"...I'm not too sure myself. During that fight, I could've sworn I heard her voice in my head... But at the same time, my head was aching like hell." Zerenis said as he emerged from the cockpit of the Regen Duel.

"...People die, this is true. But it hurts a lot more when it's someone you view as a very close friend you lose." Zerenis said, shifting down towards the exit of the hangar.
"I did say the light was coming to you. You're safe now. Feel free to sleep now if you need it. Your injuries won't heal themselves" Cronic's telepathic voice said in return to Izumi, as Cronic turned to look at Glitch, before nodding.

"Make it happen Glitch. We've got to catch up with the rest of the fleet. Maddox is going to be on Admiral Yamato's, and I suspect the Extended he left to die's shit lists, along with the lists of those who still live." Cronic said, and then heard Glitch's remark about Izumi.

"Glitch, right now it doesn't matter who she is. Right now she needs our help more than anything." Cronic said to him, as he turned to the helmsman.

"Set a course for the Colonial fleet. Someone's gonna get it in the neck for this, and my money's on Maddox."
Mark set Izumi down on the stretcher the med team had bought with, and catching the Haro, before placing it on her chest, putting her arms around the Haro to keep it in place during transit to the med bay, and the team left the hangar soon after.

Calthorn exited what was left of the Wraith, spiking his helmet against the inside of the cockpit. Right now anyone could tell he was clearly pissed off at just about everything. But most importantly; Maddox's decision to go straight into a skirmish against an enemy they knew little about, save for the fact that they had automated mobile suit units.
"If Maddox is still alive, he'll be executed by firing squad for sure after this. Recon mission my ass..." Calthorn said over the comms, sounding like someone who was bottling their own anger.

Zerenis stowed his rail gun on his hip, before grabbing the Impulse and beginning to make it's way back to the Furious.

"I should have enough juice to get us back to the ship... Izumi, if you're still alive... Stay safe kid." Zerenis said to Lucia, and several minutes later, he entered the catapult with the Regen Duel with the Impulse in tow.

"What the hell was that thing?" Zerenis thought to himself.
As the ZAKU flew into the Catapult, Mark quickly checked Izumi's pulse, before Cronic's voice echoed over the comms.

"Mark, the medical team is standing by. Once the ZAKU is in the hangar, get the pilot to them immediately." Cronic said, as the Airlock to the Hangar opened, allowing the ZAKU entry.

Wasting no time, Mark opened the Cockpit. "Follow me little one." Mark said to the Haro, stepping out of the cockpit, carrying Izumi as he did so, before using his legs to launch himself off the ZAKU down to the med crew below, taking Izumi's helmet off during the descent.
Once Mark was safe and secure, Cronic responded to Kenny.

"We could probably cobble something together for short term, but without the proper hardware, we can't cater for him long term." Cronic said, sounding a little bit irritated at the whole situation... Course, that could be the hangover talking.

"And the only SOB with the hardware that I know of just ran with his tail between his f**king legs!"
"Hey smartass! PREDICT THIS!" Zerenis shouted, firing the rail gun shot at the silhouette before the pilot had time to react, which would pierce right through it and the MS if he's lucky, before gearing up for a second shot, just in case.

Calthorn, however, was now practically dead in the water. That Saber had burned up the last of Wraith's energy reserves, and it was drifting away from the enemy MS now as a result.

"If anyone can hear me, I need an immediate evac. Repeat, if anyone can hear me, I need an immediate evac!" Calthorn shouted out over the comms.
Once Mark reached the cockpit of the Zaku, he sat down in the seat setting Izumi down on his lap, the Haro down on Izumi's stomach, closed up the cockpit, and turned to face the Escutcheon, directing the MS' thrusters towards the cloaked ship, as he shot towards it as fast as he could without worsening Izumi's condition.

"Astaroth to Escutcheon. Saviour's pilot retrieved, but condition is critical. Med team required at the docking bay, ASAP!" Mark said over the comms, awaiting a response.
Acting swiftly, Cronic raised his arms in front of his face, taking several of the kunai in his limbs, others scratching the armour. He was, however, not showing any sign of blood loss from the ones that did get caught in his arms, and once he had his chance, he dove to one side, rolling to his feet, speaking to himself as he did so.

"Suspicions confirmed. Target is responsible for the explosions in some way. Target also demonstrating intent to kill. Rule #1, if target intends to kill, lethal force is immediately authorized." Cronic said, his armour shifting to red, as his HF blades emerged from his arms, deflecting the remainder of the kunai being thrown at him with said blades.
Naturally, Cronic turned to look at the Ninja. He promptly identified that this person was up to something upon hearing her speak into the radio, and ruled out the stupid/ignorant conclusion.

"...You know, you really should look around where you're speaking before you start running your mouth. You never know who might be stood listening." Cronic said to Shiroko, quickly making his way up to said rooftop with a single jump, landing down behind the ninja.
"I'm about the closest thing we've got to a doctor here." Mark said, working swiftly to repair the damage to the pilot suit. Once he'd finished, he spoke to the Haro.

"Ok, I need you to come with me. This MS is a write off, and I won't be able to salvage what's left and get her into proper medical care in time. I need you to ensure that her heart keeps beating." Mark said to the Haro, scooping Izumi into his arms.

