Sorry I haven't posted in a little while. I'm not sure how to handle the other character that was dropped on me. I'll put something up when I get back from work tonight.
Box 11 Penelope and Ramon Penelope was confused at first. It almost seems like he forgot his name, but there's no way that's right. I mean, who forgets that? Then it struck her: he might be under an assumed name for some reason. Best to play along for now, until she could ask enough people to ferret out the truth. "Well, Ramon. Are you from Lucius, or Earth? I can't really tell just by looking at you."
@BrodZ11711 Mind if I ask why? I'm not exactly comfortable taking over someone else's character without a very good reason.
Box 11 Penelope and Jett Well, that was unexpected. Penelope now found herself alone with a purple haired boy armed with something she could only describe as the bastard child of a katana and a longsword. She absently toyed with the handle of her own cutlass, but kept it sheathed. No sense in frightening the boy. Her pointed teeth would already do that. Damn the fact that they don't transform with my tail. "Sooo... My name's Penelope. And you would be?"
The speech was over, if it could be called a speech in the first place. Penelope had to admit, she thought she would get along well with the Headmaster. They were both subtle as sledgehammers, more concerned about action than words. She dug out a piece of paper from under her seat. The number 11 was scrawled on it in poor handwriting. A room number, perhaps? Truth be told, she had no idea what the number meant, so she sat back down and wait for further instructions to clear her confusion.
Penelope nodded to the griffin, which flew off towards the stables. She glanced around the grounds. Elegant buildings, immaculate grounds, and... was that a lake? Tide come in, it was! That was perfect. She would be able to feel open water on her scales. No siren should have to transform in a bathtub, after all. Walking up to the school entrance, Penelope took the measure of her fellow students. There were so many species represented, from orcs to elves, and the humans. She'd never had the pleasure of meeting a human, but she'd heard many interesting stories and rumors. None of them were true, probably, but it would certainly be something worth writing her mother about.
Penelope had decided to meet the griffin up on the landing area above her hometown. She could see the buildings below, carved from the seabed, and picked out her family's former mansion. Someday, I'll be back. This is just the first step. She climbed onto the griffin's back, unable to keep herself from yelling, "Giddyup!" The griffin glared at her, but took off anyway. As they approached the Black Gale, Penelope braced herself, not quite sure what passing through would feel like. A quick stab of cold, and then they were through, looking down on the Academy. The griffin pulled into a deep dive, and she whooped with delight. As they landed, Penelope took a look around at her new home. I think I'm going to like it here.
Still room? Penelope [-] When she's in her aquatic form, her legs fuse to form a green, scaly tail with a delicate fin. The scales are far closer to a snake's than a fish's. Full name: Penelope Ashford Alias: N/A Nickname: Penny, Aquagirl Gender: Female Age: 16 Year: First Birthday: February 16 Sign: Pisces Species: Sirens are the darker side of merfolk, not necessarily evil or malicious, but far more likely to bear those traits. They can breathe both water or air, and their lower fins transform into legs when out of water. Their most prominent and disturbing physical feature is their teeth, which do not change between forms. They are long and needle-like, evolved for spearing fish. Class: Seamaster The seamaster is at home aboard a ship, with the wind at their back and salt spray in their face. A true maritime expert, the seamaster is proficient in sailing, water magic, and close-quarters combat. Weapon: A steel cutlass named Seacutter, enchanted to be as easy to swing in water as in air. Lucis Biography: Penelope is the daughter of a merfolk Duchess, and as such, grew up in a life of luxury with servants to wait on her hand and fin. However, her mother ticked off the King with so many sleights, he revoked her titles and land. The family is still living comfortably, but it's a step down from where they were. Penelope sees her time at the academy as a chance to start climbing the social ladder and regain her family's status. Partner: Willing to partner with anyone Personality: The first thing people notice about Penelope is that she snarks with the best of them. Her natural instinct is to treat both bad news and outright danger with sarcasm. If one can get through her tough exterior, which isn't easy, she start feeling more comfortable around them. Strange abilities and traits: Sirens have an innate affinity for water magic. Powerful sirens have been known to dispel storms at sea and lift entire lakes from their beds, even turning their entire bodies into living water, but right now, Penelope's powers are barely enough to fill a small bathtub Hypnotic Song: All Sirens have a song that can hypnotize weak-willed members of the opposite sex. However, it will not work on mechanical lifeforms. Fears/weaknesses: Penelope often sets high expectations for herself, and berates herself if she fails to meet them. She also will not work well with individuals who aren't similarly driven. She's also afraid of being stuck underground. Other: Has an excellent head for mathematics
Ello all, Grey's currently in Church, praying to his holy deity. Should be on shortly. Thank you for waiting on his critiques.
Dang flabbit Jed, how are people going to think I'm dark and edgy now that they know I go to church? Anywhooo.... @The Fox Without 1) An crappy electric collar is still not what I would call adequate measure to restrain an inhuman death row inmate. 2) Mana detection is a thing. Your concealment of presence spell is moot point. 3) I 'unno man, the bit about "reversing vampiric nature" just strikes me as really odd. @Card Captor Yeah, basically you don't need to justify having a human form as a unicorn. You can just become one with the unicorn. @Ryonara You're k. @BrodZ11711 Sure.
I think you missed me. Am I accepted or not?
Both, but it's far more tiring to create water that manipulate what's already there.
