❤'s Wild [Interest Check]

Hey there! I'm Crumbs and I'm really desperate! I made a thread a while back that was originally intended to be a 1x1 thing, where an acquaintance invited a friend to join in (so I decided to move it to Advanced). So I got excited. I made the thread. They never posted. There was never a real interest check for the idea; so I thought I'd put one up, here!

Thanks for sticking through that opening part. The RP is called ❤'s Wild and is an anime-styled post-apocalyptic 'western' set in the decaying, mystical world of Rainend. There's no set theme for characters or anything of the like, and I'm allowing for a lot of creativity in how things are going to be handled. One of the larger aspects of ❤'s Wild is Mineral Weapons; a weapon that possesses attributes based on the mineral it is made of. For example, my character (Wild Cherry, bc hahaha) carries a Ruby Revolver that tends to shoot bolts of flame. The possibilities of these weapons (they may not even really be weapons, in the end) are pretty broad, as I haven't truly put much information out there about them.

I know this is short...but still. There's more information over in the already created OOC thread.

I'm looking for up to three other people to join in. Three other people who'd put themselves at a High-Casual or Advanced level. Three people who'd be willing to help cheer a girl up by making her thread less dead. It'd mean a bit to me if you took time to check it out.

The big idea is that we're either Cardinal City dwellers, sent out by one of the Cardinals on a particular task; either that or waste-landers who've been contacted by the Cardinals for a similar mission. Chances are it's going to be a group of both sides of Rainend's spectrum, handling the interactions between those with highly differing lifestyles and the like. There'll be monsters and mutants and horrible diseases and all kinds of fun stuff!

Also...if anyone happens to check this, and then come back. Input would also be appreciated. I can't seem to get anyone wanting to do this. So...any pointers would be appreciated!

On second thought, I'm not going to consider this dead. It's a smaller project than the one I was forced to drop. I'll do what I can to keep it alive, assuming anyone becomes interested. I lost hope on that, but I think I'm improving my attitude a little. I love what I have in mind for this setting and I'd like to just put this bump up to see if anyone else finds it worth their time.

Sorry for that last post. I take back what I said about letting this go. I mean, chances are it's not going anywhere...but consider it open if you'd like. If you post, I will respond. I swear.

Edit: I'll be putting up another character, soon. I might go fill in some more stuff for the Terms section, too, to give more insight.

You imply it is untrue that there exist spaces outside of the Void?

Origin had come to enjoy her time with Emissary, the two gifted with extremely differing intellects and opinions; something that neither of them, though aware of their possession, were often given leave to express freely. Such a matter of opinion was at hand, one regarding the placement of Eternity versus that of the Void and Aedrasil. Origin was under the impression, or, rather, she knew, that Eternity was until recently a sporadically appearing anomalistic distortion in the Void. Emissary vehemently disagreed, stating with his usual monotone that the Void composed Eternity and, furthermore, also composed that which most beings would view as the independent realm of Aedrasil. Excluding the False Spaces created by the Order Sequential. This was something that he knew. The most wonderful facet of the conversation, was that each knew the other was correct and had for quite some time. That, however, did not derail their faux arguments nor augment their predestined conversations.

True, Origin, but also an inherently flawed way of viewing 'space'.

Her form had taken a more defined shape since the strange window-man's arrival. She had grown from the child-like first incarnation into a woman garbed in mystery. The garments had appeared on Origin, shortly after the maturation of her esoteric visage. Featureless still about the face, save for a prismatic smile now and again, she had grown long of limb and possessed of a slender grace. The intricate robes clung to her form, framing her face with an appropriately voluminous hood, made obvious by their glass-like nature; yet beneath the glossy surface was not Origin's infinite ivory not-flesh, it was a nebulous sea of stygian darkness, punctuated by the births and deaths of countless mundane realities. The far-seeing vestments did not cover below her elbow or knee and traveled in strange tendrils when she moved about Eternity.

She had taken to pacing when speaking to Emissary, leaving those trails to break into 'momentary' plumes that were consumed by Eternity's black maw. Now she did that, lambent arms crossed as she made her way back and forth.

I can not see that as anything but a falsehood. Esoteric Space exists overlapping with Corporeal Space. If there existed nothing but Void, an overlap between these two spaces would be a systemic dysfunction that would perpetuate a Null space. I believe that most spaces, while contained within the Void, are not solely defined by it being the primary plane upon which these sub-planes propagate. That would be similar to likening Aedrasil to Eternity.

Emissary had remained in the form of a scratch across Eternity, offering a wide view of countless events scattered through the chronological tapestry of Aedrasil. Here and there could be spotted the figures Origin so loved to observe. A girl dancing with a fiddle, a not-man swinging a blade, a faceless thief throwing gems into private places, a girl with a grudge seeking answers, strangers seeking to survive, a smiling pilgrim striding forward...and others, fleeting portraits of what was or would never be.

Yet that is the truth of the matter. Aedrasil may appear to be an individual Space, as may any of the others we have mentioned; except for the Void its self. It obviously has no individuality aside from being the emptiness that all things exist within, and being able to be passed through. Your travels through your piece of Void, Eternity, have been leading you in a specific direction. Toward a particular piece of Void.

She smiled and cast brilliantly anarchic shades against Eternity, ceasing her pacing and approaching Emissary; stopping once she was within arm's reach. For a moment, she peered into him, watching the same faces before turning her gaze upward and allowing her attention to be moved, once more, to the matter at hand; her resurrection.

Then it is to be that my entrance into Aedrasil will cost you your individual existence; casting you as a piece of Void into the Void. A costly price for an uncertain outcome. Are you so sure that it is your wish to be my Anchor, Emissary?

Silence lasted a long 'moment'. Excruciatingly long. Origin had become fond of Emissary during his time serving as a stabilizing force in her otherwise erratic existence. She knew, of course, what he would say. It was as before, all of her travels through the Void were not idle celestial wanderings. Though Kanys had sundered her long ago, and left the nameless Origin without a heart...he had never destroyed that piece of her which was the Void. A gift he coveted, but would never receive.

I have a purpose, Origin, not a wish. Acting as your Anchor is not a decision I am capable of making. It is an imperative to ensure that you do not encounter premature failure.

Hiiiiiiiya. Been super busy lately, which has been cutting into the time I'm available on here. This'll probably persist until work slows down and I get adjusted to my schedule. With that being said, I stopped in to give a shout out to the new folk and welcome them; as well as a holiday well-wishing for everyone. And a thanks to the people who've stuck with me, this far. I know it's been a drag, lately...and I'm sorry about that.
