Yeah, I doubt the FEP is that happy that the UE is trumpeting its "Modern Empire" and "New Imperialism", which probably don't help the FEP's riot problem. There are a few obstacles for them to hurdle, as the FEP seem to be using the "Old Imperialism" method where might is right, in contrast the UE method of appeasing the citizens in hopes of avoiding a collapse of its Empire
Most of the FEP states were on pretty good terms with Britain at the time of the second world war and France (obviously the major player of the FEP, having been the biggest and strongest) and Britain had just faced trial by fire twice together, so I think there is a pretty good platform for relations if they are able to work around some of the disagreements.

Back to serious: Someone fighting against me so soon after ww2?! Well, I would be absolutely terrified, but thankfully I got to default on the debt to the US because of their "Old Imperialism which new imperialism will not tolerate!" so I am no longer hopelessly in debt and can rebuild a prosperous nation and defend it better. Long live the Union!
