Baulder

Unknown

Baulder only got a second to look around before the urge to vomit overwhelmed him. He spilled the contents of his stomach out and dropped to his knees and leaned over. He did his best to not spill it on himself. He could taste the jerky he had eaten on the wagon and the small amount of soup he'd been able to eat at the table mixed with bile. He was slightly annoyed as he had quite enjoyed that soup. After wiping off his mouth he looked over to see Mar wobbling much like she had been the whole trip. But before Baulder could yell at the recovering snake lady he was pulled up into the air again by more rock which, once again, caught his foot and caused him to be flipped onto his back. Still sore from last time Baulder actually groaned when he hit the ground this time. He barely managed to miss his vomit as he rolled over. He threw his hands back and threw himself up onto his feet using his weight.

He orientated himself to the new rock wall and put his hand on it. When he noticed that a new lady was speaking about keeping them restrained he noticed she looked a bit more, distinguished. She spoke with something, authority maybe? It was something Tyrael did sometimes, it was strange to notice here. "And I was having a nice meal thank you. Then that prophet man had to go and make a wall oooooohhhh great. Then he had to go and blow that guy up, I was having such a good time trying local foods."

As he said that he was reminded of E'nasha and he panicked for a moment before he heard her speak and he realized she was probably ok. He turned towards her voice and began to move towards her hand outstretched to help her but then Mar moved to her side first. Baulder growled at the snake women. "You Mar, had to stop John yes? Of all the times I've seen you not let insults go unpunished, of all the people, you, you I wouldn't think. Bah! Some other time." Baulder's tone then changed on a dime to a much more soft and caring tone. Something he had actually seen the snake lady do to her daughter. "E'nasha my dear, are you alright?" Baulder felt his face heat up as he heard the snake lady continue to insult his actions and his intelligence. Something was stopping him, maybe it was E'nasha being between them? Maybe, maybe, he would need to think about it later.

Rubbing his sore shoulder blades Baulder turned to the older woman and responded in a reasonably even tone considering how frustrated he was with the snake lady. "Yes, an explanation would be nice. Both for the attack and the portal. The portal is of particular interest if you have the time that is."
Fixed issues mentioned, expounded on his love interest some more.

I've been playing SWTOR again for the past couple weeks, thanks to this RP.

Yeah I'm a fiend so I couldn't not have internet tbh, even if I am going somewhere. So I can make more Vebra edits atleast over the week if we arn't starting.
Did a bit of a bio overhaul to fix grammar and story tidbits you mentioned. Fixed some other outstanding number issues. If it needs to be re-reviewed it is ready to have such be done.
John is the master of all, lament as his will is made known!
Baulder

Baulder was slow to react to the sudden eruption of violence. "This soup, I..... there is a spice here. Some plant? Surely, in this soup it is some sort of root yes?" He was so fixated on the soup that they had been given that he continued eating despite being sprayed with blood. He had never tasted such a spice before. He couldn't help but wonder if this is what all of E'nasha's food tasted like. When he felt more warm blood spray over the back of his neck and into his soup he finally turned around. "E'nasha my dear! Is this what all your food tastes like? It's..... sensational!" It only took him a few moments from there to take in what was happening around him. The most notable feature being the portal that had appeared and the absence of E'nasha.

At this point Baulder slammed the clay bowl against the table and jumped up from the bench, only to be immediately knocked aside by a massive rock wall. The edge of the wall caught his foot and successfully caused him to do a flip. He landed on his back hard and he winced for a second before standing back up. Baulder became enraged that he was now in pain, which meant John was summoned as an afterthought. Pulling his demon bane blades from his hip and looking around for E'nasha again. All he found was other students and some other ragged looking folks. Pointing with his left arm and blade in hand Baulder yelled at the nearest intruder "Where is she! The Yarosmerean girl, where is she!" He then heard Aramir yell something about him being stupid. "Your insults do not go unheard you base elf! John!" John took his meaning immeditaly and took of sprinting at Aramir, preparing to tackle her.

"Through the portal you fool! Run!" The man quickly retorted before the earth wall smashed open and the man known as Yolin stepped through with an odd aura about him. Baulder could barely perceive Yolin tackling the man he had just yelled at and turning him into a pool of blood. Baulder felt a few more drops of blood land on his face, such power. Baulder turned to the shadow portal like the man had said. He could feel something compelling him to stay, but he didn't want to end up a puddle either. Pausing for a second trying to decide what to do Baulder growled and gritted his teeth before putting his blades away and sprinting towards the portal. As he was about to enter the portal he saw John attacking Aramir and Mar. He growled again at Mar getting in the way but he decided it didn't matter much anymore and he jumped through the portal.
Baulder

Before departure

Baulder was not particularly annoyed by the fact that Annabeth and Helena were leaving after only having been there for such a short time. He really only cared if E'nasha stuck around anyways. But then just like that she and El'kan both left to. Once again Baulder was left by himself at the table, like he had been not too long before. Baulder took his right index finger claw and dug it into the palm of his hand until it drew blood. For a second he thought his blood was actually black but he very quickly remembered and saw that it wasn't. Baulder then ran his hand through his slowly lengthening hair. He had found that letting it grow out was entertaining to say the least. It wasn't even touching his ears yet but it had been odd going from his usual to skin cut to this. The interesting thing he had noticed was that his hair didn't grow over the tips of the hand shaped scar he had. This left two differently length patches of no hair on the top of his forehead. He ran his right hand through his hair and let the small amount of blood that had pooled in his palm act as a bit of a a slicking agent. He then got up and went to find his shovel.

Later
During the meeting Uicle had prepared Baulder ended up being silent, simply watching the suit walk around the room and gesticulate about the mission. The only real words that Baulder got out of most of the briefing were "don't touch things", "don't get involved", and "it's hot". Had Baulder known what Uicle had meant by that last statement he may not have agreed to actually come on the mission. While Baulder had consulted E'nasha briefly before going and gathering his things he couldn't think of any clothes that would help him here other than the lack thereof. He was picking at his white cotton shirt most of the day they were traveling in the carriage. Even his leather trousers were feeling like they were just confining him. Baulder was just glad he hadn't actually put any of his armor on today, as he surely would have taken it off by now.

The ride through the towns had atleast been entertaining for Baulder. He was particularly amused by a skeleton that was in tatters on the ground under a tree where it looked as if it had once belonged in a noose. The skeleton had what looked like it's foot shoved in between it's jaw bone and it's skull. Other than the occasional months old mutilation Baulder had been mostly bored as E'nasha hesitated to bring him too far from the wagon. He was wondering why that was to, it's not like he didn't keep himself armed. Surely there wasn't sand bears or something.....right?

The capital was much more interesting however. The smell of burning flesh and rotting bodies mixed with excrement reminded him of the farm. Baulder was able to keep himself entertained simply looking around at the ridiculous things occurring around him. He found the whipping posts to be of a special treat. Some prisoner or citizen or whatever these people were had their arms wrapped around some post while a man in robes hit them with a whip. Several of the people they passed had the skin flayed from their backs due to the extreme whipping. He was beginning to wonder what exactly Uicle had found so awful about this place. It really was quite funny.

When the carriage stopped and they were greated by another man in robes Baulder listened intently to his stomach. He felt a deep rumble and the words "food" and "market" said by the oddly dressed man. "Yes food! I've been hungry for a bit of time now, that would be wonderful!" Baulder said with enthusiasm.
