Well, considering people call earth overpopulated now with just 8 billion people, you would need either super advanced technology, a hell of a lot of planets or both, I think the government would try to slow growth if it was 30 trillion a year

In ninja's defence, the RP hasn't set out clear rules for war, that's probably something that should be done... The cold war just got hot after all.

Also "We are 50 miles from Hawaii, you cannot stop us!" sounds an awful lot like someone in a losing position trying to bluff their way out, so I think swoop be right when he says exaggeration

UE Emergency action!

Following the invasion of the United Empire by the Chinese, the UE has mobilised its military. The forces in Burma, assisted by the Burmese Crown Police, have surrounded the Peace building and are preparing to take it back by storm. The Royal navy has landed reinforcements in Hong Kong in order to keep the territory in UE control. All borders with the Chinese and USSGRC have been reinforced, and the Royal Navy is blockading China while the RAF prepares to bomb China's cities. A royal Navy fleet has been launched to assist the UEAS at Hawaii, one group leaving from Wester Canada and into the pacific, another launching from North East Australia. Royal Navy vessels patrol the North Sea to watch for possible USSGRC forces and keeping their eye on the radar for submarines.
Twelve hours after the Chinese seize the Burma Peace Building, An SAS unit is deployed and sweeps out the Chinese forces. The SAS confirms that the Chinese left no survivors

The Alliance with the Brazilians has been accepted out of necessity.

To the USSGRC

There is no reason for the USSGRC to send its people to die for the ambitions of a power mad Chinese opium abuser. I have seen how much Russia suffered in the last world war, it does not need that again...

UE politics

The UE has officially recognized the Republic of Japan and condemned the Chinese for what they have termed "Brutal conduct unbecoming of human beings". It has refused to recognise the union between the USSGRC and China, stating "We find it simply incomprehensible that the good people of the USSGRC would enter a union with a country run by a man who advocates the murder of diplomats and is starting a war for the sake of war"

Well:

LCF: 1990's humans with space travel and a few other species. Only real asset they have is the Delphans, who recently received a major buff to their abilities, but still aren't really enough to put the LCF at the top of the power scale. Unadvanced, with a weak military and comparatively weak industry, their most dangerous weapons are those they have scavenged from their long since destroyed predecessor

Equestrian Empire: Mary suetopia of crystal spires and toga's on magical space ponies. Powerful nation who you probably shouldn't mess with unless you've prepared yourself. They also enjoy hiding behind their goddess, Faust. They believe predominantly in freedom, harmony and peace... And ironically have one of the biggest war records and have been completely destroyed several times over the ages, only to be brought back bt their goddess

Castully: An oligarchy with average technology and strength, with a relatively strong industry from what I can gather. They took over what was left of the former Zonanese empire and as such have the three Hach races as well

Sazkarjhit: Highly religious and with a well trained military, they have technology which I would say sits slightly above the average. The Sazkarjhit themselves are also physically strong, and this has led to them beigg respected warriors in the galaxy, even if their nation isn't considered among the most powerful

Supremes: Not much is known other than they reside above the current technology of most, if not all, the galaxy. Individually powerful and with strong ships, their main problem is due to their numbers: They are very low compared to most other powers

Chaos: Demons and gods of the warp, with their twisted mortal servants. They have no set technology, as they generally take and taint anything they find useful. Definitely the most powerful force... But fractured. The major chaos gods hate each other and as such tend to argue and fight, limiting their threat... But make no mistake, e
they are still very, very dangerous

Ceramus: They have relatively advanced technology and powerful ships, but they recently went through a war and are currently being attacked by the Imperials, which has driven a wedge through their progress

Imperials: An extra-universal empire that oppresses all non-humans and takes over anything they come across. They have advanced technology and certainly have man power... But their huge masses of soldiers seem to be acquired through conscription and they rely on brute force alone with little care for tactics. As such, the more professional armies have been able to kill large numbers of them as well as use elite teams to destroy their flagship and take their admiral.

The Collective: One of, if not the, most powerful local universe faction. They won the Universal War against the reapers through the use of an advanced device... Which subsequently tore apart entire galaxies and confined everyone to the milky way. They fought the reapers for over 50,000 years, and are one of the oldest factions. Made up of several species, they are far above the average tech level, and have a strong industry and a very powerful military. They are also considered oppressive, unethical, immoral and, for the most part, brutal, due to the greater good doctrine and an ingrained desire to unite the entire universe and beyond at any cost...

