness, and the stress from the deck catastrophe, the world slowly faded to black.

Allysse was charmed by the young girl's excitement and innocence, making her laugh warmly. She thought Kura's outfit was utterly fascinating, and it served to further pique her curiosity about the girl. She thought the amethyst in her bag would amuse her, so she began to fumble through her bag to take it out. While she was searching, she said, "The only thing that's really special about me is that I have a fantastic memory. So that's kinda like magic! ... In a way." Just then, a serious and determined-looking lady with a badge burst into the lounge and hurried on to the deck. When the woman opened the door, the tranquil and boring lounge was abruptly filled with the sounds of commotion and panic from outside. Worry began to rise in the pit of Allysse's stomach, and she was reminded of the screams that had awoken her in the first place. Allysse sprung out of her seat and followed behind the investigator.

She stopped dead in her tracks at the doorway. It was absolute chaos on the deck. Through the blur of frantic people running around and crowding, she could see that there lay a man, drenched, that looked half (or completely) dead; a desperate woman, also drenched, gasping something about her daughter; the investigator shouting, and a sight that made her gasp: a girl with long black hair and a beautiful pair of wings. Looking over to Kura, she put up her hand up to signal her to stay where she was, as her words seemed to falter in that moment.

The winged girl took flight, which brought Allysse's attention to the hot air balloon in the sky. The balloon was violently shaken by the wind and began to fall rapidly, but Allysse had to think quick. Everyone's screams brought her back to reality and strangely gave her vital clarity of mind: she had to stop gawking at the strange girl, and find out what needed immediate attention. Knowing what to do, she aptly weaved in and out of sprinting people to check the pulse of the unconscious man. She knelt down and pressed on the man's neck to feel a pulse. Waiting... and nothing. She was shaking, and the water on the man's neck made it impossible to get a proper grip. She shrugged off her blazer and dried off the poor man's neck. Then, taking deep breaths and ignoring the sensation of her own heart pounding and the blood rushing through her veins, Allysse could feel a faint, almost non-existent pulse.

Numerous splashing sounds and screaming from outside the ferry awaken Allysse from her light sleep. She had been having trouble getting to sleep because of sea sickness, anxiety, and excitement; so when she was rudely awakened, her mood plummeted. Rubbing her eyes and yawning, she slides out of bed. After smoothing down her clothing and finger-combing her hair, she exits her cabin and enters the lounge to investigate.

When she enters the lounge, it feels as if everyone is looking at her, even though everyone seemed to be doing their own thing. Scanning the room, she spotted a boy at a table talking to himself, and another girl that seemed extremely bored. She also sees a table with food laid out, and her stomach rumbles in response. Eating would be nice, but it would be more valuable to build connections and friendships with people. Trying to decide who seems less daunting to approach, Allysse evaluates the two curious people in the room. She finds the boy amusing, but is wary to approach him in his current state. So, she decides to shoot her shot at friendship, or at least small talk, with the girl in the chair. Putting on a facade of confidence and extroversion, she struts over to the girl and plops down in a seat beside her.

"Uhm... hi. I don't mean to bother you, but I'd like to make friends while I'm here. My name's Allysse," she said, and awkwardly reaches her hand out for a handshake.

Name: Allysse
Age: 24
Gender: Female
Species: Human

Abilities: She has photographic memory and medical knowledge (she is a doctor).

Special Weaknesses: Allysse is allergic to gluten (she has Celiac disease).

Backstory: Allysse was born to a loving family as an only child. Her father was a physics professor and her mother was a doctor, so she felt the pressure to pursue an academic career even though her parents did not force this upon her. She decided to study medicine like her mother, and completed her studies and obtained an M.D. Soon after she got her degree, her father passed away from illness, and the death of her mother followed a year after. She felt lost because she had no job, responsibilities, or loved ones around her. So, when she heard of Trios, she thought it could use her medical knowledge for its ever-growing population. Coming to Trios was also a way for her to try to find her life's purpose, and finally give back to a community.
