Crap, that's half my country. Perhaps we can make some sort of compromise?
In the meantime, since there's enough interest, I'll get the OOC thread into the works. I'll have everything fleshed out before long.
@Theo: That post was directed at Xaxl, and was meant to come after his. I had an internet connection issue, sorry about that.

EDIT: Misread the numbers. Looks good to go for the most part.
So far, it's looking really good. When the OOC comes up, would you mind putting it in there?
I can easily edit everyone's claims in...
Alright, so I got a spot on the map for my faction. Since there were so few mountain ranges on the coast that weren't taken, I figured I'd take this area far to the south and make do. More detail can be seen on the full version of the picture.

Very true. My original plans were that this RP is not human-centric at all. In fact, it's the very opposite. Sure, in the local area they'll have an impact on the surrounding areas, but in the end it will be a challenge to play a powerful human faction, as chances are others will want to fill that role as well. Demand breeds competition, but too much in the way of humans being around will stunt part of the creative element that I am attempting to foster.
WIP -- I plan for this faction to be a minor air & naval power, defended (and defined) by its relatively powerful navy & air force on the coast, and by its small army on the mountains, where it keeps additional air units to help defend the country. Military emphasis is on the air and sea -- hence powerful ships and planes. However, tanks and infantry are sadly lacking, and only used in self-defense or in occupying battered enemy territory close to the shores that they bombard.

Name The United Kingdom of Valeria -- a.k.a. The Valerian Empire

Ruler: King Adrian Dragonstone

Economy: Capitalist -- with minor governmental regulations in place, to keep inflation down. There are also government-owned industries in place to keep the rising corporations in check. Not only does this help regulate the economy, but it also provides a very good way for the Emperors to acquire a vast sum of wealth for their own endeavors.

Population: About 7,500,000 (1930 census), somewhat densely populated.

Society: WIP

Military:

Foreign Relations: Due to the recent coronation of their new Emperor, the Valerians have yet to modify their new foreign policies off of his opinions. Word is that he operates differently than his late father, Emperor Charles Dragonstone, in the fact that the new Emperor plans to pursue a more aggressive military and diplomatic policy overseas. In addition, he is also looking for new allies to further strengthen his nation's power.

History: WIP, coming soon.
Human factions are likely going to be of very little to no consequence in this RP. Sure, humanoid races will be everywhere, but humans themselves are pretty much like a speck of dust in the grand scheme of things. On top of that, humans aren't exactly an original species, so be prepared to compensate for that.

Along with that, there will be others already wishing to play as humans, so there will be painfully obvious constraints even there in the realm of what you can do with them.
Awesome. I look forward to seeing them in action.

In other news, is there anyone able/willing to get a map up and running?