"Don't you dare die on me now." Mark said to Izumi, grabbing the Haro before tucking it under one arm while carrying Izumi, as he flew out of the Saviour's cockpit as fast as he could towards the ZAKU without dropping Izumi or the Haro, the latter being especially important, since it could tell him of Izumi's condition, and keep her heart beating.
"Power drain just sky-rocketed! I've got one shot, and I'm taking it!" Calthorn said, shooting towards the enemy MS's main thrusters, and when he drew close, he swung the saber as hard as he was able to, praying to god the enemy MS didn't dodge.
Zerenis' aim was steady on the Blast Silhouette, breathing calm despite the aches in his head, the rail gun shot charged to full, his finger on the trigger. All he could do now was wait for the shot.
Needless to say, the explosions were enough to warrant a certain Cyborg's attention. He wasn't directly part of any law enforcement branch, but he was required to routinely check in with the Shinsengumi. At the time of the explosions, Cronic was just wrapping up neutralizing a criminal gang.

"...I don't know what just happened, but it's not good." Cronic said, having tied up the subdued criminals, before going to observe the closest explosion site to his location, checking for anyone acting out of the ordinary, which considering a bomb just went off, would be anyone acting eerily calm, as opposed to anyone shocked, terrified, trying to quell the blaze, or running for their lives.
"I don't mean to rain on your parade, but I've probably got about 10-15 minutes before Wraith runs out of power and I become a sitting duck. And that's using it conservatively." Calthorn said, evading the shots, but trying to conserve thruster use at the same time, grabbing hold of the Beam Saber Kenny shot out of the enemy MS's hand.

"Let's hope this thing works!" Calthorn said, trying to activate the beam saber as he continued his evasion.
"...Good lord." Mark said, as he began searching for the emergency suit fixes, and upon finding one, wasted no time getting to work on ensuring the pilot suit wasn't compromised before he tried to move the pilot. "Little robot. Is the pilot still alive?" Mark said to the Haro as he worked, hoping he wasn't too late.

"I can't risk doing anything about that arm medically as long as we're here. If I can get the unfortunate soul back to the ZAKU though, I should be able to sort it out there using the medical supplies I bought with me... If we manage to get that far without getting killed first."
Calthorn spotted the beam saber being blown out of it's hand, as Kenny's voice echoed across the comms, snapping Calthorn back to reality, but his head was still aching like hell. Turning around, he threw one of the Wraith's swords at the enemy MS, then scrambling for the beam saber before the enemy unit had time to retrieve it. "Rgh... Let's hope this thing works. Wraith's running on fumes at this point..!"
"Not quite sure what you're cooking up, but if it drops this son of a bitch, then I'm all for it!" Zerenis said, setting his sights on Lucia's blast silhouette.

"Just watch yourself, you hear? I don't want to see you go up in smoke too!"
Moving swiftly, Mark managed to catch a glimpse of what was left of the Saviour.

"Astaroth to CIC, I have eyes on the Saviour's wreckage. Cockpit is compromised. Odds of the Pilot's survival is unlikely. Will move in and confirm." Mark said, moving the ZAKU to within range of the Saviour. Once he was within range, he opened the cockpit, and with a jet pack like device equipped, flew out towards the Saviour's cockpit.

"Good grief. This Gundam got shot to shreds. If the pilot is still alive, I will be impressed. Though I'll have to move swiftly; Given that the cockpit is compromised, the pilot is likely badly wounded. I'll need to get back to the ship as quickly as possible if I want to save that pilot's life."
That voice snapped Calthorn out of his fury, if only for a short time. His comm channels to Maddox's ship still open. Shoving past the sheer pain, Calthorn shot forward with his own swords to try to intercept the enemy MS, aiming to impale it on both. "WHY WON'T YOU JUST SHUT UP AND DIE YOURSELF! GET OUT OF MY FUCKING HEAD!" Calthorn shouted out, his anger returning in full force.
Sure enough, Mark picked up on Izumi's thrusters. "Boss man, I just picked up on thruster emissions. Faint ones. Could be the Saviour. I'm going in to investigate." Mark said, firing up the ZAKU's thrusters as he shot towards the location of the ruined saviour.
"Confirmed. Bring it back swiftly, Mark. Leave the MS behind if it would take too long to salvage." Cronic said, going back to trying to communicate with Izumi.

"Just hold on a little while longer; You might not be able to reach that light, but that light may just be coming towards you instead." Cronic thought, his voice filled with resolve.

"I've spent a lot of time and effort ensuring that no-one we urgently need dies on my watch. Damned if I'm going to let that change now." Cronic said to himself.
Zerenis, meanwhile was continuing his artillery assault on the enemy's carrier ships. Firing every shot he had to try and destroy as many ships as he could, before discarding the Bazooka, and taking out the rail gun. Rather than resume firing on the ships now, he turned to aim at the winged mobile suit, charging up a shot.

"This rail gun may not have as much kick to it as the Bazooka did, but it ought to help keep this bastard on his toes!" Zerenis said, opening a comm channel to Lucia.

"Lucia, Rail Bazooka's empty. I'm lining up my rail gun's cross-hairs on the enemy MS now. I need you to give me a shot."
