Introduction
The year is 2066.

It has been exactly twenty years since two parallel, yet unseen worlds, finally made contact with one another. It has been officially nineteen years since these worlds viewed and respected each others differences and soon, it'll be time for the 19th anniversary of peace between this two extremely different worlds. After the very fabric of time and space split, Lucis and Earth, forever separated, become through a massive wormhole in the sky.

This wormhole, dubbed by common tongue as the "Black Gale" is home to miles of unexplored wilderness and the infamous "mysterious labyrinths" which are known for appearing randomly, spawning a number of monsters and always changing in design when entered. In order to combat the threat of wildlife, labyrinths and even potential war between the two worlds, a number of academies have begun to pop up all over the areas of the Black Gale currently inhabited by humans.

These academies vary by location, but all have the same general concept -- "the end result is peace." Each school takes a variety of races from both worlds and by allowing them to co-exist and learn from each other, students work together towards graduation. Upon graduation, students are officially recognized as "Gatekeepers", an honor by any form of government and realized by both worlds to be enforcers of law, peace and overall, protection.

You are one of these students. Perhaps you are ordinary or extremely gifted, good with technology, magic, alchemy or people. Either way, you've been chosen by the headmaster of one academy in particular -- the Academy of The Arcane Artes. It is unknown as to why students are chosen, but the academy itself is outstanding by standards with high graduation and some of the most famous Gatekeepers are known to have graduated from there.

That being said, the option is yours to take.

The Letter
The letter is received at the same time for every student. It is dropped nearby the student (such as a windowsill) by a raven, black as night. It can appear during the night, day, afternoon or elsewise. Should you be a second year student and so on, you receive a variation of this letter that is simply updated information about you. After this letter is received by the academy, you are to receive a uniform bearing the academy's crest with the choice of a cloak or coat.

Dear Future Student,

Good greetings to you! I am proud to say that you have been selectively chosen to join in a program dedicated to training future Gatekeepers! You have been invited to study abroad at the prestige and elite high-classed "Academy Of The Arcane Artes". However, this choice is entirely yours. If you show no interest, then discard this letter now. If you do, however, continue to read. We would love to have you in our school, as we are aware you show potential!

[Out of immense curiosity, you would choose to flip the page of the letter, which, wow! Is a lengthy "journal", not just one single letter.]

I'm glad you have chosen to accept this proposal! If you desire to accept, you'll need to fill out a quick form, but nothing too tedious. You will begin in three days from the day this letter is sent, and you will arrive at this location [your eyes scroll over the location, you may or may not know where it is. Lucis kids and Earth kids have different locations it seems.] at 7:00 A.M on Sunday or Solday, your transportation will arrive in the form of a top-trained Griffin. Do not be afraid, this majestic beasts will not harm you and are quite friendly, they are also aware of their directions. You will then arrive at the academy at 8:00 A.M for orientation and a welcoming banquet. The rest of the instructions will be given from there.

I have enclosed a brochure of the school, I assure you, it is the best for your education. Our academy is top-rated in several popular articles such as, "Rich Magika Hunters", and "Learning Artes". Our campus is beyond large, so do not fear the fact we will be in The Black Gale. Our academy still holds astounding beauty, and the weather will be controlled by a variety of Weather Mages, the school's landscaped is tended to daily and has a rich growing of alchemy supplies all year.

Our campus is massive in size, we have many facilities as you will read the brochure. There is a Shopping Mall, lake, forest, and a variety of other facilities to make you all feel the utmost comfortable and "at home"; for both you and your partner.

Your class will be attending classes between Monday or Lunday, to Thursday, or AfterMid Day. You will have the rest of the week to yourself. You may use this time to study, work part-time, or participate in a variety of varsity activities.

Rules

I'll tell you about you'd find there (magic, technology, weapons, etc), but races, religion, clans, land and the like is all by your own world-building? Same with Earth as well?

Yes, this is still going. I'll be busy until this weekend due to schoolwork, but I'll hopefully be working on it by Friday night.

And yes, there is all the freedom you need in term of races, classes, backgrounds and so on. I believe heavily in being able to create as you see fit, as long as your character isn't an "overpowered" character, you'll be accepted. I'll be filling you all in what you need to know in terms of Lucis and future Earth, but aside from that, create as you see fit, ;o.

We have two other cats and we'll be getting our fourth tomorrow (my family is a sucker for sob stories and this one is a half-blind black cat named Luna who will be put down if we don't take him). Absolutely love my fuzzy fluffballs!

@imaloser, I'm Pisces-Aquarius with Sagi moon. Though Aries and Pisces are traditionally rivals, since I have air (Aquarius) in 1/2 of me, we'll get along good enough. Simpsons is basically my childhood and I remember sneaking episodes of American Dad until I was thirteen (wooorth it), though my favorite show is definitely Supernatural. Pokemon is rad (and the other half of my childhood). As you can see, I'm a huge cat fan, making Persian my absolute favorite of the bunch. And I've had a stuffed Beagle toy since I was two or so, loved the crude out of it. Personally, I love German Shepherds too, Cx.

I fully understand the point you're getting at. It isn't well represented and really, both sides are met with a ton of hostility. Particularly, SJWs are viewed as the plague of the internet and those pro-Gamergate are treated as "nerds defending their hobby". No way in the furthest stretch of the imagination would I use satire to make any claims to make a point.

Update: I noticed you were talking about this thread. I believe like most sites, we have a sense of user bias. That being said, Tumblr actually hates Zoe Quinn aside from a small group, almost as much as 4chan dislikes her. From what I've seen anyway.

However, I have massive biased for SJWs for mistreatment myself so I should not be put anywhere near them on debate of any kind, but I'm glad you lot enjoyed the videos, =P.
