"I'm pretty good, considering that," replied Chloe with the beginning of a shy smile. Then she froze when she heard Dan's voice and slowly, very slowly, turned her head. Shit, she hadn't meant to include him in the conversation. "Um, sure, I guess I slept well," she said. Avoid eye contact at all costs. "...You?" I've always got my chlorine, just in case.
I DON'T KNOW DEAR LORD HELP ME.
Oh jesus, just thinking of that ship makes me dizzy.
Chloe did not enjoy being crammed in a car with a bunch of strangers, but she was able to tolerate it without exhaling chlorine. Dan's comments about...what? Gremlins on the wings of a plane? Was he being serious? She cast a sideways glance at him. Yup, he looked pretty serious, but could she honestly blame someone for having a fear of flying?
She switched her focus to Aria and Aura. She might as well make the best of this and try to be friendly, right? "So um...how's it going?"
@RomanAria Yo you should post it up
@CLIW you too dawg

hhhghgh
Yes.
She shrugged and nodded. "Something I've learned in the course of my life is that...no offense. People are shitty. You can't trust them. No matter how good you think they are, sooner or later they'll end up abandoning you because of their own motivations. So I thought, 'Why bother pretending to care for someone else if one of us will just leave the other dying in a gutter somewhere?'. And it's been...pretty good, so far." Her voice was tinged with a bitterness that she struggled to push away. "Good luck finding your sister, commando."
Chloe rubbed her eyes crankily and looked moodily at the clock. Six AM? Fair enough. She yawned and dragged herself out of bed, hair all over the place. It wasn't a pretty sight. Since she'd slept in her clothes, she was as ready as she'd ever be, so she slipped on her shoes, combed her hair into a slightly-more presentable mess with her fingers, and gritted her teeth slightly at the aches that had crept into her muscles. For a moment she froze in terror at the slight smell of chlorine, then relaxed. It was from the pool, and it had clung to her hair. The events of last night probably hadn't helped.
"I've been here since it started. The woman who lived here before was killed pretty much right off the bat, so I went ahead and took over her gardens. Lucky she had so many seeds and all." Irene took the plate and put it lazily in the no-longer-functioning sink. She looked briefly out of the window in an instinctive urge to follow the other person's gaze, before her higher brain stepped in and let her know that Hunter hadn't actually seen anything dangerous. Hopefully.

"What about you? Did you just hit the road as soon as the shit hit the fan?"
"Hmm," she muttered, and waved her hand dismissively. "No problem. If you're not gonna finish that, I'll take it." She burped softly after finishing her food. "So I heard you muttering a little from the kitchen. If you're off your rocker, you can get out. I don't need a crazy person in my house."
