... Do I need to talk about the logistics of taking 18000 people the long way around the globe on 5 ships tops... Surely someone is noticing the problem with that? That's 3600 people per ship plus all the equipment, goods and resources they are supposedly being sent with, going the LONG way around the world. They'd need more food, and I don't think all the preservatives under the sun keep if fresh that long in this time period...

As an ally, I think you need to reconsider your numbers because if I'm honest I don't think most will survive this journey. Remember those random events Gowia was talking about? Well, I'd say pretty high on that list would be the chance of someone having brought a disease onboard or some of your food stores going off, and given your ships massive passenger numbers, that could be very, very dangerous indeed...
I've gotta be honest duck, I'm a bit worried about you being able to have 2 fleets with 12000 colonists and 6000 soldiers each to sail across a massive ocean with enough food to last a year, as well as the equipment and goods they will require in the new world, when you have about 10 ships total, most of which are small. Even if you could fit all that aboard, are you not concearned about the inevitable rapid spread of disease from having 320000 people squeezed on 10 ships?
Maybe... Maybe...
I'm the first to leave! I shall arrive first and claim the most fertile lands!
The ships left the harbour to the cheers of the gathered crowd. Even the Empress had attended, with her heirs, in order to turn over a Corustarian flag.
The Empresses Colours, touched by her own hand. Given rarely, if ever, these colours were a great pride... And great burden. For to lose these colours was to lose the Empresses favour, to fall from grace and leave no trace, a black mark upon a regiments record, an indelible stain upon the honour and dignity of its soldiers. Even the most cowardly of officers was willing to fight to protect these colours.
And the standard bearer flew the colours proudly from the ship as the soldiers lined behind him, singing their hearts out... The marines grudgingly joined in, clearly not enthused that the colours had been given to the army as a formality instead of to the marines for skill.
"...So fall in lads behind the drum/ with colours blazing like the sun/ along the road to come-what may/ over the hills and far away/ Here's o'er the sea's and o'er the land/ 'cross oceans, mountains, plains and swamps/ Our Empress commands and we obey/ Over the hills and far away..."

Four letters are sent out, proposing trade routes with the Vanjanan Empire, the Lance Empire, Numburg and Lydiah
The Overseers eyes began to glow dimly, before returning to normal. When he next spoke, he spoke int he tongue the Fleet Commander had spoken in "Understood. Identify" He said simply, tapping a few commands into his terminal and bringing up scans of the planet below in the holoterminal. It appeared that this contact was fighting some other creatures on the planets surface, but they seemed to primitive to have created the beacon, so he brushed that off and the planet was replaced by the hologram of an ai who had a quick exchange with him over archive records, ordering it to start a file for the new species.
Lakfakalle

The un-girl smiled weakly to the Abh and spoke quietly "Thank you..." before moving down the hallway and past them. The agents in the vent examined the Abh passing beneath, memorising their forms for usage. The Agent in the hallway saw the communications in its head, the 01 ordering the units to prepare to amputate the Abh. Don't, they do not require code Dagger It sent back, and the 01 paused before a message came back through They have a minute to move.
The agent turned to the equipment room and slowly opened it, quickly glancing down the hall to the Abh again before proceeding inside. It ran its eyes over the room, before examining a pilots uniform and taking it from the stand, examining it before donning it. It might contain some form of detection system, so the unit felt it would be safer to take the actual uniform just in case rather than merely mimic it. The agent turned, proceeding across the room and examining the weapons, taking one of the pistols and examining it. Somewhat primitive compared to the hardlight pistol, but the weapon seemed to be of an acceptable quality considering how the terrans had only recently resurged.

Distress signal

Patrol group three picked up the distress signal during it standard patrol route, coming from an area just outside their patrol path. As a result, the overseer turned the ships off course and towards the new signal. They jumped there and examined the situation in system. The scans showed the planet was certainly inhabited, and the Overseer tapped a few commands in his terminal before opening a channel to broadcast a message in Latin ((I'm too tired to translate this into actual Latin, sorry))
"This is Overseer Posthumus of the Collective, responding to a distress signal. Request information on situation so that we might aid you." He transmitted, as his bridge officers scanned over their new contacts. The Overseer came to the realisation that they might not know the language, so aa a result attempted to open a video link so that he might gain a position of the new contact and absorb their language... It would likely be more efficient than praying they knew the language after all!
No ones made contact with you? O.O well, that kind of defeats the point of a space Rp doesn't it!
i see, I'm going to beat you because my ships will set off much sooner then, huzzah! XD
Seems we choose the same spot for colonisation duck. I wonder who will get there first... Wait, my ships wont sink as soon as they leave the harbour... Well, I guess we know xD
