Current I’ve seen this argument before on the Internet. Pretty sure Drache is right because that’s literally the pronunciation found on the Nutella website.

Yeah... you just need to chill out. Look, you haven't been here for that long and you just gotta have patience. Throw your ideas and interest out there, that's all you can do to find good people.

Oh hey, someone who's not shitting all over Andromeda. It seriously fell short to meet its hype and animations were jank as hell, still wasn't a terrible game and I liked it.

Man... everytime Discord goes offline I'm reminded how important it is for my communications with people. All by myself now.

So I'm starting to feel sick, little bit of fever and all. That's the reason why I might not be too responsive.

Bio

Alright new bio because the one I had before was about... two... three years out of date? Basically I haven't touched this since I joined the site. Nothing fancy to say here, I'm a person who also happens to write stuff with other persons. Simple stuff. In a more serious note I mainly stick with 1x1s nowadays, but not for any particular reason other than that's how it worked out. I suppose the other major thing to note is if we do have an RP going, and I haven't responded for a while then feel free to get my attention. I'm also a fan of OOC chatter, its nice to have, but hey it isn't required either.

And... that's it.

The hamlet deserved to be called such, just a hamlet for good reason. Not only was this settlement's population on the sparse side, there were also a lack of any permanent structures made of real building materials, for most of the people made due in makeshift shacks that were barely held up by scrap wood. Although the idea of such a poor hamlet had been changing for the last decade, with a new trade route running directly through the land the small homestead brought about more in the way of traffic and especially traders who may have sought to offload extra merchandise for a guaranteed profit rather than risking to continue on. On top of that with the recent rise of demon encounters the hamlet eventually became the last bastion of humanity before entering demon infested lands, that is until reaching the next defensive settlement.

As Rena and Noboyuki entered the town square it became clear what affect the considerably new found prosperity had, in a circle around the center were newly build stone buildings, and a few others that were still under the hammer. Another thing to note was the many people out and about, while most of them were not real residents, only merchants and other such travelers, the number of bodies added to a joyous atmosphere. All along the roads leading in, shrewd business men had set up stalls to pedal whatever valuable wares they may have had on hand. Rena decided to take a closer look at one of these stalls, this man was dealing in jewelry, while odd that one would sell luxuries out in a backwater settlement, they certainly looked to be of fine quality, necklaces, rings, bracelets, and uncut gems. The girl was honestly tempted to see about taking something with her, but through self discipline she held back. They didn't have the budget to allow for such purchases, now that didn't stop here from touching and examining the jewels.

They spent half an hour simply exploring, mostly wandering with no real goal, after all they were taking some leisure time, it was a date. Rena at first was still somewhat tense, but as they continued on she gradually relaxed, and before long one could say she really was having fun. She was much more notably loose, not nearly uptight as normal, and perhaps more able to speak often engaging in small take with lot more frequency than before. Rena didn't talk about anything important other than going into detail into court life, what to say, and what not say, ways to remain diplomatic while dealing with higher society. It was not like she was giving instruction, rather it was more like just idle chatter in a friendly manner, even with a few minor jokes thrown in. Here the princess did stop worrying about keeping appearances, maybe forgetting to keep them, maybe sick of trying to lie, whatever the case is Rena, at least in the moment, enjoyed being able to be pleasant for once.
Wanted to get a post up hours ago, but my browser crashed and therefore ate my post... it was a sad moment.

This is based on that game! XCOM Terror from the deep, I think.

Yeah that's it, wasn't sure if it had the XCOM tag or not.

So, I got a question now while this is in the future, is it going to be how technology probably would be in five years, or are we going in the same style as Terror of the Deep?
Huh, I'm pretty sure that I remember a XCOMish game like this, forgot the name, but it was old school XCOM just fighting underwater although I think it was still aliens. Anyway I'm not saying I'll join but think I want to keep an eye of this one.
Rena actually seem to be listening deeply to what Noboyuki had to say, and well he had nothing good to say it looked like. She had to wonder, was his world really in such disarray? Whatever was happening, she was starting to become truly enthralled in their conversation. "You don't think our lords are corrupt here? I've heard many stories of stewards stealing small amounts of tax money from their liege, and for those more ambitious even to the point of in-fighting where one lord literally attempts to take land from another through direct military force. Bribery is common in the courts, even in assassination plots... if it were not for my father and the diligence of his courtiers I probably wouldn't be alive today as I am the last of my house, at least until I find marriage in order to continue my family line."

