Ambush Bug wasn't strong. No, he was a pretty regular guy, and he was still figuring out what the suit could do. Of course, the antennae served a multitude of purposes- including parsing for communication frequencies. No time to worry about what was going on on Metropolis's classic hits station, though, because Superman was in peril! And such a large machine left only one option.

*pop*

Ambush Bug reappeared at a junkyard, grabbing some welding equipment and a tiger saw...

*pop*

...and teleporting on to the giant robot's shoulder. He prepared to teleport away once the robot attacked- preferably into its inner workings. He held up his hand, signalling the robot to stop.

"Hold, citizen of another world! I, Ambush Bug, must request some ID if you want to enter our atmosphere lawfully! Otherwise, you WILL be placed under citizen's arrest!"
So, how's Ambush Bug so far?
Irwin sat at his desk, tapping his pencil against his head, sighing. This was the hard part- everyone at the office knew the supernatural existed. After all, they'd had to clean up after several of Gentleman Ghost's crimes. The trick was getting funding for proper containment for supernatural contaminants since people STILL laughed at the idea of ghosts, or wrote them off as a minor nuisance. He and the rest of the office had spent the last several minutes trying to figure out how he should sneak "check Arkham for demons" into any future cleanups there.

Recommend investigation of potential spectral infestation at Arkham Asylum It's demons and specters summoned by the suffering of the insane, not cockroaches.
Suspect potential supernatural activity at Arkham, to be expected from the family that gave the Massachusetts town its name Not quite sure it's the same Arkhams.
Arkham's haunted as hell, call Dr. Fate Accurate, too informal.
Recommend contacting supernatural professionals- Dr. Fate, etc.- to investigate dark forces at work at Arkham Asylum "Dark Forces" was way too nebulous.

He sighed, dropping his head to his desk, the antennae of the suit twitching towards the TV. He looked up to see the giant transforming robot and stared in shock. He jumped up on his desk, his co-workers sighing. How'd Schwab get the corner office again?

"What? An invading Decepticon?! A news chopper destroyed?! Metropolis in peril?! THIS looks like a job..." Irwin said, pulling off his clip-on tie, "FOR AMBUSH BUG!"

With a twitch of his suit's antennae, a building energy, and a pop, Irwin Schwab stood on top of the Daily Planet globe, watching the robot and trying to figure out just what needed to be done to keep it from hurting people.
Frankly, Irwin Schwab was still amazed at the fact they let him keep his job after the thing with the suit. Then again, he never complained about the paperwork and was always punctual with the work assigned. Case in point, he was filling out a number of forms and recommendations explaining the cleanup crew's expenditures in the wake of a battle between Flash and Captain Cold. Most of the cost, as usual, came from buying up road salt and hiring local contractors for the repairs. He'd also recommended that Central City replace the snowplow just in case of another Weather Wizard-Captain Cold teamup, which had seriously cut in to the tourist season. There was also the pending recommendation to have a crew go over Arkham Asylum in search of just why it was so easy for inmates to break out. Corruption among the faculty, acts of the supernatural, and simple lack of conformity to federal architectural codes seemed the most likely candidates.

Of course, he still had to follow the office etiquette, and as such was wearing a clip-on tie over the suit. He flipped through the channels as he tried to figure out a more professional way to say "I'm 96% sure Arkham's haunted as heck anyway."
Joining the League later on works for me.
Superhero Name: Ambush Bug

Civilian Identity: Irwin Schwab

Appearance: This looks like a job... FOR AMBUSH BUG!. His suit doesn't come off, much to his chagrin.

Powers and Abilities: Teleportation (capable of jumping between planets), and a vague sense of being watched at all times. He also has an encyclopedic knowledge of the deeds of superheroes- and villains.

Biography: Irwin Schwab grew up on the media wave following the Justice League. Here were living, breathing, actual heroes saving people! One day, he vowed that he would aid them however he could. ...The problem, of course, was that he had no superpowers. He didn't have an endless supply of cash, he wasn't princess of an island of warriors, and he wasn't the last son of a dying world. No, he was just Irwin Schwab, college dropout. But, he could help the heroes from the civilian side- as a part of one of the government's secret cleanup crews. During a cleanup job, after an alien ship crash-landed near his hometown, Irwin found a green suit in the wreckage. This suit was obviously alien technology. The problem was, when he touched it to put it in a container, it immediately coated him- or so he says. In fact, he gleefully donned it as soon as he saw the technological bits. He's still not sure of the suit's powers and limits, but on that day, a new hero was born: THE AMBUSH BUG! With his autograph book, he began looking for a place to apply to join the League, eager to aid the heroes of Earth.

Of course, the Ambush Bug suit is technology not of this world- it was meant for the warriors of Apokolips. Darkseid has made attempts to reclaim it, but Irwin's glee at meeting such a major villain is surprisingly disarming, leading them to form something resembling a friendship. Darkseid has elected to let Irwin keep the suit, because "he seems to enjoy it." Darkseid is tight-lipped about removing it though.
On one of the bleachers, a man in a yellow coat sat, his feet on the back of the empty seat ahead of him as he ate one of the malted chocolates he'd bought at the concessions. The duels were kind of running together, but they'd get to him eventually- and just participating in the tournament would be free advertising for Ghoul's Night! He thumbed through the Unlivestock, nodding at each that came up. This was going to be a tough run, but something about the adorable little zombies got to him.
Name: Mamgaw Facechewer
Age: 8
Race: Goblin
Appearance:
Job: Professional Minion (in training)

Skills & Abilities: Goblins cane take a hell of a beating. They can get crushed, stabbed, dropped from low orbit, choked, bashed, slashed, or forced to read Atlas Shrugged- they take a licking and (eventually) come back kicking. It's easy to put 'em down, but the trick is getting them to stay down. This is fortunate, because they are really grating and really, really stupid. However, they work for peanuts and don't need clean living conditions, making them favored minions of evil overlords. Mamgaw, specifically, wields a spear and "armor" made of discarded clothes and things he found in the dump. He also has a rich array of hobbies, ranging from fishing to floral arrangement.

Inventory: "Armor" (a "chestplate" made out of a baking sheet, "gauntlets" made of oven mitts with wood patched on, and a "helm" composed of an enchanted bra that's as hard as steel.), a spear, a box of fishing tackle, and a bag of holding containing his "treasures"- mostly shiny objects and cool-looking rocks.

Description: Goblins are remarkably stupid. Mamgaw, of clan Facechewer is a goblin child. His judgement, at best, can be described as "poor". Unless it concerns his career prospects. Originally, the goblins just planned to kidnap a princess because that would get attention and lead to adventurers who would leave valuable garbage in their wake. But the prospect of kidnapping MULTIPLE princesses has led to him leaving the goblin enclave in the city dump, where the goblins scavenge for food and materials. He has sworn that he will become a mighty minion, and get a well-paying job with an overlord who will provide healthy references in the wake of his inevitable defeat at the hands of some hero.
Crap's been weird at home as of late. Should be clearing enough to post soon, though.
Updated the stuff for Purgatory, still working though.
