I have the strangest feeling this RP is going to get very intense later on.
The first thing that Cassius had observed was how freakishly humid it was today. She found herself sighing relief from the occasional gust of wind and for someone who was born in the summer, man, she did not deal well with heat.

That reminded her: her birthday was coming up. And not even that, they were already halfway through the ceremony and she had hardly any paid attention at all. She found herself wondering what job she'd end up with . . If she would end up with one at all.

I wonder what would happen if I poked the kid in front of me. No, control yourself, Cass.

And instead, she settled for clicking her tongue in a loop. God, she was bored. And the future didn't interest her at all and that was apparent.
Skye blinked at the girl, then at the man she was talking to before. "He's the one . . who saved me, right?" She had remembered seeing the javelins being thrown from the wooded area, pinning and killing the soldiers. Skye was grateful that the man was able to spare Benvolio, she wasn't quite sure how much her guardian could actually take. On the down side, she hated the idea of ending another life.

She didn't wait for a response from the girl, though. The group seemed like a trustworthy bunch, considering that the other had defended her before. She imagined that they were some sort of rogues caught up in a war or something. And come to think of it, so was she. Skye watched as Benvolio's ears twitched at the other girl, but he said nothing. No comment about her being an "artless idle-bred minnow" or anything. That was most likely a good sign.

She accepted the girl's hand, "I-I'm Skye. . .and thank you, I appreciate your help."
Skye was stroking Benvolio's back when the other girl had come over to check on her. She shook her head in response to the girl's question, "No, I-I. . .", her tongue stumbled clumsily and Skye was only able to mumble out those words before the other girl had walked away. Skye watched as the scene unfolded, her heart beating coming to a steadier beat. Still, she had the extraordinary sensation to bawl her eyes out.

The girl had come back over a second time. Benvolio was now lying on his belly, no longer on his side. He was panting, a healthy look in his black orbs. Soon, he would return to being the same optimist who insulted everyone around him as always. Skye looked at the other girl with large, frightened eyes, "I-I, uhm. . . no, not really. But uhm, w-what exactly is going on?"

Yes, answers would be good.
After Benvolio had been freed, Skye leaned down beside the dog, insisting that he would stay down so she could search and treat any injuries he had. She was relieved that she had found none aside from small scratches that did not seem to irritate him. She had sighed and now she was just sitting in the dirt, trying to regain her breath and mental balance. That was terrifying. . .

Her eyes wandered over to the other two, each with "guardians" like herself. She scratched Benvolio behind the ear and looked up at them both, feeling too timid and shy too enter the conversation. She counted the seconds. One, two, three. . .

Finally, she would force herself to speak, in a shy, quiet and slow manner. "Thank. . you."
Skye gasped in fear, seeing her companion tackled, "N-no, Benny!" Before the girl could protest she was grabbed by two strange men with a knife held at her throat. She bit on her lip, a muffled scream tried to escape her, but to no avail. She wished more than anything that Franz was here right now to calm her down and escort her to safety.

I have to save Benvolio!

She found herself trying to reach for the dog passively. He was trying to break himself from the grasp of the wolves, shouting something about them being "hell-hated louts". "L-let him go! He has . . Nothing to do with whatever you are fighting about!"
Dammit, I wanted to defend myself, but I won't even be able to respond until like 9 tonight.

Edit: The hell with it. I'll use my iPod.