There are also more that I have (Sorry!) forgotten the names of, but one is essentially a nation locked in an endless civil war and the other is a rather average nation which hasn't done much for me to write about yet.

As for what's going on...

the collective is finally fixing its food problem (overpopulation)
Equestrians and Collective are finally starting some form of diplomatic relations other than "KILL!"
The Imperials are getting humiliated considering their pedigree, now that they have attacked the Ceramus
The Delphans are being Delphan and pretty much becoming the Collectives most hated being (Hkw dare they be arrogant! Only we are allowed to be arrogant, pompous pricks!)

Peace negotiations in the east

The UE has invited all parties involved in the conflict to the UE territory of Burma, as it is neutral ground for the involved parties. The aim is to solve the conflict in the east before it gets out of hand.

UESP

With the Engine Laboratory constructed, the UESP has began construction on a Vehicle Assembly Building. The Imperial Two has not yet been launched and is supposedly still under construction. There are rumours that it exploded on the launch pad, though Timish has come forward to clear the rumours by announcing that Imperial Two is to be a multi staged rocket instead of a single staged rocket. He has also announced that it will not be launched "For at least the next two years, possibly longer depending on several circumstances..."

Treaty banning the use of weapons of Mass Destruction

After a day of due deliberation, parliament agree's that weapons of mass destruction should be forbidden. Both Winston Churchill and King George VI sign the treaty agreeing not to use nuclear weapons, although the UE government has stated it will maintain a supply WMD's as a deterrent to foreign usage of such weapons

Soviet Union

The UE has accepted the non-aggression pact but has rejected the idea of a world alliance, stating that the UN, established in 1945, already fills that roll well enough

UN Resolution

The UE put forwards a resolution which requires approval by the UNSC (FEP, UE, UEAS, China and the Soviet Union make up the UNSC permanent council members, so I could the aforehere mentioned please vote in their next post? Thank you) imposing economic sanctions upon the Chinese and dispatching aid workers to help search for survivors from the Espacio De Vida's ships that were sunk by the Chinese and return them home. The UN would also condemn the Chinese for sinking civilian ships, but will not state explicit support for the NUJ given their leaders status as a war criminal

UE stance on the war

The Imperial Parliament and Imperial Prime Minister have called for peace talks between the warring nations, stating that WW3 is "Not in the interests of any peoples on the globe"

UEAS

The UE has requested that the UEAS are careful on where they fire their Thor one probe in the Antarctic, asking that they attempt to land it in a specific zone of one of the UE Antarctic Territories (Formally the claims of New Zealand, Australia and the UK, now all considered UE claims, and together dominate a huge chunk of the Antarctic. After Brazil invaded Argentina, the UE added the Argentinian Antarctic territory to their own, officially "Safe guarding it until such a time their country freed". After UEAS took over Germany, the (at the time British) claimed the German Antarctic territory under the same conditions. They proceeded to claim the unclaimed Land. This gave the UE almost complete dominance of the Antarctic, with only Norway and the FEP holding any other claims, holding the small Peter I island and the thin strip called Adelie Land respectively. As a result, the UE have sent a map of Antarctic with many proposed landing sites, asking that the UEAS attempts lands their rocket in one of these locations to avoid possible injury to the UE researchers in Antarctica, but are also close enough to research bases that the UE can recover it and ship it back to the UEAS. The UE imperial parliament consider it a chance to make minor improvements to relations and aren't about to pass up the opportunity.

To Espacio

The UE parliament demands that you released Belize, a territory you have unlawfully taken. Belize rightfully belongs free of your rule and the UE is willing to fight for its brothers: Release Belize back to the UE immediately so that proper diplomatic relations may resume between our two nations.

To the NUJ

Make no mistake Dr Mengele, the UE do not support the war crimes you and your fellow Nazi's commited. Our actions in the UN are not approval of your regime but concern for the Japanese people in the case of war.

FEP

The UE have wrote a letter of concern to the FEP regarding the rise of an aggressive imperialist faction in south America that might threaten both UE and FEP land in the region

Now that the rocket propulsion laboratory has been completed, construction has began on an Engine Laboratory

The "Imperial One" probe has been launched. Made of a liquid fuel engine (and obviously liquid fuel tank), its is carrying a thermometer, barometer, radiometer, spectrophotometer and a camera in addition to a parachute to help it land safely. It is to take readings of the conditions in space. Meanwhile, Timish is following the latest news from NASA intently, listening for anything of use. His son has started a charity and is touring the Empire looking for donations to help make up for some of the funding that they were not receiving from the government.
With some luck his underfunded program might not explode...
