'That hit didn't knock it out.' Goblin Arch did the closest thing to a frown as he stared at the rabbit, trying to think of what it'd try to do now. It didn't take long to notice how disoriented it was. Given that he was no longer hidden by brushes, all he did was to make a quick attempt in partly circling around the rabbit before he swinging his twig at the rabbits hindlegs, as that felt the simplest way to make sure it would be unable to run away.

A lone rabbit distracted with his food was perfect. And he even found out what kind of berries might be already to eat. He tightly held his weapon, took in a deep breath quietly as he slowly approached the rabbit. He waited until it just started to eat a berry before swinging his branch of wood overhead at the rabbit. Hopefully this would knock it out.

After observing a number of fights, successful and otherwise, Arch decided that he was ready enough to do this. With or without a partner. But he still had to be careful. He walked about, hiding behind the bushes in hopes to find any wounded rabbit or at least, a pair of rabbits fighting.

After hearing the speech from the old goblin, he knew for sure what he should do. He went outside and before looking for any horned rabbit, he went look for some tougher tree branches, hopefully one small enough for him to swing with ease.

No more food? Nothing unexpected, certainly someone has to at least feed themselves if they wish to live. Dying unmemorably? Why die at all? Live life to its fullest and keep living would be the best. Sadly, things did die as time went on, didn't they?

Arch thought quietly to himself at a corner, rather amazed at the name he got.

As for how to deal with the dangers of the world beyond... and how to kill the horned rabbits, he knew he had to find out himself. At least, he was told a bit about what was out there.

After observing the goblins moving around and about, he went out to look for a solid branch from a tree. Something half as big as him at most. While it took a while to find one solid enough that wouldn't just bend upon swinging at bushes, he felt ready.

With that he went about to observe the hunters and the rabbits, to get used to how the rabbits fought and the best way to kill them. Who'd be stupid enough to just go after one without even knowing how it fights?

Dᴀʏ 1

Much crying... annoyingly loud crying. Maybe he was crying too. It was dark... so dark... until he opened his eyes. He looked a bit to a side then the other. Things... no, goblins were crying all around him. On closer observation, it wasn't hard to noticed that some were just quietly asleep though. What was worse, he was like them. He... had to get up and start getting ready for everything, fast. But then the world started getting dark again as his eyes just closed, his mind slowed down and finally, he fell asleep.

And... again, awake. Some did nudge him awake this time though. The last two days have been mostly the 'wake up, think of the world and fall asleep' pattern. This time Arch even managed to sit up and look around. There were even those already trying to get up and walk... those stupid enough to try to run before they can walk. He had to keep in mind the stupid ones, they might use useful in the future. He stood up attempted to walk a bit and after considerable wobbling, he finally got good enough at the art to think he'd not trip and fall for now reason.

Only then did he think a bit more of his body, he walked all about the inside of the place where goblins have been mostly exploring the walls and observing the others about.

Gender: Male

Goblin Appearance: A 4' tall ugly goblin kin! He looks very average! No, really, he has no special feature at all and looks very bland, even for a goblin.

Hobgoblin Appearance: A hobgoblin that seems to be close enough to a goblin, if not for his increased height and slimmer body. He is only a few inches taller than most goblins with legs and arms visibly longer than what could be seen in a goblin. His sleek form has a nearly brown darker shade of green.

Personality: Arch is rather calm for a goblin and avoids the roudiest. He dislikes loud noises and avoids making them himself. He likes bright and shine things. While honestly he doesn't care much about others of the tribe, he understands that this world would be too cruel without them.

Past Life History: Arch was a writer in his past life though he was physically active in order to avoid illnesses. All in all, he was just your average writer (he wrote novels for love and articles for money).

Skill: Avid Learning - As a writer in his past life, Arch has some great affinity with letters. He can learn how to read faster than most while also having considerable ease of learning things from written manuals.

Other: I'm a Mighty Goblin! (And Arch just hopeful to learn new things in this world.)

- Sturdy Stick: It is just a stick Arch found on his first day out, to this day it is still with him.
- Earthen Weave: This bracelet is a constant conduit to the Goddess Shirila, allowing him to be protected even when alone, so if need be, he could speak to Shirila should the situation call for it.
- Fruit of the Earth Bear: When given to a cub will allow the cub to be a pet and follow the giver like a father.

Acquired Skills:
- Duelist's Stance: This stance has been passed down from soldier to soldier. It teaches the correct way to hold their weapon when faced with an equal opponent.
- Gravekeepers Spirit: Arch is able to feel the strength of those that have long since passed. When near a dead body or a skeleton, he is able to draw strength without the requirement of being a necromancer. Even carrying a skull as an adornment allows the goblins to be stronger, faster, lighter as they draw strength. However, drawing all the strength of a certain dead body or their parts will cause it to disintegrate into dust.
- Intense Strike: Intense strike is a move that brings the user the greatest power through a single strike with willpower alone. This strike can cause intense damage if aimed correctly and when upgraded can break bones to pieces
- Knowledge of the Three: Knowledge of the Three Great Gods. Ability to properly worship. Ability to create shrines in honor of the Three Great Gods.
- Primitive Medicine: The goblin now knows how to make primitive salves and bandages for fresh wounds. He can't make sophisticated medicine but can craft items that will ease pain and prevent infection.
- Stalking Stance: Stalking stance allows the user to enter a sort of stealth mode when hunting. The user is harder to detect and see while in the stance allowing for easier surprise attacks.

Titles: Fire Dampener: Higher resistance to fire and fire magic.

Yeah that would make you a literate goblin before anyone else the bookworm traits of learning from manuals and reading them easier is much clearer.

Yeah I think you did. As four your ability i would suggest changing it to something like "bookworm" and say that you learn from manuals easier. Saying your a learner is to broad and makes me think you are trying to sneak in an ability that gives you double the xp or something.

I'll change to bookworm, I really got that there too broadly XD But nah, was just to make my char a generalist jack-of-all-trade, eventually.

Can bookworm be 'learn from manuals easier' as well as 'learning how to read the previously mentioned manuals easier' as well?

Can you go into more detail about your skill avid learning? I'm having a hard time seeing how it would be useful to you and how it applies to this unforgiving world

Numerically, it'd be learning things in half of the time with half of the effort.

As for, how getting used to things learning new skills faster can help in an unforgiving world... Learning how to do things faster than most already seemed like a good way to not die. Though I may have phrase things very poorly.
