It’s like a strange folklore
And a filled-out fiction
It’s our unexpected scenario
Without stopping, time simply engraved memories . . .

SpeciesHuman with psychic abilities ("Super Psychic").
NationalityAmerican.
PersonalityEnigmatic, bubbly and extremely friendly, Dani is definitely an extrovert. Though don't take her optimism as a facade or shallowness -- she actually is quite happy most of the time as well as being an extremely deep and creative soul who often feels "detached" from the world, which would make sense, considering her abnormal abilities. Naturally empathetic and compassionate, Dani has the uncanny ability to read people and guess their problems which often leads her to offering advice and possible solutions. Despite her traumatic childhood, she does not see the world as a negative place and has much faith in it, including the people who live in it. Somewhat narcissistic and a little dark at times, she seems to have a belief that she has a "greater role" in the grand scheme of things which may explain her connection and desire to protect and help Althea.
BiographyPsychic abilities are considered ludicrous and will likely never be accepted by modern society, however, if a scientist were to dare to risk their reputation, they might theorize that trauma is what causes psychic powers to "develop" or "appear". In Dani's case, this was very much true. After being involved in a shooting as a child, she was the sole survivor -- her parents were included in the attack. Sob stories aside, she doesn't have many memories of the trauma and doesn't bring it up often, if at all. Thanks to childhood amnesia, the only traces were stories she was told and nightmares.
For a good number of her life, she was passed around between foster homes, often sent back with a complaint. While the complaints varied, almost all had something in common: the girl was doing something she wasn't physically able to do. Like throwing a dog against a wall "via an invisible force" or speaking to a woman's dead brother -- all of that combined threw government services off, allowing other officials to get involved. For a while, the situation of the girl was heavily debated -- who could take care of her and let her powers develop on their own? Who could be trusted to not do experiments on her? Who would
not give up on her?
Eventually, she was handed over to a specialized branch in the military where she was raised for many years. Treated well as promised, she was educated like a normal child and had friends despite her extraordinary abilities. The members in her branch were like family and she loves them all dearly, even to this day. Though she wished to repay her country and asked for training time and time again, she was denied due to fear of injury. Instead, she was sent on diplomatic duties around the world as an "assistant reporter", which was a cover-up for what she was really doing: finding motives from other countries. Eventually, she found her way to Japan and saw the girl who fell from the sky.
She was immediately attracted to her. Was it love? Was it the girl's serene grace? No and yes. Somehow, Dani felt connected to this girl. . and decided to abandon her "old job" for a new one: protecting and helping Althea. After all, Dani could help, considering she was almost a spy at this point in her life. . . right?