The princess motioned towards the same golden fields to their side, "If it were not for recent advances in agriculture, that land would be barren, the soil would be drained, while I'm not sure if that is the same as your 'ecological' problems, I'm willing to say that it is on a similar level in at least some way. I have traveled enough to know that across all cultures no one has more or less problems per say, not even different ones in essence, despite the huge differences between our two worlds I will still hold that to be true." Rena stopped walking, hopefully Noboyuki did the same, she still had the same thoughtful look about her, still thinking deeply on what the hero had said. "I have to wonder, do you really hate your home, your old life has much as you make it out to be? A home should be close to a man's heart, especially if that home holds family, I would hope that you had close relatives, or at a minimum friends back where you came from." She tilted her head questioningly, perhaps attempting to make it clear that she was somewhat confused by her companion's attitude.

She didn't wait for an answer before taking off down the road again, she didn't mean for Noboyuki to answer right there, that really maybe it would be better for him to take time to think about what she had asked, plus the town center of the hamlet was just in view. "Well, looks as if we made it to the hamlet proper, come on, I'd say we can pick up the pace provided you foot continues to behave." Rena started into a light jog, less time spent walking, the more time they'll be able to experience this small community's life.
And the return. Yay.
There Thisa was sitting in the grass of the yard, might not be the most comfortable spot to sit, but there was this novelty in enjoying the sunshine while surrounded by those small blades of plant. Even though they only started she was already getting used to the feel and just the general vibe of Saint Dymphna's, at least used enough to this school not to get lost of a daily bases, so that's a plus. The distinct sound of pencil meeting paper was dominating her local space, Thisa herself was intent on her own little project. In her lap was a tattered old spiral notebook, while not falling apart it had clearly seen some love over the last handful of years. On that day the subject of her drawings was a small motor and servo assembly, by itself the assembly wasn't anything too complex, but really it was a smaller piece to a much grander puzzle. Lots of shaking, set limit to 500RPM. Probably too weak, find alternative alloy. Sidebar too big, sand it down 1-2 CM. These were examples of notes written down, always one to improve her design Thisa was going over what existed, or more accurately what she planned to one day build seeing as she doesn't really have a way to machine these parts.

Even though she was extremely focused on wrapping up adjustments a sudden commotion on the walkway drew Thisa's eyes away from the white papers, curious in what happened she folded the page to serve as a marker for later. Book under arm, she got up from the mini-field of grass, not too mindful of any stains that could've remained. From her position way off Thisa could spot three people, one was some guy, average really not someone of note, and interestingly a pair of twins, not an everyday sight. More interesting it looked like both of the twins, a girl? Maybe it was a girl, was flat on her back, luckily off into the grass. The other twin, also on the grass, was met with an unfortunate face plant, if Thisa were to guess, that twin could be a boy, maybe. Thisa didn't want to get involved, least right away being at it was too early to tell what would happen, and well she wasn't up for social interaction. Instead the girl stood back, somewhat excited, to how this will pan out.
Mhm, just know that I am writing a post right now, so could maybe wait a little bit?
Alright time to start working on the return of the girl who loves them machines.
Noboyuki was a foreigner beyond a doubt, it wasn't so much as what he talked about, but the way he talked. To put in a way, the man would be in huge trouble in they were in a court proper for he didn't make out to be the best of diplomats. "You know, you would've angered many nobles with the way you talk, it is never wise for one to directly compare his own nation to another's, its how feuds start." Rena glared her usual glare at the man, but this time it didn't last when she started laughing lightly, a barely audible one, but still there. "Luckily you're only talking to me, so no true offense." He gave a lot of information, much more than she ever expected, though she was happy the hero was willing to share about himself just from her asking. Now she didn't understand a scrap of what he said, seeing as he used words and concepts not of her own world, but it was a good step up anyway.

When he asked her to share of her history, Rena wasn't surpised since the question was fully expected. After a pause just to gather her thoughts, she jumped right in. "Where to start... I traveled a lot. Not as a wanderer of course, that would be stupid for someone such as myself. No I have spent the majority of my life in many other courts rather than my father's in the capital province. Now most of them are within the kingdom itself still, so the expectations were the same, perhaps variations depending on the liege in question."

"Oh now foreign courts are a whole new beast, sometimes the difference between cultures is so vast, but the experience is worthwhile, especially learning to tolerate other peoples. I don't know how it is in your world, but here conflict is founded on such petty issues out of misunderstandings, despite the current age of the Demon King. My father, you know the king of Eskar, is known to be one of the most peaceful rulers in recent history, skilled diplomat with the military might and authority to back his claims. I plan on continuing what he started, using words to maintain good relations with our neighbors. Although... as for warfare, and well with the looming threat of the demons... I have doubts..." Rena trailed off, more lost in thought than ever.

Soon after she shook her head as if pushing her own thoughts away. "Enough of my ramblings, the focus should be on what we are doing now, and not so far in the future." Rena looked back to Noboyuki, "You've told me about your home, but what else is going on in your world... I wonder with a much more advanced society as you say, do your people face the same problems as mine?"
