Collective-Roman Contact There was a short pause in the dialogue before the AI responded in kind "Collective confirms Homo Sapeins presence. Priority adisory; subjects simian biology inefficient, evolution in progress. Exogen notice; Peaceful relations acceptable. Exogen species cataloged; Romus Human designated sub species of Homo branch. Request full biological and cultural information and long term communication establishment." Another Civilis Protectione craft jumped into system and a moment began to drift towards the planet, before seemingly recieving orders to move to assist the others in their circling of the exogen Roman Empire. It glided forwards silently through the black void and joined it's vulture-like brethren in what was forbodingly like a prelude to a danse macabre; A confirmation of peaceful intentions, it seemed, did nothing to cure the Collective of it's sickly suspicion of these outsiders. "Report business in sector black four." The AI stated in a calm, electronic voice, seemingly unaware of how hostile one might consider the movements of the Civilis Protectione ships. This was to the Collective standard proceedure. Unauthorised objects in their space were seen as a menace at best and an act of war at worst. Paranoia was too light a word for the Collective. Their society was based upon cynicalism and seeing the worst in just about anything. Although not so far as to be fatalistic, they were notorious for reporting just how likely everyone was to die in hard situations. This, coupled with their cold and calculating attitudes towards battle, gave them a reputation for being uncaring about their soldiers; In the eyes of their masters, the common soldier was completely expendable. While they were not one for unneeded casualities, it was not from any form of humanitarian stand point; It was simply that they expected maximum efficency from their officers... And failure to deliver could carry with it some very bad consequences for the one responsible...
Well, this looks like a fun ooc... :/
@darkwolf687Well, I couldnt really find any time line... Then you mentioned this and I found the orignial RP. Oops. Could you maybe help me abit with this? I would like to be able to keep the faction as much intact as possible, but if I there by break the RP's lore... well then it kinda gets hard to do so. Is there maybe a possibility there was a wormhole accident like this in different dimension? (grasping here, please help)
I'm not a mod so I lack the ability to approve anything like that, I'm afraid. Edit: And sorry for sinking your nations backstory mate :( Edit 2: Also, I would assume the year here is the same as the original RP so it's currently around 2087 ish if we're still using the average of one page = a year, but it might have changed given the interactions and all. Not sure if that's of much help
<Snipped quote by darkwolf687> I had a people that controlled less than an entire universe (just a bunch of galaxies) People beat on me for it, even though i did nothing with them.
Perhaps it was the starting with a bunch of galaxies and outmatching everyone else by default that was the problem with that, not the owning a bunch of galaxies, haha
Pfft. Universal Conquest. I laugh at such a thing. Come back to me when your in the game of controlling entire dimensions.
The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step... or a single universal >:)
"Left Earth Controlled Space" On the contrary, Earth never had anyway to get here, establish colonies or take any space beyond a complete accident, there has been no wormhole accident and correct me if I'm wrong but 250 years prior to this RP would put humans in a spot with no interstellar travel at all, wouldn't it?
Taoshe The High Councillors spoke in their white tongue to each other for a few moments, soft and friendly, most of their speech ended by the same word, repeatedly, which must have been some title or address. "Ehlnada emero ni, Timinous." Mercy said, his hologram leaning forwards slightly towards the Aradite before looking around the chamber and setting his gace on the two JIC officers for a moment before drifting back to Valag "Your people do not wait for the command to eat; How archaic." He commented before allowing Wisdom to take over his line of thought "You do not know our capabilities, Timinous? Were it not for our ability to fight, the Ghaj would have fallen centuries ago." He waved his hand almost dismissively, as if waving off the mere thought of the Ghaj not being capable combatants "And neither for that matter is the honour of either of our parties." Wisdom concluded, clasping his hands before him as he allowed Integrity to take over, whose hands lay limply on the sides of her chair. She was the only female on the council, not that an outsider could readily identify that, especially not once she was covered in her ceremonial councillors armour. Indeed, it was hard to identify the gender of any of the council members. "What Wisdom means is that your honourable response is most admirable; These Iscandarians quite clearly hold considerable advantages over you Septonians just from your own descriptions; That your ships are not prepared for combat and that even your technology appears to be considerably behind theirs makes it most impressive that you stand your ground. Most Pellani do not." She commented, now straightening her posture and tensing her arms; It looked almost as though her relaxed position was now forced, like a display more than the more true relaxation she had been showing a few moments before. Mercy took over again, Respect remaining oddly silent rather than taking a turn to speak "We shall send warriors to that location, that we can promise. If we cannot spare a standing force or near-age Creche then we may raise a world-levy. No word, on the other hand, shall we make about ships, for sparing a true battle-group may be difficult given our current and long standing conflicts." Mercy bowed his head slightly at the phrase 'long standing conflicts' and then raised it again not a moment later "As for questions, Timinous; What are your forces for this conflict? Outline yours and I will outline what you can expect."
United? Perhaps in your dreams, galaxies don't get united... They get conquered; preferably by me... Universe Domination, is that so much to ask? I don't think so...
I was informed when creating my app that teleportation is line of sight, especially in the case of personal teleports, so isn't GPS location teleportation against that rule? Also, taking tech from another galaxy implies movement between galaxies, are we permitting that now?
Indeed, haha. Well, I'm confident in my naval power, so.,, "Rule Brita... I mean Corustaria! Corustaria rules the waves!" *evil laugh*
