Introduction
The first moment you open your eyes, you notice something: Damn, you have one hell of a headache. Aside from that, you might find yourself drowsy, dizzy or weak. The second thing you might notice is the fact you don't know your name. Where you are. You don't recognize the haunting and dreadful sense that slide off of the white walls that surround you, but for some reason . . they almost scare you.
But what might scare you more? The cold, grey hand that is lying on the edge of your bed. You're almost afraid to look, but you do anyway. The corpses surround your room, the room filled with blood, with the bodies showing different degrees of damage: burnt, tore, slashed apart. You nearly scream as you climb up the head of the cot you're lying on. You might hold your knees, cry and shake. You might even call out for a sibling (how odd, you remember their name, but not your own?).
After you leave your state of shock, after you attempt to erase the scene from your mind, you begin to wander. It's cold and empty in the halls, but not desolate. There are others you meet. You might recognize them, you might not.
At this point, you have most likely looked in the mirror, realized how skinny you are. How long and untamed your hair is or how long your fingernails are. The face looking back at you in the mirror . . it's entirely unfamiliar. You might feel a slight crack in your mind, perhaps a slight tinge of your new roommate: a dosage of schizophrenia. Maybe it's something different or maybe nothing at all, everyone's different.
Everyone's different. . . after the experiments.
Welcome. To your own personal hell.
The Story
Our story of many torture souls begins almost seven years ago. Although you do not remember your life before now, it is likely to assume that it was equally as unpleasant as it is now. Before they took you in, you were homeless, an orphan or a runaway. Nobody would've missed you, considering you were likely abused, forgotten or starving. Maybe you were alone, but sometimes children were taken in pairs, threes or even fours. It wasn't uncommon.
Before you lost your memory, you were probably cold, hungry and sore. You were anywhere between the ages of eight to twelve when you were first taken. Now, you could be anywhere between six to seven years older than you were previously. You've been in a coma with the result of no memories, fear, dizziness. . many other feelings that you can't explain as well.
They took you. Under the false pretense that they "wanted to take care of you". They wanted to adopt you. They wanted to care about you. You don't remember trusting them. . . those bastards. . letting them feed and cloth you, letting them store you in a room in the middle of nowhere. You would've tore them apart now . . . oh wait, you already did that before you awoke. Ah, yes, it'll eventually return to you, the fact that you KILLED all those people found in your room.
The loss of control over your new found "powers".
They deserved it. For experimenting on you. . keeping you into a comatose state for SEVEN YEARS. It's too cruel to imagine -- except for the fact that it is indeed reality. That explains the voices in your mind, perhaps the uncontrollable paranoid or anxiety you feel. Even if you were unconscious, you might still remember -- glimpses of your own agony as they poked, prodded and jabbed at you.
. . Awaken now. Discover your true potential. You may think your revenge ends here, but it doesn't. It has always begun.
You have much to learn. The person behind all of this. Why they chose to experiment on you and the others. Find them, torture them, get your revenge. Learn to control your powers and fear . . well, fear is your friend. It'll make you MUCH stronger.
Try to escape. Run as far as you can, but you won't be able to sleep knowing that there is unfinished business. For the people who hurt you, maybe your friends or your siblings. Try to escape, but the memories will come back. They always do.
There is no Hell, there is only here. There is only here and now.
Powers & Insanity
- Powers - Every character will have at least one power. They will most likely have at least one "passive" power and at least one "active" power. It is not uncommon to have more than one power. You can have a few, but make sure your character is balanced, if he or she is not, they will be rejected. Powers can vary from anything you want and I'd highly recommend using this Wiki to browse through powers of your liking.
- Insanity - As far as insanity goes, it's up to you whether or not you want your character to have it. It is not needed, but highly likely, considering the trauma your character was put through. You can give them different degrees of insanity and it is entirely okay to allow it to appear throughout the Roleplay as well.
Rules
- You can have as many characters are you can handle.
- Romance is allowed to appear, but anything past the "fluffy stage" has to be taken to PMs.
- You'll get a warning if you start drama outside of the Roleplay, after that, you'll be kicked from the Roleplay.
- Not a rule, but I'd really love to see some proper grammar and character development here. Take your time when writing a response.
- If you have any questions, PM me or ask here in the thread, I will get back to you as soon as possible.
- Only one warning for godmodding, power-playing or meta-gaming.
- Do not kill another player's character without their permission. It is okay to attack their character, but not kill them.
- As a follow-up to the two previous rules: do not control another's character without their consent.
- Listen to the Co-Mods, they have the same powers as Grey and I.
- Do not speed-posting. There will not be a posting order, but I don't want two pages between just two people, alright?
