What I don't get is why no one is rallying anti Iscandarian support IC if they think the EU are being too aggressive. You've got evidence and incidents to point to, just see if you can get anyone's support and declare a war of containment. Iscandarian hypocrisy will simply further your cause and damage theirs. Of course the EU will have a lot of support, their painting themselves that way, if you want to oppose them you've got to dispel the image their painting, turn people to your side etc.

"You allowed our holy Hall to fall to the parasites grasp? Your a colossal failure" The hologram blurted out at hum, its words broken as the transmission faltered "No, you're a heretic!"
"Noble Hierach, you must understand that once the parasite took the Blessed Armoury and-"
"Silence. There will be no rescue, commander. You will die in the once hallowed halls that you failed to protect, it is by your failure that they have been desecrated and it is by your death that the spirits that linger shall be released."
"The Halls of Zeal have fallen. There are few options left, we must call for aid while we still live, only by-"
"I know of whom you speak commander. The heathens among the stars... No. If we are to die we shall burn alone as the gods desire."
"Hierarchs, refusing to call for aid as our final world falls round us is heresy if I have heard any, we must-"
"I will not listen any more commander. I am cutting off your communications."
"Alas, I am alone."
"Commander. Your hierarchs abandon you, your faith ebbs as fate approaches. But this is not your tomb, though you are welcome here" Came the voice from behind. He spun around, drawing his weapon from his side and aiming at the humanoid shape before him. He squeezed the trigger but no energy was produced to kill the shape before him. The shape raised its arm to reveal that in its mutated hand it held his weapons energy core.
It stepped forwards into the light, revealing that its pale face had twisted into a small smile
"Kill me now, parasite, do not waste my time" The commander grunted, tossing his weapon to the ground
"We are the same: Commanders of our forces. The only difference is your trust was placed in leaders who would abandon you to your death for the inevitable. But they will not stop there, commander. In their eyes your failure is tantamount to heresy: Your family shall be killed and their corpses paraded around by your leaders in their final moments." The shape shook its head slowly. The commander grunted
"Do not taunt me, worm, you and your leaders are one and the same" He snarled, and the shape shook its head again
"You do not understand us. That is understandable. Commander, fight alongside us, for here we have a common foe. Your leaders plan to flee while your men die. You have their ear. Rally them to our common cause, help us get to your leaders, and we shall take them and leave your people. Think of your family and your species, commander, if you do not help ud, all will die regardless."
The commander hesitated for a moment. Whether he helped or not, the parasite had claimed victory here. The last hope for survival may lie in negotiations with the parasite. At the least it would buy him time and an opportunity to call for aid
"Very well, parasite. This contract is forged between us..."

I've been very much busy with rl commitments. I don't have much time on my hands at the moment. I am doing my best to keep up to date with the current events, however.

In all honesty, the idea of humans pretty much letting themselves get stomped and taken over by aliens when a way out just turned up on their door step is pretty far off, especially considering most humans won't even accept each others rule. That probably the biggest and most glaring problem. I think most humans would make the connection between this scenario and the arrival of the Europeans in the less advanced areas of the world
